Chapter 1 Mountain Ghost

Mao Shi.

He pushed aside the lush green branches and looked down at the clear stream at his feet, in which the figure of a slender young man was vaguely reflected.

"Where is this."

The young man lowered his body, took a handful of stream water with both hands and wiped his face. A bone-deep coldness penetrated his cheeks, and he suddenly became much more alert.

This mountain stream is on the backside of the mountain and is not exposed to sunlight all year round, so this clear stream is so shady and cool.

Boom!

Without any warning, a distant and powerful bell sounded throughout the mountains.

The young man barely stood up, feeling a wave of powerlessness coming over him, and he almost fell into a narrow stream.

He lowered his head and looked at himself carefully. The dark black brocade robe made of silk and satin was already damaged by branches. The long black hair had lost the restraints of the hairpin and hung loosely against the handsome white cheek.

Come down.

The forged shoes with gold embroidery were somewhat open-soled, and the Beijing white jade pendant hanging from the ribbon around her waist had long since disappeared. Only a delicate red rope was left hanging empty from the ribbon. She was in an extremely embarrassing state.

"My name is Ji..."

The young man frowned and reluctantly remembered his last name, but suddenly he felt a sharp pain like a needle pricking between his eyebrows, causing the memory he had just gained a clue to fall into chaos again.

Boom!

The second bell rang again, but it was much sharper than before. There was even a hint of inexplicable weirdness in it, which made people shudder.

The young man knelt down and immersed his head directly into the clear and translucent stream.

After a few breaths, he raised his head from the cool stream. The severe pain between his eyebrows had been relieved a lot.

He stretched out his sleeves and casually wiped the water drops on his face. He fell down by the stream and breathed a sigh of relief.

Boom!

The third bell rings throughout the mountains and fields!

The sharp and resentful screams followed the ringing of the bell and passed directly through the ears into the deepest part of the mind, causing the young man to shudder subconsciously.

"What on earth is this sound? The bells of ordinary mountain temples will never be so weird."

Before the murmur could finish, two consecutive translucent sound wave ripples came from a very far distance, directly lifting the young man several feet away and causing him to hit a towering rock.

Flesh and blood splattered.

After a few breaths, the young man reluctantly sat up, reached out with a trembling hand and touched the left side of his forehead, where he felt a sharp pain like tearing through the bones.

Blood flowed down his cheek, and the pain that came from the injury every moment almost made him faint.

But when he looked up and saw the third translucent bell ripple slowly spreading from the high mountains, he had no time to hesitate. He rolled over with all his strength and rolled straight into the narrow and deep mountain stream beside him.

among.

Within a moment, sound wave ripples more violent than the previous one swept across. The earth shook and the mountains shook, gravel collapsed and splashed, and even the stream stopped flowing.

Tick.

"My name is... Ji Yuenian."

The young man looked up at the intermittent drops of water dripping between the cracks in the rocks. Most of his face was covered with blood scabs that had not completely solidified.

He finally remembered his name in what little memory he had left.

Ji Yuenian was leaning on the wet rocks at the bottom of the stream and slowly relaxed. The wound on his forehead was shocking, even the flesh and blood rolled out. At first glance, it looked extremely ferocious.

After raising his head and looking around where he was, Ji Yuenian realized that this place was a dead end, and the mouth of the gorge that he had just rolled down was already tightly blocked by dense rocks.

He shook his head slightly, lowered his body, picked up a handful of cold stream water from the sunken stone puddle and wiped his face.

After cleaning up the blood stains on his face a little, Ji Yuenian sat down on the ground in this dark and narrow mountain stream, regardless of the cold and humidity here.

His physical strength was really lacking, and he could only try to push away these tightly blocked rocks after taking a rest to recover a little bit.

After an unknown amount of time, the light from the cracks in the rock had completely disappeared, and it was already late at night.

With some effort, he opened his eyes. Ji Yuenian woke up from his deep sleep. What he saw was a despairing silence and darkness.

"I must have slept for six or seven hours."

Ji Yuenian's mouth was as dry as fire, and he couldn't help but stretch out his hands to touch the rocks in front of him in the darkness.

After touching for a long time, he finally touched the stone puddle with some stream water left. He picked up a handful of cold stream water and put it into his mouth, and his lips and teeth gradually became moist.

"This place is so humid and dark. If I can't escape in a short time, I'm afraid I will really die in this mountain stream."

Ji Yuenian's thoughts were flowing, and he tried again to recall the forgotten memories, but what he responded to was still the increasingly severe needle-pricking pain between his eyebrows.

Suddenly, a gust of bone-chilling cold wind blew across my face.

Ji Yuenian was forcing himself to endure the pain between his brows, when he was suddenly startled, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

This place has been blocked by rocks, leaving only a few extremely small gaps. How could there be such a strong wind!?

A pale halo of light gradually filled the mountain stream, dispersing all the deep darkness. Ji Yuenian could clearly detect that there was an extremely cool aura behind him.

"Who!?"

After secretly calming down his somewhat panicked mind, Ji Yuenian suddenly turned his head, and what he saw was a beautiful girl in a snow-white dress.

The girl stands in the air with her bare, slender and white feet, her long black hair hangs down to her waist, her snow-white dress is glowing with a light moon-white halo, her delicate little face has picturesque eyebrows, and she is extremely beautiful.

Extremely.

She lowered her eyes and looked at Ji Yuenian carefully, and the smile on her face bloomed like ice and snow melting, even making this dark and cold mountain stream seem to be filled with a touch of warmth that did not actually exist.

But the next moment, Ji Yuenian's pupils suddenly shrank.

The red lips of the girl in white clothes had been stretched to the limit, but they were still splitting towards the ears. After a few breaths, her beautiful little face had completely turned into a terrifying one with only ferocious mouthparts.

Weird face!

"What a fresh stranger."

A hoarse and unpleasant voice came out from the squirming mouthparts on the girl's face, and waves of cold breath invaded, washing Ji Yuenian from head to toe. It was even thousands of times colder than the stream at his feet.

times.
