Those Things in the Ming Dynasty Part 3 The Enchanting Court _ Chapter 14 The Comeback

hatred

One hundred and nineteen years ago, Ning Wang Zhu Quan met Yan Wang Zhu Di who came to visit him. Due to a moment of carelessness, this most warlike prince among all the princes was deceived by his brother and kidnapped to Beijing to help bring peace to the world.

Disaster.

In order to make King Ning work hard, Zhu Di also promised that once he successfully conquered the world, he would divide the whole country and everyone would get half of it.

Of course, he naturally forgot about the matter afterwards. King Ning didn't care about it. He just asked to go to Hangzhou and live a comfortable life for a few days, but he didn't allow it. King Ning still didn't care about it and hoped to go to Wuchang. He

No.

Finally, he ordered King Ning to go to Nanchang. King Ning did not resist or criticize, he packed up his things and went away obediently.

Prince Ning was not without a temper, but he knew very well that losing his temper or protesting was of no use, because he did not have the strength to negotiate terms.

But his anger could not be appeased. He asked his descendants not to forget the shame he had suffered.

The seeds of hatred were passed down from generation to generation and finally blossomed at this moment, and the person who turned them into fruits was called Zhu Chenhao.

Zhu Chenhao is a very ambitious man. As a descendant of Prince Ning, he inherited the hatred and aggressive character of his ancestors. At the same time, he also saw that Zhu Houzhao was not a man who could be peaceful as emperor. After a long period of observation and

After thinking about it, he decided to take action.

But soon, he discovered a big problem - there were no soldiers.

Because the King of Yan, Zhu Di, was a rebel, he was especially prepared for the feudal princes to rebel, so when he became emperor, he implemented a large-scale reduction of the army. Of course, those who were cut off were all the feudal princes' guards.

When Zhu Chenhao arrived here, he was almost a bare commander, a group of subordinates and soldiers, and a bunch of broken guns and knives. This was all his belongings. It was difficult to catch a thief, but he wanted to rebel? That was really funny.

Already.

It was impossible to ask for instructions to recruit troops, which would be equivalent to writing the word "rebellion" on your forehead. In desperation, he remembered an ancient wisdom rule in Chinese culture - go through the back door.

His first backdoor was Liu Jin. After sending a lot of money, he requested to resume guarding, and Eunuch Liu approved it with a stroke of his pen. Zhu Chenhao was extremely happy.

Unfortunately, not long after that, Eunuch Liu was beheaded. The person who took over did not accept the benefits and dismissed his bodyguards with a stroke of a pen.

Zhu Chenhao couldn't even cry. The money was given away for free. While cursing the evil people who took money and did nothing, he continued to raise money to give gifts. This time his target was Qian Ning.

The words "Qian Ning" and "Incorruptible" were simply irreconcilable, and he accepted them without saying a word. He also made it clear that if you have any difficulties, just ask, brother.

With his help, King Ning's guard was established again, and he had targets for recruiting troops. But he found that these soldiers alone were not enough. After thinking about it, he actually came up with a genius idea - recruiting.

The scope of his recruitment mainly includes: robbers, thieves, water thieves, gangsters, idle members of society, etc. In a word - unstable factors that affect social harmony. There is no limit on academic qualifications, gender, age, and ability.

Just make trouble.

The names of the recruited criminal gang leaders are also very distinctive. For example, Ling Shiyi and Wu Shisan, compared with the poor peasant Zhu Baba and the smuggler Zhang Jiusi, you will know what they are.

.

This model of integrating soldiers and bandits also determines the way his troops fight - fighting and robbing at the same time. This is something that can't be helped. Since they have been engaged in special occupations for a long time, they have already developed good working habits.

It doesn’t matter how you piece it all together, since people have pretty much put it together, let’s just leave it at that.

