Chapter 24 First Hearing of the Tirisfal Council

Sun King Anasteria Sunstrider had long guessed that the four nobles were behind the collapse of the Bandinoril Barrier, but he had never been able to find definite evidence.

Sandric Sunshadow was once the Archmage of Quel'Thalas and the previous patriarch of the Sunshadow family.

After the Troll War ended more than 2,000 years ago, Sandric resigned as the head of the family and concentrated on exploring the mysteries of magic and the truth of the world.

Thalayan, Lyras and Vereesa knew nothing about Sandric, but Thalorian and Valeera knew a lot about him.

The two looked at each other, and their expressions became serious.

Although Sandrick claims to be in seclusion and practice asceticism, he has actually been paying attention to the development of the world situation.

That's right, it's the situation in Azeroth as a whole, not just in Quel'Thalas.

Many years ago, Sandrick joined a secret mage organization.

Council of Tirisfal.

The Council of Tirisfal was originally established to hunt down demons drawn to Azeroth by arcane powers.

Salorian had heard about Sandric through the Sun King and Veleth Deep Shadow, while Valeera had heard about Sandric through family connections.

After joining the Backlight Blade, Valeera came into contact with a lot of secret information that she had never known before, including the deeds of the Sangunar family's ancestors.

The Sangunar family officially became prosperous after the Troll War, but in an earlier period, the Sangunar family produced a great mage of unknown reputation.

Revthera Sangunar, along with Sandric and Merry Winterwind, are the three elders of the Council of Tirisfal.

Due to working together for many years, Lefusela and Sandric have a close friendship, but their friendship does not affect the Sangunar family and the Sunshadow family, who are opposed to each other.

A few years ago, Medivh, the last guardian of Tirisfal, was controlled by the soul of the fallen titan Sargeras, secretly wiping out almost all members of the Council.

These included Revthera and Sandric, and only the lich Merry Winterwind, who was missing at the time, escaped.

"The Parliament of Tirisfal has been destroyed, and Sandric was confirmed dead a few years ago. So this teleportation book..."

Facing Salorian's question, Melia, who had dark circles under her eyes, smiled sarcastically.

"His relics, I'm afraid Sandrick would never have dreamed that his relics would be so abused by unscrupulous descendants."

In his heyday, Sandric was a powerful mage that even Anastria was full of praise for.

Although he and the Sunstrider royal family have different positions, Sandrick, who has truly experienced the threat of trolls, will never betray the country's interests for the family's profit.

He and his old comrade-in-arms Anasteria can be considered sympathetic to each other, and there is cooperation and competition between them.

After the birth of the Tirisfal Guardian system, the members of the Council transferred most of their magic power to the first-generation guardian Alodi, and this power of guardian was passed down from generation to generation.

As he gradually entered the twilight years of his life and lost most of his magic power, Sandric's strength was no longer what it used to be. He began to share his rich experience and cultivate outstanding disciples for the Council of Tirisfal.

Unforeseen circumstances occurred, and no one expected that the Guardian would be infiltrated by the Fallen Titan.

When Medivh came to the door, Sankoric, like other councilors, was killed by the fallen guardian with almost no chance of fighting back.

The Council of Tirisfal has now completely declined, existing in name only, and only the single seedling of Merry Winterwind is still floating outside.

"This teleportation book should have been made during Sandrick's heyday. Use it to forcefully break through the space restrictions set by the orc warlocks."

Melia followed the magic lines on the parchment scroll with her shimmering fingers, and after a while she sighed regretfully.

"No, it's difficult to imitate the divine essence by copying a tiger from a cat. Without knowing the specific amount of magic power injected into each magic pattern, it is basically impossible to reproduce this precious unlimited teleportation book."

Melia looked up at Sarlayan reluctantly: "Little Sarlayan, do you really want to use it? You need to use less of this kind of treasure."

Sharlayan said solemnly: "Melia, I know that you, like me, don't care about the survival of Quel'Thalas."

"But with your ability, you should have already noticed the dilemma Quel'Thalas is facing now, right?"

