Chapter 1105 Ner'zhul:wdnmd! Aiming at me, right?

Crystalsong Forest is located in the center of the entire Northrend continent. It is a proper place for the Four Wars. It is not easy to gain a foothold here.

Fortunately, with the relationship between Sarlayan and the Dragon Clan, New Shandalar City does not need to worry about the threat from the Dragonblight in the south.

Through Stellagosa, Sarlayan invited the blue dragon clan to help the high elves who settled in the Lattice Forest again after thousands of years to readjust the local magic network structure.

As early as the existence of the Dark Night Empire, this area, which was still known as Moonsong Forest at that time, was the inherent territory of the elves. The ancient city of Shandara, one of the six major cities of the Dark Night Empire, was located here.

Due to a series of subsequent events, the Moonsong Forest triggered an unprecedented arcane explosion under the high-level elves' attempts to commit suicide. Large areas of the forest were crystallized by the violent arcane magic and evolved into the current Crystal Song Forest.

Many years later, the druids headed by Fandral Staghelm planted a giant rune tree in the western part of Crystalsong Forest, where the structure of the magic network was greatly changed by the impact of the arcane explosion.

Initially, Fandral planned to use the giant rune trees planted across Azeroth to assist the growth of the world tree Andrassil, the crown of the snowfield, and to curb the spread of the Saronite iron veins.

Unfortunately, because Andrassil's roots went too deep into the land of Northrend, they accidentally touched the prison of Yogg-Saron, providing an excellent opportunity for the ancient gods to invade the Emerald Dream with the help of the World Tree network.

As a last resort, Fandral and others could only reluctantly chop down Andrassil.

Although Andrassil was cut down, several giant rune trees planted by the druids at that time were preserved, and were later taken over by the green dragon clan.

That's right, the location of these giant rune trees later became the node connecting the material world and the Emerald Dream. The big shade tree in Ashenvale that is currently being monitored by Mannoroth is one of them.

Fandral Staghelm was a stubborn man who caused great harm to the Emerald Dream because of his hasty and reckless behavior.

Even though thousands of years have passed, Fandral is still very worried about this.

There is a saying that goes well, where you fall you must get up.

During the time when he was ordered to open up the Sholazar Basin, Fandal readjusted the World Tree network plan that had been formulated thousands of years ago.

Sharlayan and Valewalker Farodin successfully cultivated the miracle tree Arkandor in Suramar, which gave Fandral a lot of inspiration.

With the help of Arcandor's ability to reconcile different energies, Fandral enthusiastically conducted various improvement experiments on the Miracle Seed, and achieved some results one after another.

It is due to the efforts of druids such as Fandral and Farodin that the production of Arkandor vegetables, which was originally impressive, has been able to increase year after year.

Today, with the full popularity of Arcandor, the dangers of magic addiction that once made the elves talk about it have long since disappeared.

After solving this major problem that plagued all elven branch races, Fandal was not satisfied and turned his attention back to the World Tree Network project that had suffered a huge failure many years ago.

The original Arcandor can reconcile arcane magic and the power of nature. In theory, it should be able to use the gentle power of nature to harmonize other energies after improvement.

For example, the power of void.

Objectively speaking, the World Tree Network plan formulated by Fandral was not a complete failure, and Andrassil did effectively curb the brutal expansion of the Saronite iron veins.

As early as thousands of years ago, the Cenarion Circle conducted in-depth analysis and research on the composition of Saronite iron ore.

This ore is not a native species of Azeroth. It contains a trace amount of the power of the void. It is a deformed by-product born under the influence of the power of the ancient gods escaping from the cage.

To this day, some Saronite iron ores still grow sporadically on the land of Northrend, but their harm to Northrend is far less than it was back then.

Having said that, in Fandral's words, these Saronite iron ores are essentially the "eyes" of the ancient gods imprisoned in the cage to observe the outside world.

Fandral could not forget his failure to do his best back then.

Last year, Fandral and Sarlayan made a deal, and the druids obtained permission to enter Crystalsong Forest and improve the rune giant trees.

Fandral's experiments are also of great use to Sharlayan. Queen Azshara is still waiting for the druids to develop a new type of Akandor that can reconcile the power of the void. This is a win-win deal.

.

Fandral was a pragmatist through and through. Malfurion and Tyrande were worried that Queen Azshara would seize the dominance of the night elves after her return, but Fandral didn't care.

He doesn't care who is the leader of the night elves, as long as this person has the ability to lead the tribe and the country to continue to develop and grow.

After more than a year of hard work, Fandral successfully improved the rune giant tree in Crystalsong Forest, and successfully formed a resonance network with the improved Arcandor he planted in other areas of Northrend.

After months of observation, Fandal can now proudly announce with his chest that his World Tree Network plan has finally made progress after thousands of years.

Within the scope of the improved Akandor's resonance network, the Saronite iron ore as the Eye of the Ancient God quickly lost activity, and the trace amount of void power contained in it was also transformed into gentle non-attributed energy under the coordination of the power of nature.