In addition to military strength, another problem Zhu Chenhao encountered was relationships. If he wanted to successfully rebel, he must have a good relationship network, so he used the then Jiangxi Yamen in Beijing (equivalent to the Jiangxi Provincial Office in Beijing to

) made friends with many ministers, and cultivated many connections. He invited people to eat and drink everywhere, and his reputation was very high.

The ministers of the DPRK and China were aware of his behavior, and some people wrote to the police. But strangely, the then chief minister of the cabinet, Yang Tinghe, ignored him.

The reason is simple: Yang Tinghe accepted Zhu Chenhao's money.

Please don't be surprised. This is recorded in historical data. Mr. Zhu Chenhao spent money to build relationships, and of course he would not let this number one person go. He wanted good food, good housing, and entertainment, but Mr. Yang Tinghe turned a blind eye.

Already.

Of course, Yang Tinghe did not support it, and he did not know that Zhu Chenhao was determined to rebel. He thought that this person just wanted to build relationships. Prices had risen at that time, but wages had not, so Yang Tinghe seemed to think that collecting some black money was nothing.

What's new.

Life was difficult, and wages were not enough. At that time, another important minister and loyal minister, Yang Yiqing, also did things to generate extra income, but he mainly helped people write calligraphy and epitaphs, and charged others' writing fees, which was considered to be paid according to work.

There is a way to make money.

In any case, Zhu Chenhao relied on money to pave the way, opened up a network of relationships, and laid the foundation for the career he was about to start. Judging from the current situation at that time, Zhu Houzhao himself was not willing to be the emperor, and there were treacherous officials and villains such as Qian Ning and Jiang Bin.

Others are also very rampant, and the civil servant group seems to be disappointed with Zhu Houzhao.

Not only did he occupy a favorable location, but he also had people in the court to support him, so he should be very sure of victory.

So he finally made up his mind, determined to break the peaceful environment, and determined to use the lives of countless innocent people and soldiers to realize his ambition. Judging from the subsequent development of things, it is indeed possible for him to succeed, but to achieve this "success", he must also

Add an assumption:

If there was no Wang Shouren.

comeback

After realizing Taoism, Wang Shouren diligently farmed in the mountains for two years. During this period, he developed his own philosophy and became a well-known mountain philosopher. At that time, officials from the Guizhou Education Bureau often invited him to give lectures, and some people

I came all the way from Hunan to attend his class.

But these did not change his environment until Liu Jin's death.

Wang Shouren finally waited for the day when he would make his mark. In the fifth year of Zhengde (1510), he was appointed as the magistrate of Luling County and was about to take up his post.

For three years, these were the most important three years in Wang Shouren's life. Here, he learned the answer to the secret and gained endless strength and wisdom.

He cast his last glance at the place that gave him the most important revelation in his life, then crossed the mountain passes, walked out of the pass, and saw the sun again.

When he rises again, no one in the world can rival him.

Director Wang became County Magistrate Wang, and he could finally work with great fanfare. But just seven months later, he was ordered to report to Nanjing and became the head of the Criminal Department. The chair of the Criminal Department was not hot, so he was transferred again

In Beijing, this time it was the head of the Ministry of Personnel, then the Shaoqing of Taipu Temple in Nanjing, and the Minister of Honglu Temple in Nanjing.

In the eleventh year of Zhengde (1516), he actually became the senior official of the Metropolitan Procuratorate, Zuo Qiandu Yushi, and was ordered to patrol southern Jiangxi.

He has turned around, this time he has completely turned over. In just six years, he has gone from a non-staff member with no rank to a high-ranking member of the third rank. It is really a miracle in the officialdom.

But there are no miracles in the officialdom. He was able to have such a smooth career because there were two people who secretly supported him.

One of these two people is Yang Yiqing, and the other is Wang Qiong, Minister of War.

Yang Yiqing had met Wang Shouren before, and his many years of experience in the arena told him that this man was a rare talent who could take the lead, so he had always paid close attention to this man and deliberately promoted him.

