Chapter 2561: Treating small targets by doing nothing

Who has the most people in Sichuan and Shu?

Maybe many people think that Han people are the most numerous, but in fact they are not.

Sichuan and Shu were originally called Bashu, where "Ba" refers to the Ba people, and "Shu" naturally refers to the Shu people.

From ancient times to the pre-Qin period, there were Ba people in the east of the Sichuan Basin and Shu people in the west, and then they were combined into Bashu.

In terms of scope, it can be roughly considered that Chongqing in later generations was Ba, and Chengdu was Shu. Well, so among Sichuan, Chengdu and Chongqing fell in love and killed each other, which actually started in ancient times...

The culture of these two ethnic groups is very different from that of the Central Plains peoples at that time. For example, the Shu people's "Zongmu" worship is the Sanxingdui mask, and the Ba people have tiger-man sacrifices, hanging coffin burials and other customs. These two

The tribes have completely different inheritance and worship. If they continue to develop, it is impossible to form two different cultural countries.

But then, both Shu and Ba were destroyed by Qin, and Shu Commandery and Ba Commandery were established on their original sites.

Therefore, it is not wrong to say that there are many Han people in Sichuan and Shu, but similarly, Sichuan and Shu itself are based on ethnic minorities. Even in the Han Dynasty, there were still many ethnic minorities in the surrounding areas.

"Do you know why I came to Sichuan and Shu instead of Shi Yuan or You Ruo?" Xu Shu slowly said to Zhuge Liang.

During these days, Zhuge Liang had some practice and some ideas. From practice to theory, Zhuge Liang was still young. Even if he had some ideas, he might not have the accumulation that Xu Shu had accumulated over the years.

Zhuge Liang now needs to summarize these transactional feelings into a governing theory...

Therefore, Xu Shu stood up especially at this time, when Zhuge Liang was a little confused and confused about some things, cleared the fog for Zhuge Liang, and pointed out the future direction, which also represented a kind of inheritance of the Lushan Way.

Zhuge Liang thought for a moment and said, "Brother Gai Yin Yuanzhi is more suitable for this?"

Xu Shu smiled and nodded, "Then why is it suitable?"

Zhuge Liang glanced at Xu Shu, his eyes moved slightly, but he said nothing.

Xu Shu laughed and said, "What's not easy to say? I'm a concubine!"

"Brother Yuan Zhi..." Zhuge Liang was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect Xu Shu to be so calm and free.

Xu Shu laughed heartily, then pointed at the bottom of his feet, and then pointed in the direction of Chang'an, "Commons come out, this family, the whole world is like this, it cannot be eliminated by one person's efforts, it is just like people's selfish desires, there should be distinctions between near and far, and between close and distant relatives."

… When Sichuan and Shu were in Chang’an, the common people came out of Sichuan and Shu. However, the surrounding tribes of Sichuan and Shu, in the Jiaozhi area of southern Sichuan, also had the common people from Sichuan and Shu.”

"This..." Zhuge Liang started with some confusion, but didn't know how to continue.

Xu Shu smiled and patted Zhuge Liang on the shoulder, and said: "But there is a certain number of common people in my family? What about the world's famous families? What about the four generations and the three princes? Yuan Benchu, Yuan Gongli was a hero for a while, where do they live now? The great man is like a long time ago.

A sick person who has been suffering from illness for a long time needs to strengthen his roots and cultivate his vitality! The master is in Chang'an to strengthen his foundation, and I will cultivate the vitality around him! This is also true for the common people in this family! This is in line with the movement of heaven and the gentleman's intention of continuous self-improvement.

My lord once said, well, class, class are two wonderful words. All the world has classes, just like ascending to the sky! You, me, everyone in the world are all on this path! If you want to advance, there is no retreat. If you stop and do not go forward, you will either fall or perish.

"Stairs to the sky..." Zhuge Liang repeated slowly.

"Well, let's go to the sky." Xu Shu raised his head and looked at the sky.

The clouds in the sky are rolling and relaxing.

"Who owns this world?" Xu Shu said slowly, "The emperor? Where can the emperor control now? Can the emperor's orders leave the palace? The court? Which court? The one in the east or the west? The nobles

The world? There are so many noble families, who do you listen to? Who listens to whom? Is the lord’s family very big? What about the common people? The common people only focus on the soles of their feet, how can they take a broad view of the world?"

"The Great Theory of Qinglong Temple is to clarify this problem, and you and I are to actually solve this problem and make it smooth..." Xu Shu said, as if there was an invisible burden on his shoulders, heavy,

But he also said calmly, "Sichuan and Shu are just such a piece of land. According to the Lord's words, it is called the experimental field. How the crops in this field are will be like in the future."

