Chapter Five Hundred and Thirty Nine Talking about Buddha
When Xia Qingyang was bringing the saints to visit, of course, he went out to greet him in person.
"I have seen a saint, but I don't know what the saints are visiting?"
Just behave well on the surface, but Xia Qingyang was too lazy to be polite and asked questions directly.
The saint's face was painful, as if he was worried about the suffering of ordinary people.
He didn't say what was going on, but just asked: "How does my uncle Qingyang think of my Buddhism?"
Xia Qingyang hesitated a little and then said, "The vastness of Buddhism is all about great wisdom."
"Young Master Honglian has also benefited a lot from learning Buddhism."
"And there is also a Buddha who is great enlightenment and great good, and the great compassionate Bodhisattvas are in charge, which is admirable."
He only talked about how wonderful Buddhism is and how excellent Buddha Bodhisattvas are, but he doesn’t talk about how Buddhism is.
This is where his attitude lies.
Who in this world can say that the great aspiration of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is not great compassion?
Who can say that Guanyin Bodhisattva, who self-disciplines the goodness of Buddhism, is not great compassion?
Who can say that he can carry the poison of Lingshan incense with his own strength? The Buddha, who is the devil in Buddhism, isn’t the great enlightenment and great good?
The examples given by Xia Qingyang are all people who cannot even tell the truth about Buddhism.
But these Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were later explained from the Taoist sect. Even if Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva came from the original Western teaching, he was also excluded because of his incompatible status.
Then the question is, who is Xia Qingyang looking down on?
That’s right, he just looked down on the people who used to be Western religion and now actually control Xiniu Hezhou!
In particular, it seems that Buddhism appears in an eclectic attitude, paying attention to the equality of all beings.
But in fact, Xiniu Hezhou has always been under the control of the Great Brahma tribe.
The Brahma tribe was the essence of the Western religion, and its leader Brahma was the first disciple who guided the Taoist.
Among the Brahma tribes, there is Vishnu who is in charge of actual affairs, who is a disciple of Taoist Shunti.
There is also Shiva, who is in charge of the battle of the war, who is the disciple who guides him again.
The Great Brahma tribe completely controlled Xiniu Hezhou. Although the disciples of the Taoist sect were in Lingshan, they had almost no say in Xiniu Hezhou.
Therefore, Xiniu Hezhou, as the basic Buddhist stadium, has always been in the hands of his own people.
Xia Qingyang once asked Senior Brother Duobao about this situation, so he could know how frustrating the Buddhist leader was in Lingshan.
The two Western Saints seemed to treat him well, but they never handed over the substantial rights to him.
Because Xiniu Hezhou is also the West, it is nominally managed by the Western Buddha Amitabha Buddha, and this Amitabha Buddha is the incarnation of the good corpse that leads the saints.
Compete for territory with the saint?
This is obviously impossible.
The benefit that the two Western saints promised to Duobao was the territory after the spread of Buddhism in the east.
As expected, every saint is not easy to meet. This is simply to let Senior Brother Duobao be a pig and dog while keeping the basics.
This is the case with the strategy of expelling wolf and swallowing tigers.
Of course, the two Western saints knew that these Taoist disciples were not trustworthy, but as long as they could be driven to spread Buddhism throughout the Nanzhan Continent or even to Dongsheng Shenzhou, their fundamental purpose would have been achieved.
Everyone knows that the Southern Continent will be humanitarian and prosperous.
So the question is, is it Daxing dominated by Taoism or Daxing dominated by Buddhism?
This is a very problematic.
Take the current humanitarianism of the South Zhanbu Continent for example.
The Han Dynasty governed the country with a volume of "Tao Te Ching", and the emperor governed without doing anything, and shared the world with scholars and officials.
Therefore, the population of the Southern Continent began to recover rapidly, and the popularity of the Mohist school (Jie Cult) was the heroic spirit, which made the world become more martial and brave. This grand atmosphere is simply visible to the naked eye.
Although the Hu tribe is still in trouble in the north, the potential for rest and recuperation is clear at a glance.
How could this atmosphere not make Buddhism envious? Unfortunately, this prosperous and vibrant human fortune seems to be in conflict with Buddhism.
Most missionary actions have been set to date.
After all, there is a feeling of lying flat in Buddhist teachings.
Of course, that is what makes people accept changes from the outside world with a more peaceful attitude, and do not be happy with things or sad with themselves.
But the problem is that in this prosperous environment, whoever is Buddhist will fall behind!
After working hard for a year, the whole family's living standards have increased to a higher level.
You chant scriptures at home for a year, and although you can't starve to death, you have fallen into a very high level in quality of life.
Especially, when other people's family saves more, they can support more children, and then let more children work, and continue to improve the strength of the family and even the family.
As long as you are willing to work hard, the benefits can be seen with your naked eyes. How can this make people vague?
Although the "Western Pure Land" described in the mission is very desirable, the question is, who knows what will happen after death?
It also makes people feel interesting. The great wisdom in Buddhist scriptures teaches people to enjoy the present and the beauty of the present, but they always depict the future when preaching.
So I have to ask Xia Qingyang how to view Buddhism?
He respects Buddhism's wisdom very much, but he disdains his beliefs.
That is: you can learn Buddhism but not trust Buddhism.
Of course, he would not express this view directly in front of the saint, that would be a breakup.
But how wise is the saint?
The saint only conjectures his meaning from his one-sided words.
The bitter face turned a little wrinkled again, and he sighed: "I know what my nephew means, but can I know that there are wisdom in the world, and how many people who study Buddhism can have?"
"I, Buddha, want to save all the people of the world, not just those who have numbers."
What this said...is nothing wrong with it, and it also shows the compassionate heart of Guizhi.
Xia Qingyang felt that as long as he made his statement in this regard, there was no need to argue with the saints.
He said: "The saint is right."
Judging from how good this attitude is, it is beyond reproach.
Jie Yin shook his head helplessly, and he said, "Junior Brother Zhunti has done it before. I am willing to come here to reach a reconciliation with Qingyang's nephew."
Xia Qingyang knew this.
Zhunti still wanted to hold on, but Jie Yin couldn't stand it anymore.
He nodded and said, "Buddhism can be spread to the east, and my eastern land must also go west to obtain the sutra."
This is a matter of initiative.
Guizhi thought about this slightly, and then thought there was no problem.
Now that Buddhism wants to spread the scriptures to the East, all it lacks is a breakthrough. As long as this breakthrough is opened, no matter how it is opened, it will be beneficial in his opinion.
"good."
He agreed.
Xia Qingyang's heart fell to the ground, and the plot of Journey to the West was completely decided.
Of course, both of them knew very well that Buddhism would not stop preaching before Journey to the West, and would not stop continuing the Eastward spread of Buddhism after Journey to the West.
The only benefit of Xia Qingyang doing this is that the scriptures obtained from Journey to the West will become the "official version", which is very operational.
