Chapter 58 The Tree of Life

The origin of the Tree of Life, Saas'ala, is now unknown. Long before the Highborne Elves crossed the sea and arrived in the Eastern Continent, this towering giant tree stood at the core of what was then called the Amani Forest.

Some say that Thas'ara is Nordrassil's sister tree.

Some people also say that it was a reward given by the will of the planet to the forest trolls who showed bravery in the war after the troll empire defeated the dark empire led by the ancient gods.

Regarding the origin of Sas'ala, even the barrage, which has always shown itself to be omniscient, was blinded.

The Glass Slag Company followed the usual practice of digging holes but not filling them, and did not tell the follow-up of Sas'ala, only mentioning it in the background of the Windrunner's bow and the artifact Sas'dora.

In the history books of Quel'Thalas, records about Sath'ara began after the establishment of the kingdom, that is, more than 6,800 years ago.

The Sunwell is undoubtedly the key to the reason why Yongsong Forest can be like spring all year round, but Sath'ala also plays an important role in it.

This giant tree of unknown origin does have many similarities with the world tree Nordrassil.

They are also nourished by the magic source generated by the eternal well water, and they also protect the elves' tribe.

The bow of Thasdora, the artifact longbow passed down from generation to generation in the Windrunner family, was made by taking branches of Thassala, the Tree of Life, and soaking them in the energy of the Sunwell for a long time.

The residents living in the southern part of Yongsong Forest have great respect for Saas'ala. From time to time, they will go to Deshom Temple in their free time, sit quietly under the huge tree roots, and experience the rare peace of mind.

Sarlayan and Valeera had gone there several times before, but the naturally active young man couldn't understand why so many adults liked to sit under the tree in a daze.

Sath'ara is of great significance to the Windrunner family. Lireza specially ordered Sylvanas to go to the Temple of Dysholme to meditate before leaving the kingdom to clear her mind of distracting thoughts so that she could leave Quelsa.

Lars was able to focus wholeheartedly on his responsibilities.

The mages were not interested in Sath'ala, but as the leader of the army, Sylvanas insisted on going, and they could only go with Rommath's comfort.

After revisiting their old place, the grown-up Sarlayan, Valeera and others all had different feelings.

In the past, Sarlayan had a subconscious rejection of the peaceful atmosphere near the Tree of Life. He always felt that stepping into the temple would make him lose his fighting spirit.

From a certain point of view, Sarlayan's intuition is not wrong, but its role in Sath'ala is somewhat exaggerated.

The administrator guarding the Temple of Dysholme knew in advance that Sylvanas would be coming, and politely guided everyone to the gate of the temple.

A huge tree that stretches to the sky and the earth stands deep in the temple. If you stand at the root of the tree and look up, you can't even see the head.

There seems to be a certain tranquility under the trees in Sasala. Even the mages who had been very impetuous before entered the temple and became a lot more honest. Some clever mages even sat down and began to meditate.

"Dong~dong~"

When others were affected by Sas'ala's peaceful stance and closed their eyes to begin to clear their hearts, Sarlayan's heart began to beat abnormally.

'This is?'

Sarlayan felt some kind of wonderful power from the tree body of Sath'ara.

This power is different from anger that is amplified by emotions, and it is different from the arcane energy that pervades the Eversong Forest.

It is gentler than anger, more stable than arcane, and more attractive to Sharlayan.

While everyone, including the temple administrator, was bowing their heads in meditation, Sarlayan was approaching Sassala step by step.

When the temple manager came to his senses and tried to stop this arrogant person with a change of color on his face, Sarlayan's right hand had already touched the bark of the Tree of Life.

The majestic energy immediately poured into Sarlayan's body. This gentle power did not harm his body, but instead healed the many hidden wounds left by his years of fighting.

Under the stunned gaze of the temple administrator, Sarlayan's body was suspended in mid-air, wrapped in a green energy.

An emerald green energy light belt connected him to Sas'ala, and it looked as if the tree of life was blessing him.

This situation has never happened before, and the managers didn't know what to do for a while, so they could only watch the situation continue to develop.

After Sylvanas and others woke up from meditation, they followed in the footsteps of the managers. The reinforcements that were supposed to continue setting off looked at the "green man" floating in the air in surprise.

The rich green light completely enveloped Sarlayan, and it was impossible to see what was inside this green sphere from the outside.

After Valeela came back to her senses, she discovered a big problem. Sarlayan, who was standing next to her, disappeared.

"Could it be..."

The barrage that witnessed the entire incident has already started a new round of flooding the screen.

"Green! I understand, this is evil energy, Sharlayan is the son of chaos! (Funny)"

"So, Gul'dan, what's the price?"

"Grass, don't be funny at this time. This is obviously natural energy!"

"The six origins of the universe are life, death, order, chaos, light, and shadow."

"The energies embodied by each of these six sources are nature, undead, arcane, evil energy, holy light, and void."

"We have always been worried that Sarlayan, a loser who cannot touch the six origins, will retreat from the environment sooner or later in the future. Now it seems that this worry can be put down."

"Natural energy... That's right. Sarlayan's talent has natural affinity, which must have been inherited from his mother."

"Among the dragons, the only ones that have something to do with nature are the red dragon and the green dragon, but they use natural energy in different ways."

The increasingly intense natural energy made Sylvanas, the legendary ranger, feel pressure and woke her up from her surprise.

"Retreat! Everyone exit the temple!"

The large army had just withdrawn from the temple in a panic, and many translucent green lines suddenly appeared on the surface of the endless tree of life.

The branches and leaves covering the entire Yongge Forest seemed to be cheering, and the friction between the leaves made a huge sound like the sweeping waves.

"Ahh!!!"

As natural energy enters the body, Sarlayan feels comfortable and warm at first as if he is wrapped in his mother's womb.

But as more and more natural energy poured into his body, his body seemed to be ignited by flames, and the burning pain from the inside to the outside made him unable to help shouting.

A flash of crimson fire erupted from the mouth of Sarlayan, who looked up to the sky and screamed.

At the same time, the Tree of Life also stopped injecting power into his body and began to recover the excess natural power in an orderly manner.

"Hu~hu~"

After landing from the sky, Sarlayan's armor was completely soaked with hot sweat.

As Valeera accelerated her approach, she could even see the hazy water vapor rising from his body.

"Salayan, are you okay...ah!"

Just after putting her hand on Sharlayan's mail, Valeela took her hand back reflexively.

“So hot!”

The anxious Valeera noticed that the armor on Sarlayan's body was actually a little red, as if it had been burned by flames for a long time.

But Sarlayan was hung in the air for only a few minutes. Logically speaking, it was impossible to burn the metal armor that had already cooled down.

An idea flashed in Valeela's mind, and she recalled a secret that Sarlayan told her a few days ago.

‘The awakening of dragon bloodline…?’
