Chapter 93 Lin Yi's Persuasion to Surrender

The news of Kuadu Taxi's financing had just come out. After discussing it with Liu Jiani, Lin Yi felt that the time was finally ripe, so he went south again and returned to his hometown of Lin'an.

He didn't go home because he had an appointment today.

The place Lin Yi went to was a quiet cafe on Nanshan Road. He found this place, but it was actually his first time there.

He arrived first, but fortunately the guest was also very punctual and didn't keep him waiting.

Lu Chuanwei opened the door, observed this cafe with a literary and artistic atmosphere, found his target, and walked straight over.

"Have Mr. Lu been to this store before?"

Lin Yi greeted him like a familiar old friend, but in fact the two had only met a few times. Based on their respective identities and positions, it was difficult to call him happy.

If you want to define the personal relationship between them, calling them "acquaintances" is probably an exaggeration. At most, it can be regarded as "acquaintances."

Lu Chuanwei simply replied: "No."

Lin Yi stretched out his hand and gestured around, and introduced it in a fresh way: "This store is a cafe during the day and turns into a bar at night. I just learned about it."

Lu Chuanwei did not pick up the topic, but asked: "Although today is a holiday, if Mr. Lin goes back to his hometown to visit relatives or take a vacation, he won't go out of his way to meet me, an outsider, right?"

Lin Yi likes to associate with polite people. This is probably Lu Chuanwei's euphemistic way of expressing "If you have something to say, speak it quickly, and if you have something to say, let it go quickly."

He smiled to show some kindness, and then continued the topic he was halfway talking about: "Does Mr. Lu drink?"

"Drink a little."

Lin Yi said: "I don't like drinking. Whether it is beer, white wine or red wine, it will make me feel uncomfortable, especially the feeling of being drunk once. I don't want to experience it a second time."

"So I really don't understand why some people are obsessed with drinking. I heard that many people in the United States are addicted to alcohol. I wonder what Mr. Lu knows about them?"

Lu Chuanwei's tone remained unchanged: "I'm not an alcoholic, and I don't know much about them."

"Right."

Lin Yi didn't know what he meant by this. He rambled on and found that Lu Chuanwei seemed to have no intention of chatting with him, so he finally brought the topic to a formal level:

"Mr. Lu must have had a lot of opportunities to drink recently. After all, Kuadu Taxi just completed a successful financing, so he should have drank champagne, right?"

Finally, the conversation got to the main topic, and Lu Chuanwei cheered up.

He knew that Lin Yi definitely didn't come to him to make friends, so the string in his mind was kept tight and he didn't answer the other party's boring topics.

"Of course this is something worth celebrating, but it's not time to relax when taking Tuk-Tuk taxis. After all, Mr. Lin's thousands of miles of travel and Tuk-Tuk taxis still exist."

"Of course, this is just respect among peers, and it does not mean that Kuadu has any fear of you. This time when the private car business was launched, Kuadu was ahead of Tukdu's taxis, and its investment and operation strategies were very successful."

"Given time, I don't think Mr. Lin will be able to sit here and drink coffee leisurely anymore."

Lin Yi didn't go out of his way to clarify the fact that he actually didn't like drinking coffee either. Apart from the environment, he chose this place for some other reason.

"Mr. Lu, don't be too nervous. If I say that Kuadu Taxi has completed US$600 million in financing and come here to congratulate you, you will definitely think that I am a weasel giving New Year greetings to a chicken, and I have no good intentions."

"But having said that, I definitely didn't come here to ridicule you. Some media wanted to invite me and Cheng Wei to watch our jokes together, but we both refused."

"I think there should be some consensus among the three parties, that is, no matter how we compete internally, we should not do anything that affects the image of the industry externally."

Lu Chuanwei did not relax his vigilance because of Lin Yi's few words. Now that the conversation had reached this point, he simply asked:

"Then why is Mr. Lin here today?"

"The purpose of my coming is the same as the purpose of Liu Qing's coming, and I guess she has been looking for you recently, right?"

Lu Chuanwei did not answer directly: "If this is the case, I think Satellite has already responded to Kuaidu's representative the last time we met."

"So I didn't look for Chen Weixing, I looked for you."

Lin Yi successfully interrupted him with this sentence, and then said: "Let's start with the 600 million US dollars just mentioned."

"Let's not talk secretly. The reason why Kuaidu was able to obtain such a large amount of financing in such a short period of time despite temporarily changing its financing plan has little to do with you yourself."

"I don't mean to look down on Bian Kuadu when I say this, but Mr. Lu, you should know better than me how much effort Factory A has put into this."

"Factory A is really rich, I'm very envious of it."

"This is the truth. Xie Shihuang should have told you that I once approached Factory A to discuss financing, but unfortunately they were unwilling to give me this opportunity."

"However, if you look at it this way, from the establishment of Kuadu Taxi, it has been round A, round B, round C, round D, and Factory A has not been absent from every round of financing."

"Except for the longitude and latitude of the B round, the other investors are either the original owners of Factory A or related households of Factory A."

“I don’t know how many shares Factory A now holds in Kuadu after several rounds, but what I’m more curious about is how much control Factory A can have in Kuadu.”

"Mr. Lu, it's not easy for you as a CEO, right?"

Lin Yi's words were clearly sowing discord. Just like when he said Cheng Wei in front of Liu Chiping, they were purely heart-wrenching remarks.

Lu Chuanwei's expression remained unchanged: "Mr. Lin, Mr. Xie said at the beginning that you were making nonsense at Factory A and attacking the stability and unity within Kuadu. If you still do this today, I'm afraid there is nothing new."

"Am I talking nonsense?"

Lin Yi recalled his initial meeting with Xie Shihuang, and it seemed that this was the most honest evaluation of the other party's meeting with him.

"Mr. Lu, you know better than me whether what I said is true or not."

"It's not easy to be the president of the Airborne Forces. You already have a restless second-in-command like Chen Weixing, and now there's another Factory A who has become the Supreme Emperor."

"I just asked Factory A how many owners it can be in Kuadu. Now let me ask one more question, Mr. Lu, how many owners can you be in Kuadu?"

Lu Chuanwei asked calmly: "If Mr. Lin feels that I can't make the decision in Kuaidu, why did you ask me out today?"

Lin Yi did not pursue him fiercely. He changed his words very well and said:

"I made a mistake, Mr. Lu, and I am willing to take back what I just said. It is precisely because I think Mr. Lu is Kuadu's most discerning and decisive person that I chose to ask you out today."

"Invite me out to persuade you to surrender?"

There was a hint of irony in Lu Chuanwei's words, but Lin Yi became more sincere:

"That's not my intention at all. In fact, I want to provide Mr. Lu with a win-win solution that both of you can be satisfied with."

He curled his fingers and said with a smile: "WIN WIN."
