Young Master Red Lotus smiled "hehe" at Tathagata Buddha, then patted his forehead, and it turned into a bright twelve-pin red lotus that spun around.
Then the red lotus flew directly out of Lingshan and disappeared, and this was the beginning of another incident.
On the Lingshan Mountain, everyone who had been gearing up to cause trouble suddenly sat on their knees.
One of Buddha's great disciples, Venerable Kassapa, asked angrily: "I, Buddha, do you still need to arrange the seventy-two difficulties?"
The gods and Buddhas on Lingshan Mountain were very angry at that time. The Seventy-Two Difficulties?
This is not the seventy-two difficulties for Buddhists, it is clearly the seventy-two difficulties for you!
No one would have thought that this master would actually be the Buddhist scripture seeker himself. Is he so disrespectful of his identity?
However, they have no choice. Young Master Honglian has been willful for more than a day or two. Have they ever successfully stopped him?
At this time, the big-bellied Maitreya Buddha sitting under the Buddha said: "Everyone think about it from another angle. At least the Lord Honglian has left Lingshan!"
When the gods and Buddhas thought about it, there was nothing wrong with it!
Then stare at whoever is pregnant, and judge whoever is wrong, and send the disaster of a set of curses from heaven and man to leave Lingshan!
The Joyful Dingguang Buddha was so happy that he wept. How long had it been since he had practiced properly?
Fortunately, this man is gone, otherwise he would have doubts about his joyful Zen method, wouldn’t it be ruined?
There was a sound of relief from the top of Lingshan Mountain, and no one knew who he was insulting.
And what about Mr. Honglian?
He did not reincarnate through reincarnation, but flew directly to Nanzhan Buzhou.
He didn't even bother to find someone to surrender to. Anyway, the Tang Dynasty had just founded the country, and although the country's fortunes were booming, it had not yet completely taken off.
For this new empire to rise, it must first overcome the effects of troubled times.
Under such circumstances, Young Master Honglian transformed into a handsome young man and entered the White Horse Temple in Luoyang. He first gave himself a layer of Buddhist ‘golden clothes’.
White Horse Temple was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty and is the first Buddhist temple in Nanzhan Buzhou. It is also the result of the tireless efforts of Buddhists over the years.
Now, as the prosperous age is coming, the incense of the White Horse Temple is becoming more and more prosperous, and the status of the monks who come from here is naturally extraordinary.
Three years later, he wore this bright red gold silk cassock and went to Chang'an, the imperial capital, to preach as the youngest eminent monk of White Horse Temple.
On the way, he took a slight detour and picked up a wooden basin floating in the Yaxia River, and picked out an orphan from it.
He came all the way to Chang'an, the imperial capital, and it seemed that he could still see the scene of the Han Dynasty swallowing up mountains and rivers.
It is a pity to say that although the Han Dynasty was powerful, there were still too many foreign enemies around it, and it was surrounded by wolves and eventually perished in the war.
By the time of the Tang Dynasty, there were very few foreign enemies around, or in other words, very few that could be called serious enemies.
When the external pressure is not that great, coupled with the hard work of Mohist craftsmen for so many years, productivity has developed to a very advanced level.
In this way, it can be regarded as pushing the entire society to an unprecedented peak.
According to the calculations of the great powers of the heavens, this can be regarded as a double peak of military force and civil governance. I am afraid that there will never be such a peak again in all dynasties in the future.
When Buddhism spread to the East, it was precisely at this juncture that it was chosen, which can be said to be a precise calculation.
Young Master Honglian came to Chang'an and went directly to Da Ci'en Temple to stop.
After preaching the Dharma at Daci'en Temple, I immediately convinced the monk in the temple to obey him, and then I willingly took care of his child...
That's right, although he knows many spells that can be useful when taking care of children.
Such as hypnosis, cleansing, silencing spells, etc.
But he felt that for the sake of the child's physical and mental health, he should leave it to the old monks in the temple. Anyway, the old monks were the most caring.
He slowly and leisurely lectured on Buddhism and the wisdom of Buddhism in Chang'an, but he did not mention anything about faith.
Study Buddhism without believing in Buddhism, respect Buddhism without serving Buddhism.
This is also the concept he repeatedly emphasized when teaching Buddhism.
The Buddha has great wisdom and tries to describe the indescribable realm in words.
This is actually the same as many Taoist scriptures, but the description in the Buddhist scriptures is more straightforward and detailed.
The descriptions in Taoist scriptures are ethereal intentions, such as "Mountains are not mountains, water is not water", descriptions that require self-realization by the wise.
The description in the Buddhist scriptures is more straightforward, and even the state of "the five aggregates are empty" is described in detail.
The so-called "all five aggregates are empty" is actually a state of concentration, and it is also a state of mind that must be possessed when the spirit enters a certain level.
In this aspect, Buddhism and Taoism are actually interlinked, but Taoist classics are mostly shrouded in clouds and fog, and you always need a master to guide you in order to understand them clearly.
The Buddhist scriptures describe it more straightforwardly, and a wise person can realize it by studying it.
From this aspect, Master Honglian actually likes to read Buddhist scriptures.
It's a pity that his ideas are incompatible with Lingshan's Mahayana Buddhism.
What Mahayana Buddhism practices is to save others and save oneself, and save others first. This inevitably means spreading ideas and teachings to the world in order to save oneself.
This has led many good men and women to learn Buddhism, and if they want to transcend, they spontaneously preach for Buddhism, thus continuously expanding the influence of Buddhism.
And such good men and women who are determined to save others can be called "Bodhisattvas".
Therefore, in Buddhist belief, Bodhisattvas are extremely good.
But Young Master Honglian only loves Hinayana Buddhism.
Hinayana Buddhism was slowly developed after the introduction of many treasures into the Buddhist teachings. It is a method of saving oneself and helping others, with saving oneself first.
The so-called "transfer oneself" means to enrich oneself first, cultivate one's own wisdom, and see one's true nature.
Only by "transferring people" in this way can we give people correct guidance and reduce the occurrence of "good intentions leading to bad things".
Those who can "cross oneself and cross others" in this way can be called "Arhats".
What is taught in Nanzhan Buzhou today is Hinayana Buddhism, because Mahayana Buddhism had no room for survival before.
Only Theravada Buddhist monks who first save themselves and then save others can pass down this wisdom.
Young Master Honglian is actually an Arhat in Buddhism, but his name is too loud and his fists are hard, so he is respected as "Lord Honglian".
Now in Chang'an Daci'en Temple, he has also become the famous "Red Lotus Master", known as the "Living Buddha".
Gradually, as he lectured publicly several times, he became the most popular person in Chang'an.
How this Buddhist teaching is taught is another matter, but his long shawl hair, his unparalleled face, and the lotus mark between his eyebrows have become the favorites of young girls and women throughout Chang'an City.
Every time he lectures in public, the streets are packed with thousands of people.
It was also when the men in Quan Chang'an clenched their fists and wanted to beat him to death.
It has been more than a thousand years since Buddhism was spread to the east, but it has never been so grand.
This also caused silence on Lingshan Mountain... Could it be that their appearance no longer conforms to the current world's aesthetics?
All the gods and Buddhas with glittering gold and rich appearance looked a little melancholy.