The other Wang Qiong is even more interesting. This person has a bad reputation and is good at flattering and building relationships. He has a good relationship with Qian Ning and Jiang Bin (Qian Ning and Jiang Bin are mortal enemies), and is often looked down upon by gentlemen.

However, he is an out-and-out good man and a capable man.

Bad people flatter people in order to do bad things, and good people flatter people in order to do practical things. So for Wang Qiong, flattery is just a technical means and has nothing to do with character issues.

Wang Qiong took charge of the Ministry of War and used the power in his hands to promulgate many policies that were beneficial to the country and abolished many unreasonable systems. Every time he made suggestions, he was always approved.

Because the stewards Qian Ning and Jiang Bin were both his buddies, the brothers' memorials were naturally signed and sealed immediately.

When he saw Wang Shouren for the first time, he expressed his feelings in one sentence:

"If we use this person, we can ensure peace in the world!"

He made full use of his power and promoted Wang Shouren in an unprecedented and continuous manner, ignoring other people's ridicule and speculation, because he knew that what he did was right.

In the first month of the twelfth year of Zhengde (1517), Wang Shouren officially arrived in Jiangxi and began to perform his duties as governor. But when he arrived here, he discovered that the situation was very different from what he had imagined.

It turned out that when Wang Qiong appointed him, he privately said that he would arrange for grassroots training and just go around. However, when Wang Shouren went to the local area, he discovered that his area was rich in a specialty product - bandits.

Wang Shouren finally woke up, and before leaving, Wang Qiong's cunning face and strange smile immediately appeared in front of his eyes.

Lord Shangshu, you are really not interesting enough.

But the philosopher Wang Shouren is not afraid of difficulties. He was not afraid of poverty alleviation when he was farming in Guizhou. Why is he afraid of fighting bandits?

But slowly he realized that these bandits were by no means that simple.

Not only do they have a large number of people, but they also fight bravely and are well-informed. What is even more frightening is that behind them, there seems to be a powerful force secretly supporting them.

Wang Shouren saw this. He did not rush to send troops. Instead, he carefully studied the past cases of suppressing bandits, and finally discovered a very strange coincidence: that is, every time the officers and soldiers attacked, they either missed the air or were ambushed. They were rarely able to start a battle.

.

How could the bandits know the actions of the officers and soldiers? There is only one answer - undercover agents. There are undercover agents of the bandits in the government.

Wang Shouren decided to deal with these people.

Soon after, he suddenly issued an order, stating that he would concentrate his forces to exterminate the bandits in the near future, and that he would conduct a sudden operation and that all military camps should be prepared.

However, everyone waited uneasily for a long time, but did not receive the order to start the war. At the same time, some colleagues around them suddenly disappeared and were later released, and everyone looked panicked and refused to speak no matter how much they asked.

This was Wang Shouren's trick. He first released the news, and then sent people to keep an eye on the officials at all levels in the yamen. If they found those who went to report the news, they would note it down, and they would all be arrested secretly when they came back. But the most brilliant thing about him is that he is the only one of these people.

also

Instead of killing them, they first provide patriotic education, then ask them about their home address and family members, and talk a few threatening words such as "I hope your mother and children will take care of themselves, and we will visit them often."

Using both hard and soft tactics, these people obediently agreed to be undercover agents for the government and became double agents. At this time, the bandits were caught blindly, and many of their leaders were killed.

However, Governor Wang was still unsatisfied. He was determined to play out this "Jiangxi Bandit Suppression" to the end, and came up with a unique trick - the Ten Family Cards.

The so-called "Ten Family Pai Technique", in layman's terms, means that the ten families form a unit and take turns patrolling every day. If something happens, everyone will be killed together. This trick is so cruel that it makes the local bandits spend the New Year.

He didn't dare to go home, so he could only hide in the mountains while chewing tree bark and scolding Wang Shouren.

Bandits also have dignity. They can't stand it anymore. If they are too soft, they will be tough! Instead of being played to death by Mr. Wang, it is better to get up and fight.