"When you go out from Sichuan and Shu, there are four directions, no matter which direction is difficult. When a big man goes out, among the four directions, which one is the easiest?"

"The Han people live in Sichuan and Sichuan, and all kinds of mountain barbarians live outside. The Chinese people of Han Dynasty live in the Central Plains, and all kinds of barbarians are spread everywhere..."

"There are nobles in Sichuan and Sichuan, there are tribes, there are local right-wingers, there are all kinds of tribal lords and commanders, but where are the big men?"

"If you can conquer Sichuan and Shu, then you can naturally conquer the world!"

"If you can't do well in Sichuan and Shu, you won't be able to do well when you get to the next level up!"

Xu Shu pointed at himself and then at Zhuge Liang, "In Guanzhong, there are Shi Yuan and You Ruo. What do they represent? And then, what do we represent? Stand taller and look farther!"

As for Zhuge Liang's evaluation, perhaps Liu Bei believes that Zhuge is a heavenly being, while Fei Qian believes that Brother Zhu is still short of time. This is not to say that Fei Qian is any better than Liu Bei, but that Fei Qian's position is better than that of Liu Bei at the time.

Be higher.

The position is different, the standpoint is different, and the things you see are naturally different.

Just like Fei Qian recruited Zhuge Liang, he didn't even need to look at the thatched cottage, and he didn't need Zhuge Liang to do anything.

Is there such a thing as three visits to the thatched cottage in history? There is a high probability. After all, if Liu Bei didn't show sincerity at that time, well, of course Liu Bei would only have sincerity at that time. As for whether it was three visits or five visits, in fact, the numerical value is not

It's so important. During this process, Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang must have had some secret talks.

This determines whether Liu Bei likes Zhuge Liang, and it also determines whether Zhuge Liang is determined to follow Liu Bei. Outsiders definitely don't know what they talked about specifically, but the two definitely didn't talk about the weather, they definitely also talked about the situation in the world, etc.

Zhuge Liang should have given Liu Bei a lot of advice at that time, otherwise Liu Bei would not have liked Zhuge Liang. Of course, Zhuge Liang had extremely close ties with the upper class of Jingzhou and the Jingzhou nobles, which was one of the important reasons why Liu Bei liked Zhuge Liang, or perhaps none of them.

.

But is Longzhong right...

Basically, it is just a lie, mostly far-fetched by later generations.

At that time in history, Cao Cao had pacified the north, was preparing to pacify Jingxiang, and then pacified Jiangdong to unify the world. Sun Quan on the other side was also planning to seize Jingxiang, and then seize Xichuan, forming a north-south situation with Cao, and then seize the world.

At that time, Jingxiang was already the must-eat meat for Cao Sun and the two tigers. For Liu Biao, he was already old. Not only was self-preservation a problem, but even the Jingxiang nobles were in panic and didn't know where they were going.

Liu Bei was too weak at the time. As a guest army to help Liu Biao defend the new territory, he neither had the military strength nor appeal to seize Jingxiang, nor could he fight against Cao Cao's army. As for the so-called imperial uncle's title, it was really a joke. So Longzhong was right

At first, it was said that Liu Bei captured Jingzhou with ease, but then Cao Cao chased him from beginning to end like a dog chasing a chicken. Where did the easy and freehand phrase "I am so gifted to the general, how could the general care" come from?

Thirdly, in the battle between Longzhong and Zhongzhong, splitting the troops into two places thousands of miles away is a big failure in itself. Everyone knows that normally hitting someone with a fist will be more painful and powerful than poking someone with your fingers. However, the innate information transmission in the Han Dynasty

The problem of speed determines that it is impossible for Sichuan, Shu and Jingzhou to act simultaneously and can only fight independently. The final result will inevitably be that Jingzhou, which does not have a stable rear, will be defeated first.

Finally, Zhuge Liang did not have much military talent in history. The burning once and twice, etc., actually had nothing to do with Zhuge Liang. It was Liu Bei who did it, and when Cao Cao's army really cheered up, they overcame it in a dignified manner.

At that time, no strategy could be used and the only option was to run away. Therefore, could Zhuge Liang, who had little military talent, come up with a grand and practical strategy?

Therefore, since Zhuge Liang was not born a god, Fei Qian naturally asked Zhuge Liang to come to Sichuan to allow Zhuge Liang to develop and practice, just like making steel.

Sichuan and Shu are like ovens that can turn Zhuge Liang from iron into steel.

Sichuan and Shu are a very rich area, with both the mutual restraints of noble families and the collision of Chinese culture and local barbarians. Large-scale wars are rare, but small-scale battles are unavoidable, which is just right for Zhuge Liang to practice his skills.

, and before actually going out to practice, it is undoubtedly very necessary for Xu Shu to explain the truth from the bottom of his heart.

