Chapter 284 Night Attack

As night falls, the world becomes quiet.

Zheng Ke ding ding ding dong dong cut down wood all afternoon, and finally he was almost ready. However, it was getting late, so he could only wait for dawn before attacking the city.

After setting up camp, logging, and making siege equipment, Zheng Ke's soldiers, even the hardened soldiers, were a little exhausted. After eating the preserved meat, the soldiers who were not on guard duty got into the tent and shouted.

Wake up and fall asleep.

It was quiet for a week, except for the chirping of insects in the grass on the mountainside.

The soldier standing in the sentry tower above the camp yawned loudly, squeezed out some tears, rubbed his face, and forced his eyelids open, but they drooped again soon after.

There is no way, the normal reaction of the human body can sometimes be controlled even if you don't want to control it - I am really too sleepy. I originally thought I could rest in the customs, but not only did I not set up camp, but I also cut down trees and made weapons.

After an afternoon of hard work...

Suddenly, Han Gu closed the war drum and it was like a dense thunder, exploding in the mountains and fields, so frightened that the sentry almost fell down!

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" the sentry shouted and sounded the alarm gong.

The drums were rumbling, and the sentries were shouting at the top of their lungs. Many soldiers rushed out of the tent in panic. Some only had armor, some only had weapons, and some were holding torches with their eyes covered with goo.

His eyes looked around in panic.

Zheng Ke rushed out of the tent in plain clothes. When he saw Hangu turning off the torch and waving it around, and heard the rumbling of war drums, he couldn't help shouting: "Be careful of enemy attacks!"

Unfortunately, the voice was too low and was covered up by the drums. Zheng Kuai stretched his neck and shouted at the highest volume: "Be careful of the enemy..."

Just when Zheng Ke shouted the third word, Hangu closed the door and the drum sound suddenly stopped, and the torches were extinguished at the same time, as if this had never happened.

Zheng Kuai yelled out the last word out of habit: "...attack...cough..." Then he found that everyone around him turned back to look at him. Even though he had been in officialdom for many years, his face suddenly turned red.

It's dark now, so I can't be noticed by others.

Everyone waited quietly for a while, but what they saw in front of them was still darkness and nothing. Then they realized that the person who had been locked up by Hangu was playing a trick, and they couldn't help but cursed and got back into the tent to continue sleeping.

Zheng Ke stood there with his head tilted and thought about it for a while. He always felt that something was wrong, but for a while he couldn't explain it, so he frowned and went back to the tent.

Less than half an hour later, at Hangu Pass, the drums were beating loudly again, and the fire was flashing wildly!

There was another commotion in Zheng Ke's camp. The soldiers yelled and cursed, picked up their weapons, put on their armor, and rushed out of the tent...

But not long after, the drumming stopped again.

Zheng Ke suddenly realized, snorted disdainfully, and said loudly: "This is a tactic for tiring the army! Send my military order, divide it into two groups, and take turns to rest!"

According to Zheng Kuai's instructions, half of the soldiers were on duty, while the other half happily ran back to the tent, plugged their ears, covered their heads and fell asleep, hoping to get enough sleep before it was their turn to be on duty...

A new round of drumming started at Hangu Pass. Several soldiers leaning together, using their spears as crutches, leaned against each other crookedly, yawning listlessly amidst the drumming.

"How many times has this been done?"

"What a bastard, who knows, I just thought I could go back and sleep before dawn..." the soldier said as he raised his head and let out a huge yawn, tears coming out of his eyes.

Several soldiers around him were also affected by him and yawned one after another, "That's right, we are about to attack the city again at dawn, and this bitch is farting without rest!"

A few soldiers complained heartlessly, not even noticing that a group of men had quietly sneaked into the camp.

Zhang Liao and Huang Cheng walked in front, counting silently, and then almost at the same time they grabbed the war horse, pushed it to the ground, reached out to cover the horse's mouth, and stroked the horse with the other hand to comfort everyone.

He signaled to the back, and the soldiers behind him quickly followed suit, and all of a sudden they all dwarfed.

The war horses felt the kindness of their owners. Although they had to lie down for a while to walk for a while, the horses were not very used to it. However, after being touched, their mouths were covered, so they could only spray a few breaths to show their dissatisfaction.

"General, is it almost done?" Huang Cheng asked Zhang Liao in a low voice.

Zhang Liao looked at the distance to the camp, hummed softly, and said: "The last drumming..."

If it weren't for Fei Qian's suggestion, Zhang Liozhen didn't expect that he would have so many bird-blind men. Of the two hundred Bingzhou cavalry, less than half could see at night. Plus Huang Cheng and the others, they could barely see.

I made up a hundred.

But because of this, Zhang Liao was also very confident. His troops were blind. Could it be that everyone in Zheng Ke's camp opposite could see at night?

Zhang Liao estimated the time, then called a few soldiers, and asked them to quietly go to the front, remove the antlers set up outside the camp, and clear a path for the cavalry to charge.

The soldiers sent to remove the antlers came back and reported to Zhang Liao in a low voice, telling Zhang Liao that the few antlers that were close to the camp under the firelight were not touched for fear of being discovered by the sentry, and the rest had been removed...

Zhang Liao nodded, looked back at the Hangu Gate, saw the fire flashing several times, and ordered in a low voice: "Everyone, get ready!"

Everyone, including Huang Cheng, pulled up the horses one after another, got on their horses, and stood ready, waiting for the sound of the drums.

The rumbling war drums sounded again, Zhang Liao pointed his spear, gave a low shout, and rushed out first!

The sound of war drums covered up the sound of horse hooves. When Zhang Liao and his troops appeared in the camp under the light of torches and began to use their spears to spread the last bit of antlers, the sentry on the watchtower suddenly realized that there were actually soldiers attacking the camp!

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" the sentry shouted wildly down below, banging the gong.

"I know..." The soldiers in the camp held their spears crookedly and responded lazily, "The enemy attacked again, several times..." Halfway through the words, he suddenly felt an unusual vibration on the ground and was stunned.

After a moment, he suddenly realized, this is the fucking cavalry coming!

This time it’s a real enemy attack!

"It's really coming! It's really coming this time!" Not only the soldiers were panicked, but also the lower-level officers on duty were panicked and quickly organized soldiers to defend.

Unfortunately it's too late.

First, several sentries on the watchtower were called out by Huang Cheng, and then the gate of the village burst open under Zhang Liao's fierce attack. The Bingzhou cavalry was like a pack of wolves breaking into the sheepfold and started killing without restraint.

The First Lord was going to kill Zhang Yu, and Zhuge Liang confessed his crime. The First Lord replied: "Fang Lan has a family, so he has to be the king." Yu then abandoned the market... Zhuge's history was not as effective as in the romance, and Liu was often the one who killed him.

Big Er was making up his mind, so it was not unreasonable for Zhuge to sweat all over his back when he was entrusting the orphan...