It's a pity that Mr. Wang is really a soft-spoken person.

The poor bandits would not know that Mr. Wang Shouren is usually called the "Four Families" by later generations: a great philosopher, a military strategist, a statesman, and a writer. He is well-deserved of these four titles.

The so-called military genius is a person who can fight with a pirated copy of "Sun Tzu's Art of War" without going to military school. Wang Shouren belongs to this type. Not only can he fight, but he also has tricks.

His method of using troops can be described in two words - weird.

Other people's wars are nothing more than retreating when the enemy advances, chasing when the enemy retreats, fighting when there are many soldiers, and running away when there are few. But Wang Zhizhi is very different. He never confronts the enemy head-on. He always attacks in the east and attacks in the west. If you go south, he will

Leaning towards the north often confuses the enemy.

It’s just that he doesn’t play his cards according to common sense. What’s interesting is that this man also has an unconventional habit. Even if his troops are small, he dares to go to war. If there are not enough soldiers, he will play tricks. Digging holes and laying ambushes is commonplace.

What's even more strange is that even if he has an absolute advantage and surrounds his opponents like an iron barrel, he will never launch an attack easily. If time permits, he will always starve them to death, lure the opponent to break out, and sneak into the ambush circle.

Only then did the general offensive begin.

Basically, if you use these tricks all the way, the gods will be beaten to death by him.

To be fair, in daily life, Governor Wang is indeed an upright and honest man, but on the battlefield, he will immediately become more treacherous than the most treacherous businessman, and worse than the most evil bully.

The bandits in Jiangxi will soon face this Lord Wang. They are really a bunch of miserable people.

The bandits quickly formed an alliance and gathered their forces to fight Master Wang. Wang Shouren's men were a little worried and advised him to make preparations early, but Wang Shouren was indifferent:

"We'll pack it up together when we get here, so I don't have to go look for them. What can we prepare?"

The bandits also heard this sentence. Although they felt that their personal dignity was not recognized and were angry, it also showed that Wang Shouren despised them and would not take action for the time being. For them, this was a good preparation.

opportunity.

In fact, bandit friends should remember one truth. During the war, what Mr. Wang Shouren said must be understood in reverse, otherwise you will have to help count the money after being sold by him.

Just when they were hiding in the mountains to recuperate, Wang Shouren suddenly mobilized the main force of the army to launch a massive attack. The bandits were caught off guard and were blocked in the mountainous area of southern Jiangxi. They were all made dumplings.

After Wang Shouren surrounded them, he suddenly stopped moving and ignored them, as if he hadn't done it. The bandits were in a hurry and they didn't have enough food to eat. Is it better to beat or arrest you to show your attitude?

With no other choice, the bandits who were cornered were ready to break out.

But as soon as they charged into the encirclement, a large number of people suddenly appeared on the back road, and their retreat was immediately cut off. They once again fell into the trap that Wang Shouren had set up for a long time, and were quickly defeated. Most of them surrendered, while a small number fled.

After this battle, Wang Shouren really became famous. Those who escaped back spread the word that Governor Wang had eight heads and nine arms and was so powerful that he was boundless. So when the remaining bandits gathered together, this was the King of Hell.

I can't afford to offend him, so why don't I just give in and temporarily recruit him? You, Lao Wang, are going to leave anyway, so it won't be too late to cause trouble by then.

In this way, the bandit leaders came to the governor's office hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder, expressing their willingness to obey the government and become good citizens.

In fact, this trick is not bad, but when it comes to Mr. Wang, it is really impossible to pass.

Because Mr. Wang has a good habit of checking files. Before suppressing the bandits, he had already known the background of these people, and he knew their true intentions.

The bandits were very happy when they saw Master Wang treating them politely, thinking that they had been fooled. However, within two days, Master Wang suddenly attacked and killed several of them, and these few people had been recruited by the imperial court.

Wang Shouren is not interested in this kind of old ruffian. (If this article were promoted and used, Zhang Xianzhong would have been dead long ago.)

