Chapter 33 Eat Hot Pot in Snow

"Brother, get up quickly. It's snowing heavily. Make me a snowman to play with!"

Yan Jiedi came over early in the morning and woke up Yan Jiecheng.

In the past few years, the weather was relatively dry, and there was no heavy snowfall in Sijiucheng. This year, the weather returned to normal. Starting last night, heavy snow fell all night.

When it snowed heavily before, Yan Jiedi was still young and had no memory of it. Seeing such heavy snow, she insisted on building a snowman.

On a big weekend, transportation was inconvenient and the date was about to be scrapped. When I got up, I saw all the old and young men in the courtyard getting up to clear the snow.

Yan Jiecheng took the broom from the third uncle's hand. The third uncle was so old, not as strong as the first uncle, and not as fat as the second uncle, so it was better not to participate in such manual labor.

Follow the others to clean up all the snow in the courtyard first. There are more people and more strength. Although the courtyard is quite big, it didn't take long.

No wonder people living in this large courtyard house had to hire servants, and cleaning was a problem.

Then I brought a ladder and cleared the snow off the roof of my house. This kind of tile house collapsed under the weight of heavy snow.

After sweeping away all the snow in the yard, use a broom and shovel to sweep the inside of the alley.

A road should also be cleared in the alley, and the snow should be swept to both sides of the road. There will be more people on the street, with adults and children everywhere. If a child slips, there is no need to help him. He pats his butt and stands up again and becomes a good man again.

After finishing her work, Yan Jiedi came over again. It was a cold day, dressed like a bear, and she had a layer of Yan Jiekuang's cotton jacket on the outside of her little cotton-padded jacket. In memory, Yan Jiecheng should have been eliminated.

I built a big snowman, about the same height as Yan Jiedi. I used two buttons for eyes and a carrot for the mouth. I also found a broken straw hat and put it on. (The buttons and the broken straw hat have an explanation, and they will be taken back when the snow melts.)

The little ones started to compete with each other to see whose snowman is taller, whose snowman is bigger, and whose snowman is prettier. Children's happiness is that simple.

The little girl is relatively quiet, but the naughty kids like Yan Jiefang and Yan Jiekuang are very noisy. There are more and more people in the snowball fights, and the scale is getting bigger and bigger. Every time it snows heavily, there are always a few families who have their windows smashed.

Broken into pieces, an apology and a meal of fried pork with bamboo shoots are indispensable.

This time, the glass in Siheyuan's home, Sha Zhu's, won the prize. Congratulations to the naughty children for having an extra meal of fried pork with bamboo shoots. Sha Zhu is a messy person, but he doesn't care about educating other people's children.

If you catch it, your butt will blossom, and you will continue to receive another meal when you go home.

A snowy day goes well with hot pot. I go out for a walk and come back, take out the mutton given by my father and eat hot pot.

This was still an era when mutton was cheaper than pork. The price of meat was usually 70 cents per pound. It was despised by people because it had no oil, but it was delicious.

Stir-fry the bottom of a mushroom soup pot, (most of the mushrooms are the family tribute of Comrade Xu Damao, thank you Xu Damao, Xu Damao is a good comrade.) Cut the mutton into thin slices, cabbage, radish, carrots, sweet potatoes, and vermicelli.

There are not many ingredients, but the atmosphere is suitable, and everyone is happy to eat. After eating, everyone shares a bowl of noodles made with hot pot soup. I can only say in Sichuan dialect that it is very delicious.

As we all know, hot pot is very delicious, and the whole courtyard is filled with the aroma of mutton.

Especially listening to the funny kids making trouble at home makes me happy twice as much.

"Mom, grandma, I want to eat mutton. The mutton tastes so good!" Banggeng started to act up.

"Qin Huairu, you're such a loser, why don't you buy mutton for our family?" Jia Zhang, a big foodie, was also greedy.

"Mom, where are the meat tickets in our house? They were eaten as soon as they were given out. Besides, where are the muttons sold at this time?" Widow Qin said aggrievedly every day.

"Mom, grandma, I want to eat mutton. I haven't eaten it in a long time." Comrade Banggeng's second move was rolling.

"Then why don't you go see who is eating? You won't go and ask for some."

"Mom, I've seen it all. The third uncle is eating it. How could there be any for us?"

Jia Zhang was also angry when she heard that there was no hope that she would go to whoring for free.

"You said that our Jia family married a wife like you, abused the elderly and children, and couldn't even eat some mutton."

The two of them had agreed to act to gain sympathy, but at this point it was hard to tell whether it was true or not. They might have been speaking from their hearts.

Qin Huairu didn't speak or resist, she just stared at her big eyes and cried silently.

"Wow... wow... I want to eat mutton. If you don't eat mutton, you won't be my mother or my grandma." Banggeng cried loudly in the third move.

Qin Huairu had no other choice, so she went outside and squatted at the door of her house, watching Sha Zhu cry at her house.

The middle courtyard is so lively. After Banggan finished crying, Xiaodang cried, Xiaodang cried, and Sophora japonica also cried when she was hungry. The three of them performed solos and choruses, accompanied by Jia and Zhang's scoldings, and it was like a large-scale symphony.

Then everyone heard the noise.

The eldest brother was at home, and he was as anxious as a cat scratching his head. He didn't want to go and deliver it to Jia's family in broad daylight. Besides, the eldest mother was still at home.

Silly Zhu, a bachelor, doesn't care about this.

Isn't it just some mutton? He stupidly can't get it when he's not at work.

I can't help but go and comfort the widow. See how wronged I, Sister Qin, am.

Come over and squat with the widow, "Sister Qin, don't you just want to eat mutton? What a good boy, you can find food by yourself. When I issue the meat tickets, I will buy it for you."

When the widow heard this, she thought, what are you doing with those two taels of meat tickets? She said that they were given to me in the first place, so she continued to feel aggrieved.

"Sister Qin, let's do this. When I get to work tomorrow, I will bring you some more meat and vegetables. If there is mutton in the cafeteria, I will bring it back to make mutton for Banggeng." Silly Zhu looked at me, Sister Qin, who was not satisfied and decided to continue adding more meat.

"Si Zhu, you are the only one who is good to Sister Qin. You are such a good person." Widow Qin was satisfied and asked Si Zhu to touch her little hand, and Si Zhu received a good person card.

Jia Zhang, who was eavesdropping in the room, heard that the benefits had been obtained.

"Qin Huairu, what are you and Shazhu doing? You must remember that you are the daughter-in-law of our Jia family, why are you so close to Shazhu?"

"Silly Zhu, stay away from Qin Huairu. Don't think that I don't know what you think. Don't think about our Jia family's daughter-in-law!"

For Jia Zhang, even if Silly Zhu is a thief-minded but not courageous guy, he still has to beat him from time to time. If he doesn't care, what will happen if Silly Zhu continues to push his limits.

"Shazhu, you go back first, Banggeng will remember your kindness."

The goal was achieved, and Widow Qin also followed Jia Zhang's wishes and drove Si Zhu away.

Silly Zhu just followed this trick, and it was not a loss, so he touched his little hand again.

Licking dogs know how to conquer themselves, and Silly Pillar, as the best licking dog among licking dogs, is the master among them.

Qin Huairu needs me so much, doesn’t that mean she cares about me? If she touches my little hand, doesn’t that mean she likes me? If she isn’t polite to me, doesn’t that mean she treats me as a family member?
