Chapter 1431 Training Gruul... in combat skills

While Sharlayan was busy sparring with the massive dragon slayer in Gruul's lair, Onyxia paid a second visit to the Orgrira ogre.

After being mercilessly taught a lesson by the Black Dragon Princess not long ago, these ogre magicians finally recognized the reality.

With their current strength, not to mention Gruul himself, not even his demigod-level Gronn sons can't deal with them.

Faced with Onyxia's inquiries, the Ogres of Orgrila chose to follow their heart and told them all the information they knew about the black dragon.

"Peng!"

When fighting Gruul, Sarlayan deliberately activated the Gigantization Technique and transformed into a giant about the same size as Gruul.

Crossing his arms again, he received Gruul's straight punch head-on. Sarlayan, who took a dozen steps back, grinned, lowered his hands and kept shaking them.

"It hurts! But your attack is still too direct, and it is easy for an experienced enemy to predict the path of your punch."

Sarlayan made a move to counterattack, but he didn't actually attack Gruul, he just made a few gestures in the air.

"For example, if you encounter an enemy who can use various means to directly attack you, your over-exerting and sparing-out fighting style will most likely be countered, just like when I defeated you before.

"

Gruul smiled and scratched his head: "But, I have always fought like this and won like this."

Sarlayan rolled his eyes angrily: "That's because it's difficult for you to meet a truly powerful enemy in Draenor."

After all, Draenor is just a remote world without Titan souls.

If Kil'jaeden hadn't accidentally discovered Velen's whereabouts in Draenor, the Burning Legion would not have bothered to attack this world with extremely backward civilization.

Sarlayan boldly guessed that the Titan creation Grond created by Avenger Aggramar out of excitement was at best as strong as Laden, the great guardian of Azeroth, and might even be stronger.

Not as good as.

Azeroth is the hope for the future that the Pantheon has put a lot of effort into preserving.

Even if you look at the entire universe, demigods are not cabbages that can be found everywhere.

Put any of Azeroth's Titan Guardians on planets that don't host star souls, and they can walk sideways with swagger.

The fundamental reason why so much high-end combat power is invested in Azeroth is because of the immature Azeroth Star Soul.

The ancient gods who came to Azeroth first absorbed the energy escaping from the star souls that had not yet born self-consciousness, and gradually grew to the point where their tails were too big to fall off.

As a last resort, Aman'Thul, the leader of the Pantheon, wanted to personally deal with these troublesome parasites.

But the result... everyone in Su knows.

Therefore, the Titan Guardians who were dropped into Azeroth in large numbers shouldered a very important mission.

On the one hand, they need to assist the star soul to grow rapidly through the Forge of Will and the Forge of Origin, and on the other hand, they need to take good care of the ancient gods who are sealed in the cage.

Compared to Azeroth, the situation in Draenor is less complicated.

When Aggramar first came to Draenor, the planet was occupied by a large number of spore creatures.

The sharp-eyed Aggramar can predict the future of Draenor at a glance.

If there is no external intervention, sooner or later this planet will be completely devoured by those wildly growing plants, and even the newly born elemental spirits will not be spared.

The Titans of the Pantheon are all the incarnations of order. In Sarlayan's words, the Titans' camp divisions are mostly orderly and good, or at least orderly neutral.

Out of compassion, Aggramar temporarily stopped pursuing the demon.

He mobilized Draenor's original four elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, giving life to Draenor's tallest peak.

This life form is the ancestor of all rock-based creatures in Draenor, Grond.

It needs to be emphasized here that Aggramar did not give Grond the protective power of the Titans. He just couldn't bear to see Draenor destroyed, so he used Draenor's local resources to enlighten a person who broke the situation.

It wasn't until Grond died of exhaustion and a large number of djinn were born from his corpse to continue Grond's unfinished journey that Aggramar, who had watched the whole show, left and continued to fulfill his mission.

.