Kill the chicken and show it to the monkey. After this trick is used, no one dares to move, so the fake surrender turns into real surrender.

In this way, the Jiangxi bandits who had been annoying the court for more than ten years and had been repeatedly provoked and fought against were completely wiped out. Mr. Wang Shouren spent several months beating, pulling, and deceiving, and finally solved the problem.

The record of the suppression of bandits in Jiangxi was not very eye-catching in the history of the Ming Dynasty, but for Wang Shouren, it had extraordinary significance.

You must know that all those who engage in philosophy in history generally meet two conditions. First, they must have excess IQ, and mentally retarded idiots are not allowed to enter (except for those who are as intelligent as fools). Second, they must be full and have nothing to do (cannot even eat.

Why engage in philosophy when you are full).

The reason why philosophy has such a high threshold is that it is the basis of all sciences in the world. If you are good enough, you can theoretically master any subject. For example, Mr. Qian Xuesen once said repeatedly that the reason why he was able to develop missile satellites was constantly

The scientific research results are the result of his long years of studying Marxism-Leninism.

I dare not say anything about others, but at least Mr. Wang Shouren meets these two conditions. He has become a philosopher, and these gangs of southern Gansu bandits just provided him with another opportunity-the opportunity to break through.

Because as time went by, Wang Shouren finally discovered that just understanding philosophy was not enough. Talking about "Xin Xue" all day long had no effect. "Xin Xue" could not drive away the bandits. He vaguely felt that in order to integrate theory with practice

, to successfully establish a career, you also need another mysterious tool.

After experiencing the desolation of the poor mountains, the loneliness of no one, and the joy of enlightenment, Wang Shouren once again came to the pass. During the two years in Jiangxi, because there were bandits everywhere, he could only travel everywhere to suppress bandits full-time and had no time.

Go study his philosophy.

God was not unkind to Wang Shouren. It was during these two years of fierce fighting that Wang Shouren gradually found this tool and mastered it skillfully.

With this tool, he can surpass many predecessors and become a sage of Neo-Confucianism.

With this tool, he can achieve brilliant martial arts and be admired by future generations.

With this tool, his philosophy was convinced by thousands of people, spread overseas, and became immortal throughout the ages.

Later generations of famous ministers Xu Jie and Zhang Juzheng also used this tool to achieve immortal feats and remain famous throughout the ages.

The name of this tool is "Unity of Knowledge and Action".

The relationship between knowledge and action is a fundamental issue in the history of Chinese philosophy. This problem started from the various schools of thought and ended with Sun Yat-sen. It lasted for thousands of years, with countless scoldings and quarrels, but it could never be resolved.

I can't solve it either, but I can explain it.

In fact, to put it bluntly, this question is a question of theory and practice. Some people think that it is easier to know than to do. It is easy to understand the theory but difficult to practice. Some people think that it is easy to know and easy to understand. It is difficult to understand the truth but easy to practice.

For example, Zhu Shengren (Zhu Xi) advocated that knowing is difficult and doing is easy, which is easy to understand. According to his formula, it is difficult to understand the Tao, but it seems to be very easy to implement.

It may be hard for everyone to imagine, but this thing has been worked on for thousands of years and has never stopped until today.

At this moment Wang Shouren stood up and shouted loudly:

It’s important to understand the principles, but it’s also important to apply them in practice!

The real meaning of this sentence is: In order to achieve lofty and great ambitions, we must have practical and down-to-earth methods.

This is not just a sentence, but a profound wisdom in dealing with things and life, which can be used for life, so it seems easy to understand, but in fact it is very difficult to understand.

More than twenty years later, two people read his book one after another, but they both saw the phrase "the unity of knowledge and action". One person understood it, but the other did not.

The person who understood it was called Zhang Juzheng, and the person who didn't understand it was called Hai Rui.