Melia spread her hands indifferently: "Of course, I guessed the direction of this war as early as when the tribe broke through the Bandinoril barrier."

"Those guys in Silver Moon City who only know how to have fun are definitely not the tribe's rivals with high fighting spirit, but with the protection of the Sunwell, they will not lose easily. This war will inevitably be dragged out into a protracted war."

"What the orcs lack is time. Sooner or later they will withdraw from this quagmire of war, leaving the trolls, the old rivals of the high elves, to fight with Quel'Thalas."

Sarlayan nodded in agreement: "If this war can wake up those arrogant fools from the dreams they have weaved, it would be a good thing."

"The original intention of my action has nothing to do with the higher-ups in Quel'Thalas. I just don't want people who have cared about me to die unfortunately in this war."

"Um?"

Melia, who was shrinking in Sarlayan's arms, opened her eyes wide and asked with a somewhat serious expression: "Who is in danger? It shouldn't be Julian, right?"

Sarlayan shook his head and turned his gaze to Lylas and Vereesa.

"It's the Ranger General, Leretha Windrunner. She was targeted by the orcs and trolls, and there were traitors from Silvermoon City working behind her."

Melia's eyes became deep, and after thinking for a moment, a sneer appeared on her face.

"Hmph~ Dirty political struggle, even going so far as to cut off the wings of the Sunstrider royal family."

"If Sandrick learns all this in the Shadow Realm, I'm afraid he will want to personally strangle those unscrupulous descendants to death."

Sarlayan asked doubtfully: "Shadow Realm?"

Melia waved her hand: "That is the world where the dead live. People who are still alive should not be interested in it."

After rubbing her cheeks, Melia finally jumped out of Sarlayan's arms.

"Leresa is also my friend. I can't just watch her die of a despicable conspiracy... I helped her with this."

"But please remember one thing."

Melia pretended to draw a clear line: "I am not taking action for the sake of this already decayed kingdom. Don't use any big principles to restrain me in the future."

"I am me, Melia Starwhisper, the wandering mage who is only loyal to my own desires."

Salorian's unspoken solicitation was stuck in his throat, and in the end he could only helplessly smile.

"I understand, I will convey your message to the Sun King."

Although many of Melia's weird behaviors in life and work make people laugh or cry, she is indeed a great mage without any pretense.

When she makes up her mind to act, Melia is more efficient than those mage masters who always like to make excuses.

It took half an hour in total to travel and persuade Melia, and there was less than two hours left before Anderson's scheduled contact time with his employer.

It only took Melia more than 20 minutes to decipher the coordinate-limiting runes added by the Sun Shadow family to the teleportation book.

"Haha~ Incompetent guy, adding such low-level runes to the relics left by Sandrick is simply blasphemy."

Easily erasing those runes that Melia thought were very inferior, slightly modifying the coordinates, she re-engraved similar but different sets of runes on the scroll.

"Done."

After the blue arcane light on the scroll dissipated, Melia threw it to Salorian.

"When you need to use it, just activate it with magic power."

Picking up the red bottle on the table and shaking it, Melia waved her hands impatiently and started to chase away the guests.

"The transaction has been completed, please leave quickly. Except for little Saryan, please don't bother me again in the future."

"Especially that female squirrel."

Valeera, who was already in a bad mood, exploded when she heard this scornful name.

"Who is the she-squirrel? You old maid with a steel body!"

"ha?!"

'It's going to happen!'

Sarlayan, who had made similar statements and was severely punished, knew that Valeela had accurately stepped on Melia's minefield.

...and there are two of them with one step.

Before Melia's sanity was broken by anger, Sarlayan moved sideways to block her sight and gave Melia a heavy hug.

At the same time, he swung his left hand vigorously behind his back, signaling for others to take Valeera and evacuate immediately.

"Melia, don't behave like a child. Children's words are unbridled."

"You and I……"

Her chest, which was almost curveless, rose and fell violently. It took Melia a long time, with a dark face, to barely suppress her furious emotions.

"Hmph! For your sake, let's let the female squirrel go this time."

"But let me remember her well! There will be absolutely no next time!"