This determines whether Zhuge Liang will grow crooked...

After all, although the Pig Brother in history cannot be said to be crooked, he definitely did not look perfect.

Xu Shu looked at Zhuge Liang and said, "There is one thing that I have been hesitant about. I don't know how to tell you..."

"Brother Yuanzhi, please speak." Zhuge Liang said, cupping his hands.

"People can have selfish desires, but in military and political affairs, they can only serve the public good..." Xu Shu waved his hands and said, "Don't think this is an empty talk. When the Lord warned me, he asked me if I had insulted my officials in the past.

It’s very useful. Do you want to use it or not?”

When Xu Shu fled, he was caught by an official. The official tied Xu Shu at the door of the market, took off his clothes and exposed his body for people in the market to identify...

"As far as I am concerned, a minor official humiliating me is not a big mistake in terms of law..." Xu Shu looked at Zhuge Liang and said, "So it is easy for me to let go of this humiliation... But Kong Ming, you... I will ask

You, if a descendant of the Cao family is going to serve under you, will you use it or not? I mean, really use it, not just talk..."

"This..." Zhuge Liang pondered and was speechless for a long time.

This is Zhuge Liang’s inner demon.

"Actually, you and I both know very well that the culprit of the tragedy in Xuzhou was Cao Mengde, but it was not Cao Mengde," Xu Shu said slowly, "If the lord takes Shandong in the future, how are you going to deal with it?"

Hearing what Xu Shu said, Zhuge Liang was stunned and said subconsciously: "As long as the evidence is conclusive and submitted to the court, why can't Langya be returned? A Duke of Xuzhou..."

However, midway through his words, Zhuge suddenly stopped, and a bit of bitterness and self-deprecation flashed across his face.

Xu Shu patted Zhuge and said, "It doesn't matter, I thought the same way back then... When the junior official insulted me, I also thought more than once about what I would do to the junior official at that time..."

Zhuge Liang sighed, realizing the childishness of what he just said, and said with a wry smile: "It made Yuan Zhi laugh."

Although it was said out loud without any thought, it was indeed a bit childish.

Justice lies in the human heart.

This "person" refers to which part of the "person"?

In this world, there are many rules, many laws, which seem fair, but in fact, in different classes, the rules are different. The rules at the bottom are the rules of the bottom, and every class above is the rules of the next class.

It is possible that something that works well at the next level may not work at all at the upper level.

The officialdom is the officialdom, and the people are the people.

The rules of the officialdom and the rules of the people are naturally completely different.

In the civil society, most of the trials of cases focus on evidence. The plaintiff and defendant have equal status. If the evidence is conclusive, then the defendant will naturally be convicted. However, in the officialdom, the status of the plaintiff and the defendant is different from the beginning.

In inequality, what matters is not the evidence, but the authority of both parties.

Sentencing in real official circles is often not public.

Therefore, for those who were deprived of their status as marquises or even had their entire families executed because they wore the wrong clothes or sat in the wrong posture, were they unjust or not?

Similarly, the soldiers, the local tyrants, and the common people who lost their homes and lives in the war because they were born in Langya, because Tao Qian and Cao Cao fought for hegemony, are they unjust or not?

Are these judgment standards always the same?

Even among officials and common people, even in later generations who are civilized to a certain extent, the gap between classes leads to conflicts in punishments, which still exist for a long time.

This class is not limited to the officialdom.

For example, a big V with a large number of fans can use his mouthpiece to bully, insult or even frame an ordinary person who is unable to resist online, causing him to become depressed and commit suicide. He does not have to bear any responsibility. At most, he can post a painless message afterwards.

Apologize without itching and that's it.

Another example is that a platform with a large amount of traffic can use its own capital to use coercion, coercion or even expropriation to obtain the copyrights and ideas of ordinary people. It also does not have to bear any responsibility. At most, it can pay some insignificant fines and then do it.

Some equally painless cover-ups passed.

All these things are nothing better than this.

With more authority, you will have more say and influence. This authority can be traffic, capital, rights, etc. And with voice and influence, you can go deeper

Interfere with the trial process.

What if there is physical evidence? What if there are witnesses?

If the defendant has assets and authority, it will be easy for the lawsuit to drag on for ten or hundreds of years.

They even insist that it is a false accusation or blackmail, and even beat people up and refuse to protect them. What can the people do?

What if there is no physical evidence? What if there is no evidence?

If the person making the complaint had a higher authority, wouldn't there be a kind of "unfounded" crime in this world?

When Confucius was the chief military officer in the State of Lu, he immediately humiliated and killed Shao Zhengmao just seven days after he became a judge because he disliked him. Is there any legal basis for this? No.

According to historical records, Kong Zhongni "administered the government for seven days, and punished Shaozhengmao, the official who was rebellious. He killed him under the eyes of two people, and his body was left in the court for three days."