Four hundred years later, a young man saw this sentence and was so impressed that he took it as his lifelong code of conduct and changed his name accordingly - Tao Xingzhi.

ominous omen

Wang Shouren, who understood the "unity of knowledge and action", no longer talked about theory and philosophy, because the cruel reality made him understand that preaching and the Four Books and Five Classics alone could not solve the problem. The best way to make the bandits put down their swords was to use

Musket.

With this concept in mind, Wang Shouren is about to face the most difficult test in his life.

He has always been very puzzled about these bandits. Without looking at or beating them, how could such a group of trash dare to engage in large-scale operations so arrogantly? When interrogating the bandits, he finally found the answer to this question——

Ning Wang Zhu Chenhao.

There is no doubt that Zhu Chenhao's shadow is more or less behind these bandits. As a vassal king, he went to mingle with the bandits. It cannot be understood as reaching out to the masses.

The magistrate seeks to gain connections because he wants to be promoted to the magistrate, the minister builds connections because he wants to be a minister, the feudal king builds connections because he wants to...

So Wang Shouren quickly found the answer, the only possible answer.

When the problem became serious, he immediately ran to find Sun Sui.

Sun Sui was the governor of Jiangxi at the time and a native of Yuyao, Zhejiang. He was not only a fellow villager of Wang Shouren, but also his best friend who was an official in the same dynasty.

At that time, Wang Shouren was only the governor of southern Jiangxi (Southern Gansu), and his main task was to suppress bandits. For such a big matter, he could not decide on the leader, so he could only turn to Sun Sui.

However, when he ran to the governor's office and found Sun Sui breathlessly finishing the story, he only got a strange reaction.

Sun Sui listened to him with a wry smile.

After he finished speaking, he sighed and said only one sentence:

"Brother, you only know now?"

Now it was Wang Shouren's turn to be dumbfounded.

In October of the tenth year of Zhengde (1515), Sun Sui, the chief envoy of Henan, received an order. The central government decided to promote him to the right deputy censor of the Metropolitan Procuratorate. This was originally a good thing, but Sun Sui was not happy.

Because there is another appointment later - to send Jiangxi governor.

Jiangxi was a place of death for the officials of the DPRK and China at that time.

Just a few years ago, Wang Zhe, the governor of Jiangxi Province, took office gloriously. But not long after, he died suddenly and mysteriously. The court sent Dong Jie to take his place. Only eight months later, Dong Jie's brother also died. His death was unknown.

Not for nothing, the two subsequent governors took the initiative to pack up their belongings and come back before they had served for even one year. They would rather not be officials than live there.

The senior officials of the imperial court were all aware of the mystery, but kept silent.

Naturally, you can't say anything after accepting other people's money.

But Jiangxi had to go without anyone, and I don’t know which friend had a grudge against Sun Sui and actually recommended him. Sun Sui was pushed to the edge of the cliff.

However, Sun Sui replied: "I'll go!"

He called his wife and explained his funeral affairs to him. His wife was so frightened that she asked him what was going on. Sun Sui just sighed and said:

"I'm going to die there this time."

"If that's the case, then why don't we not accept this position? Why don't we just go?"

"When the country is in trouble, you should step forward and die to serve the country. How can you refuse!" Sun Suiyi replied sternly.

He dismissed all his servants, settled his family, said goodbye to his wife, took his two book boys, and set out on the road of no return.

After arriving in Jiangxi, he was unexpectedly warmly welcomed by Prince Ning. Not only did he send money and gifts, he also visited him frequently, which was extremely warm.

But Sun Sui refused. He returned the gifts and refused to visit. This was because he understood very well that if he took other people's things, he would have to do things for them. And what King Ning wanted to do was called rebellion. If he collects things now, he will do things for them in the future.

You have to pay for it with your head.

However, soon after, he discovered that people around him were watching him. No matter what he did, Prince Ning would always know in advance, and sometimes would deliberately reveal what he had said in some secret occasions. Even his residence.

There are also suspicious people coming and going from time to time.

Faced with all this, Sun Sui did not give in, he still stayed here without fear.