After all, Crystalsong Forest and Quel'Danas Island, where the Sunwell is located, are far apart. Even if there are magic network pipes modified by the blue dragon to transmit energy, there will still be a lot of losses during the energy transmission process.

This resulted in the simplified version of the Bandy Noriel Barrier hanging over the Crystalsong Forest being much lower in power than the local genuine original.

With a large amount of non-attributed energy obtained by transforming Saronite...or Yogg-Saron's infiltration into the void energy of Northrend, a simplified version of the Bandi Noril Barrier centered on New Shandalar City

has been greatly enhanced.

To this day, the entire Crystalsong Forest can be covered by the barrier, including the iron wall dam built by the high elves on the border with Icecrown Glacier.

This chapter is not finished yet, please click on the next page to continue reading the exciting content! Due to the difference in terrain, there is a large waterfall at the border between Icecrown Glacier and Crystal Song Forest.

Before the high elves settled in Crystalsong Forest, the waterfall would return to normal flow every summer when the temperature in Northrend was relatively high.

The formation of this waterfall created a small lake on the side of Jingge Forest, as well as a stream flowing through most of Jingge Forest, bringing precious fresh water resources to Jingge Forest.

In winter, the upper reaches of the waterfall will be frozen by the extremely cold climate of Icecap Glacier, forming the spectacle of frozen waterfalls.

Affected by the simplified version of Bandi Noril's enchantment, Crystalsong Forest is like Quel'Thalas itself, with a climate that feels like spring all year round.

The original wonder of frozen waterfalls has never appeared again in warm climates, but the problems that arise from this also arise.

In order to defend against possible attacks on Crystalsong Forest after the rise of the Scourge, Sarlayan proposed a few years ago to build a strong dam upstream of the waterfall before the Scourge began to expand.

A military base with a large number of troops stationed there.

After the proposal was approved by the Sun King Kael'thas and the cabinet, and with the efforts of the two new Lords of Shan'dalar, the increasingly solid iron wall dam made Ner'zhul, who was determined to expand his territory, a chokehold.

Judging from the topographic map, Icecap Glacier borders Sholazar Basin, Wintergrasp Lake, Crystalsong Forest, and Storm Peaks.

But in fact, Ner'zhul's options for external expansion are quite limited.

At first, he planned to capture Crystalsong Forest, which is located in the center of Northrend, and then he could advance, attack, and retreat or defend.

However, the high elves who came in advance to occupy the position did not give him any chance. Whether they dug holes underground or sent gargoyles from the air to attack, the high elves, under Vereesa's command, protected him impregnably.

So Ner'zhul changed his mind and planned to go south to capture Wintergrasp, but as expected, he was beaten back by the high elves who were well prepared.

In desperation, Ner'zhul could only try the Sholazar Basin in the west.

For a while, Ner'zhul thought that his plan to invade Sholazar was successful, and the night elves who were busy expanding their territory failed to discover his little tricks underground.

However, just as Ner'zhul was gearing up to continue his efforts, Sharlayan jumped out in time and slapped him in the face to tell him...

"No, you didn't."

What? Why not go east to the Storm Peaks?

Although Ner'zhul's overall situation is worrying, at least he is not a complete idiot.

Anyone who lives in Northrend should have a basic understanding - the Storm Peaks is the inherent territory of the Titan Guardians. Unless you are extremely confident in your own strength, you should not easily enter this guardian's private territory.

Otherwise... Loken, who turns on the Creator Engine at full strength and storms the troops, will make you feel what titan creation is.

With no hope of external expansion, the incompetent and furious Ner'zhul could only devote all his efforts to developing his own one-third of an acre.

Compared with when Ner'zhul was first thrown into Azeroth, today's Icecrown has greatly changed. You can see a large number of man-made facilities built by the undead who are not afraid of the cold and heat and tirelessly everywhere.

"Hiss~"

Standing on the top of the iron-walled dam shrouded by the barrier and looking into the distance, Solas, who had no need to breathe for a long time, subconsciously took a breath of cold air.

"This... can such a majestic fortress be built on a glacier without roots underground?"

The Icecrown Fortress, which stands in the southwest of Icecrown Glacier, has been basically completed. The steel materials required to build the fortress come from the Saronye iron mine, and the cold steel exterior walls are overall in a blue-black color.

The Frozen Throne where Ner'zhul is located is still an open-air structure, but it is not that easy to climb up. You need to break through the entire line of defense carefully laid out by the Lich King.

At this time, the demonic army commanded by Tichondrius was attacking from the Burning Legion's secret base in the north of the glacier all the way south, personally demonstrating to the defenders of Azeroth how strong the defense line Ner'zhul had spent many years building was.

Vereesa had long been accustomed to this, but Solas, Daelin and Alonsos had very solemn expressions when they saw this scene for the first time.

"Ahem..." Dai Lin coughed for a while and asked with some distress: "Although this demon army is not the main force of the Burning Legion, it seems to be quite powerful."

"Even the Burning Legion has difficulty breaking through this solid defense line in a short time. How can we quietly send Solas to the depths of Icecrown Citadel to challenge the Lich King?"