Later, Zigong asked Confucius why he took advantage of his authority to kill people. Confucius said that I didn't like him, let alone killing a villain. Can it be considered killing? As for whether there is a specific crime, that is not important. What is important is that it represents justice.

punish!

Confucius never admitted that he killed innocent people indiscriminately, thinking that this was "the execution of a gentleman." The implication was that Confucius himself was a gentleman, and Shaozhengmao was a villain. How can it be considered indiscriminate for a gentleman to kill a villain?

What about killing innocent people?

So who sets the standards for judging gentlemen and villains?

It's Confucius himself.

This truth, although cruel and perhaps unacceptable, is a fact!

As both a player and a referee, is he more than just Confucius?

Zhuge Liang himself in history was also both a player and a referee.

Zhuge Liang's seven questions about talents are also very clear, but why did he miss Ma Su? Why did he choose Ma Su, who had no experience, as the commander, and let the experienced Wang Ping serve as deputy? Isn't it because Wang Ping is

Reduced to general? Just like Confucius, he felt that Shaozhengmao had bad intentions and did not look like a good person...

Seeing that Zhuge Liang's expression was slightly bitter and silent, Xu Shu also sighed slightly.

Xu Shu said: "I just said that if you understand the true meaning of a strong country and a prosperous people, you have understood half of it, and the other half is about this matter..."

Zhuge Liang fell silent.

Xu Shu glanced at Zhuge Liang, "This... is not a mistake... I have said before that people have their own desires. I have my own desires, you have your own desires, and everyone in the world also has your own desires..."

"Wanting to have a glorious family name, wanting to have good food and clothing, wanting beautiful women and money, wanting the respect of others, wanting to take revenge on those who insulted me, etc., are all my desires... However, governing a country must not be based on selfish desires.

Abolish official business..." Xu Shu said slowly, "The words "private" and "public" do not refer to one person, nor do they refer to just one place... In other words, for individuals and families, the family is bigger.

A family is a public family, and for a family and a clan, the clan is larger and the clan is a public family. There are townships and counties above the clan, and prefectures and states above the townships and counties..."

"And these desires will not be reduced by half because of knowing the truth, nor will they disappear for a moment because of the understanding of the law..." Xu Shu sighed, "Are my desires because I read too few books? Or am I?

Do you know enough laws? Not at all... So people without desires do not exist. The only way is to control... or, in other words, regulate... To rule by doing nothing is the best..."

"Until now, among all the people I have met, the only one I admire is my lord..." Xu Shu clasped his hands behind his back and looked at the sky and said, "If my lord wants to shine on the family lintel, I'm afraid those who come to join him can be arranged from time to time."

When he goes to Luoyang, if he wants rich clothes and fine food, all the cooks in the world will collect all kinds of rare and precious ingredients for him. If he wants beautiful women and money... haha... But the lord doesn't have it, and he even slows down on purpose...

"In the past, how many of those high-ranking guys who lived in Sanhuai Hall really cared about the whole world? They just wanted the whole world to satisfy their selfish desires... From this point of view, they are far from the master.

Thousands of miles?』

"In the North, in Longxi, and in Youbei, we have experienced so many and so long wars. Ten houses are empty, and there are broken eaves and broken walls everywhere. The rivers are full of dead souls. You can dig them up just by digging in the ground.

To the bones..."

"But how can those ambitious guys care about the world? These ambitious people only think about conquests, continuous conquests, and encouraging the lord to go on conquests, no matter how much damage the conquests will cause!"

"It is easy to indulge one's desires, but difficult to control them. A lot of people have been advocating to regain Shandong all day long, sending troops to Xu County, shouting and asking the lord to take another step forward? Those guys really think about the lord.

, or is it just because the lord has advanced, that they have the merit of following the dragon?" Xu Shu slowly said to Zhuge Liang, "If you put down one person's selfish desires and think about a family, the family will be good. Put down the selfish desires of a family and think about the whole family.

Only by thinking can you be the leader of a clan, and so on... The lord can control his own desires, and the pearls and jade are in front of him. How can we, as ministers, stop moving forward and not follow? This is what we, Lushan Huang Lao,

He has the broadmindedness and courage he deserves..."

Xu Shu raised his hand and pointed to the horizon, as if he was saying to himself, and also as if he was warning Zhuge Liang, "Only by letting go can we travel far. Before my lord, the world was Guanzhong and Shandong, but now, my lord, the world is already all over China."

Now, going forward... this world... My lord once said that wherever my heart goes, it is the territory of the Han Dynasty! I really hope that one day, I will plant the flag of the Han Dynasty in the sky!"

"And on that day, I hope that you, Kong Ming, are still with us, instead of falling halfway down the road..."