Because it is his duty to stay here.

Seeing such a stubborn guy, King Ning had a headache. He had no choice but to resort to a secret trick. He sent someone to deliver four things to Sun Sui - dates, pears, ginger, and mustard.

Sun Sui smiled when he saw these things. He understood what King Ning meant - to leave the border as soon as possible.

What happened next was beyond King Ning's expectation. Sun Sui ate these special "gifts" very generously, but did not move at all.

In such a dangerous environment, Sun Sui persisted alone for four years, and now he finally had a comrade-Wang Shouren.

But when these two people were put together, they realized that they had no chance of winning. Although they were both governors, they were empty-handed. Wang Shouren did not have any soldiers, because the Ming Dynasty stipulated that governors had no military power and needed to be approved by the central government.

Use it. Mr. Wang usually only has a few militia groups under his command. They can catch pickpockets and maintain law and order. Where can they go to fight?

After a lot of hard work, they finally found an organization, but there was nothing the organization could do, and the two fellow villagers fell into silent hesitation.

While Sun Sui and Wang Shouren were at a loss, Prince Ning was working hard.

tragedy of genius

Judging from the actions of Prince Ning Zhu Chenhao, he always followed this motto in life: To conspire against a great cause, talents are the basis.

From the analysis of historical data, although this man was ambitious, his IQ was not very high and he could not solve many things. In order to make up for his weaknesses, he put up a high-paying recruitment sign and widely recruited talents in the society.

Therefore, many people came to visit, but after the interview, Zhu Chenhao found that most of them were just eating and drinking, and there were almost no talented people. There was only one named Liu Yangzheng who could barely make do, so he made a decision and appointed him as the general assistant for the rebellion.

Later, there was another man named Li Shishi, who had previously served as a minister, but later resigned and returned home. Zhu Chenhao felt that he was not bad, so he recruited him back together and arranged for him to find another job.

But these two people could not satisfy Zhu Chenhao. He was very puzzled, where have all the talents gone?

Let me answer this question: They all went to take exams to become officials.

Comrade Zhu Chenhao was born at the wrong time. You must know that talents, a scarce resource, would only run around to make ends meet during the chaos of Zhu Yuanzhang's reign. In times of peace and prosperity, who would raise their heads to rebel against you?

It is better to study hard and gain fame. This is the real right path.

Let’s look at the two talented people under his command. One is Liu Yangzheng, who was born in a juren family but failed to pass the Jinshi exam. He can say that he is familiar with the art of war and can strategize just because he has read a few military books, but he is of no use except being able to talk.

There was also Li Shishi, who couldn't survive in the court anymore. He went home and ate at Prince Ning's house. It is said that he did nothing except nodding and raising his hands in agreement.

Even these two idiots were actually raised by him as sleeping dragons and phoenix chicks. They can be regarded as having special vision.

In fact, Zhu Chenhao knew that he was short of talents, but he had no choice. Just when he was worried about this, someone told him that he had found a real talent in Suzhou. If this person joins, great achievements will be made.

Zhu Chenhao was overjoyed and prepared to send someone to invite this person personally.

I am ashamed to say that this person has been thrown into the background by us for twenty years. Now it is time to invite him out.

Brother Bohu, come on!

Twenty years ago, Tang Bohu went to Beijing to take the exam and met a tragic end. He was finally released from prison. He wanted to cheer up and go home to live a peaceful life, but when he returned home, he found that everything was beyond his expectation.

.

The villagers who used to greet him with smiles have changed their faces. Instead of showing contempt, his servants no longer respect him. Sometimes they even dare to turn against him and reprimand him loudly. His wife not only does not understand him, but also often speaks harshly to him.

What made him even more miserable was that even Wangcai, who was guarding the door of his house, barked when he saw him and chased him to bite him.

This is no joke. The above description comes from Tang Bohu's letter to a friend. Every word is a cruel fact.