From then on, until he was killed by Sargeras with his sword put away, Aggramar never returned to the planet he had once stopped to observe.

Therefore, Sarlayan guessed that the level of Grond, the orc, the ancestor of Gronn and ogres, should not exceed 65.

In other words, Gruul's current strength is very close to the peak of this Draenor rock creature.

But level is one thing, actual combat effectiveness is another.

For example, if the strength is suppressed at the same level, Sarlayan, who has more proficient combat skills, can easily defeat the stubborn Gruul.

In other words, Gruul has not maximized his powerful strength. Even if his level cannot be improved for the time being, his combat effectiveness still has a lot of room for improvement.

Sarlayan came from a mortal step by step. Unlike Gruul, who was born as a demi-god Magalon, he knew very well the key to defeating the strong with the weak.

When the absolute strength is inferior to that of the enemy, more proficient combat skills are the most reliable means of making a comeback.

Magron, whose body is covered with rock magic patterns, is indeed stronger than the completely flesh-and-blood Gronn in terms of absolute strength.

But according to Gruul's own experience of degradation, after becoming completely flesh and blood, his strength has indeed declined, but his brain has become more flexible than before.

Magalon will only act according to the mission instinct left by the djinn ancestors. Their destiny is to completely defeat the original beasts of Evergreen Wood.

Gruul still can't figure out why he degenerated into Gronn, but he is at least certain of one thing.

When he gradually developed a clear self-awareness, the long war between the original beast and the destroyer that lasted for thousands of years had come to an end.

Even if the Burning Legion hadn't introduced evil energy to accelerate its demise, the original beast, which was already at the end of its crossbow, would not have been able to hold on for long. Sooner or later, the Evergreen Woods would have completely disappeared under the attack of the descendant of the destroyer, the Gronn.

As the last generation of Destroyer, the last Magalon, Gruul spanned two different eras of Draenor.

Due to the lack of anyone to guide him, Gruul still uses the same fighting style as when he was Magalon to this day.

It has to be said that in today's era, his straight-forward, no-sleight-of-hand fighting style is a bit outdated. When encountering enemies of the same level, he can easily be suppressed by the opponent's skills.

Sarlayan asked Gruul with some curiosity: "I remember that there were many ogres and orcs living in the Gorgrond area, right? Why don't you learn combat skills from them? Even if it's just some superficial things."

Gruul shook his huge head and said angrily: "It's too weak, there is no need to learn."

"Uh~"

Sarlayan slapped his forehead helplessly: "...That's right, the three-legged cat skills of the orcs are indeed nothing to learn, let alone the ogres."

Including one-eyed demons, ogres and orcs, Draenor's rock-based creatures have a common problem - they rely too much on their strong physical fitness and ignore the training of combat skills.

This can also be seen through the first and second orc wars between the Alliance and the Horde.

The orcs who had been strengthened by the blood of demons were completely crushed by their strong physical fitness.

If their strength is really suppressed to the same level, the orc soldiers who rely on their talents will definitely not be able to defeat the human soldiers who have gone through arduous training.

Through communicating with Gruul during this period of time, Sarlayan discovered a problem.

This seemingly naive guy is actually not low in intelligence, but no one has ever taught him how to use his intelligence reasonably.

While Onyxia and Jaina were away busy, Sharlayan taught Gruul some simple and easy-to-learn combat techniques.

Unlike the orcs who were disliked by Gruul for being too weak, Sarlayan defeated him openly with his own strength, and Gruul was willing to follow him to learn something that would make him stronger.

"Come again!"

After understanding Sarlayan's new round of explanation, Gruul was eager to invite the battle again.

Sharlayan smiled nonchalantly. Just as he was getting into a fighting stance and preparing to continue training Gruul, Onyxia happened to transmit an important message back from the Crystal Wastes.

"Oh?" Looking at the still warm note in his hand, Sarlayan raised his eyebrows with interest: "Finally found it."