In the face of the cruel facts, Tang Bohu was completely desperate. He no longer believed in the words of sages and no longer studied hard. He had lost the qualifications to be an official. What was the point of studying!

He fell from a thousand-foot high platform and suffered endless discrimination and insult. From then on, he had no dreams or pursuits. He only wanted one thing - the happiness of drunken life and death.

From then on, he began to wander around famous brothels in many places across the country. Because of his outstanding literary talent, he fascinated many prostitutes. Many of them even came to him and were willing to trade with him, which was a miracle.

It was from this moment that the title of the so-called romantic talent began to spread. After all, being suave and enjoying flowers is the dream of many people, but they don't know that behind Tang Bohu's indulgent smile, there is endless sorrow.

Just when Tang Bohu was at the lowest point in his life, Zhu Chenhao came to him and stretched out his hand - pushing him to an even lower point.

After receiving Zhu Chenhao's invitation, Tang Bohu was very happy for a time. Even if he couldn't become an official, it would be good to be a master for the prince. Zhu Chenhao's courtesy to him also made him feel that he had finally found his bright master.

However, he soon discovered that Zhu Chenhao, the leader, was not very authentic. He was always in contact with some unscrupulous bandits and gangsters, and he had hoarded a lot of food, grass, and weapons. He would often look at the national map and sigh, and hold his hands in anger.

Fist shape.

Are you afraid that you are going to rebel?

Although visiting a brothel has a bad reputation, it's just for fun. It's a mind-boggling thing, so you'd better get out of there as soon as possible.

Tang Bohu, who had food to eat and visited brothels, did not have the same revolutionary consciousness and revolutionary needs as Zhu Chongba. He just wanted to make a living.

The question is, can you leave if you want to?

I let you see so many secrets and know the inside story. How can I be willing to let you go without keeping my head?

Faced with a life threat, the forty-nine-year-old Tang Bohu once again had a spark of wisdom. He decided to learn from the experience of his predecessors - pretend to be crazy.

Only by pretending to be crazy can Zhu Chenhao believe that he didn't see anything, even if he did, he wouldn't say anything, and even if he did, no one would believe him.

After all, Tang Bohu is a talented man. He pretends to be crazy and has a good style. He is much better than the shit-eating Yuan Kai back then, because he came up with a unique trick - streaking.

I'm really willing to spend money.

From then on, Brother Bohu abandoned the traditional concept, took off his clothes to the end, walked around naked, smiled silly when he saw the older girl, and often shouted slogans: "I am the distinguished guest of Prince Ning!"

What he did caused the whole city of Nanchang to lose peace. Many people came out to watch the fun. Zhu Chenhao's face was completely lost. He was so angry that he quickly ordered the old man to be sent back to Suzhou quickly so that he would not be embarrassed here.

Tang Bohu, who finally escaped from danger, breathed a sigh of relief, but while celebrating his remaining life, he was completely despairing of life.

His subsequent life can be described in four words - complete depravity.

Drinking and having fun day and night, indulgent in sex, destroyed his body, but also achieved his art. His poetry, calligraphy and painting did not stick to the rules, especially his figure paintings, which were considered unparalleled by anyone in three hundred years.

.

But that was the end of it. Four years later (the second year of Jiajing, 1523), this genius in the history of Chinese culture ended his troubled life and fell into silence forever.

Sometimes, I would also watch TV dramas based on Tang Bohu, watching how he outsmarted treacherous officials and how he married a beautiful woman. Most of these plots were very funny, but no matter what, I couldn't laugh every time.

.

Because what always appears in my mind is the real Tang Bohu, the high-spirited young man, the unappreciated middle-aged man, the frustrated old man, the one struggling in helplessness and despair.

's soul.

Only the peach blossom song still tells his heart, lingering for thousands of years and never dissipating:

Others laugh at me for being crazy,

I laugh and others can’t see through it.

The tombs of the heroes of Wuling were missing.

Hoeing and cultivating the fields without flowers and wine.
