Chapter 6 Wei Ran's First Kill

Suppressing their worries, the two ran into the ruins as quickly as possible and found the stairs leading to the second floor at the other end of the corridor.

But Lieutenant Lev did not rush up. Instead, he aimed his gun at the wooden door of a room at the edge of the stairs and winked at Wei Ran.

With a soft "squeak" sound, Wei Ran used the muzzle of his submachine gun to push open a wooden door next to the corridor. Then he saw a skinny little girl who was only in her teens at most, holding a light blue blanket and hiding.

In the corner, a pair of eyes stared at the two people outside the door with trepidation.

At the same time, outside the corridor window, the sound of motorcycle engines was getting closer and closer!

The two looked at each other, got into the house in no particular order, and looked outside through the cracks in the wall. What made Weiran's adrenaline rush was that there was only a wall between them, and two German half-track motorcycles were already parked.

On the open space.

What's even worse is that because of the obstruction of the building itself, even if nothing happens to Oleg, he can't hit them at all!

Before Wei Ran could figure out what to do, Lieutenant Lev had already ignited a long-handled grenade, opened the door and threw it out through the corridor window!

After the "boom" explosion, the three German soldiers who had just got off the half-track motorcycle were completely silent, but soon, the German shouts came from another building not far away!

"Victor, I'll stop them!" As Lieutenant Lev spoke, he had already changed the magazine for his submachine gun.

"Hang it! Run!"

Wei Ran took a step and was about to run upstairs, but within two steps he stepped back, picked up the little girl who was still cowering in the room, and whispered, "Let's go upstairs!"

"Don't forget there are snipers up there," Lieutenant Lev warned, and ran up the stairs that could break at any time.

Almost at the same time that Wei Ran climbed up to the second floor, the second grenade thrown by Lieutenant Lev behind him also clanged down the stairs.

Regardless of complaining about the reckless lieutenant, Wei Ran hugged the skinny little girl and hid in a small room next to the stairs, and then covered the little girl's body with the light blue blanket.

Almost at the same time as he finished his work, a rumbling explosion sounded again, but Wei Ran, who was about to come out of the room to help, heard a particularly clear gunshot, followed by Lieutenant Lev's scream!

"It's broken!" Wei Ran subconsciously opened the wooden door that he had just closed, but then he raised his hand as if he had been stung by the door handle.

Only separated by a wooden door, Lieutenant Lev's screams continued, and he could vaguely hear the sound of leather shoes hitting the ground and the friction of Lieutenant Lev's hard crawling with the floor.

Why am I so unlucky!

Wei Ran stretched out his hand anxiously again, but in the end he did not have the courage to open the wooden door. The smell of corpses was everywhere around him, Lieutenant Lev's screams outside the door, and the unhurried tapping of leather shoes on the ground.

Even the German conversation that came not long after, which he couldn't understand at all, was like a heavy hammer hitting his heart that grew up in peacetime.

Inexplicably, he felt nauseous and wanted to vomit, but he also knew that if he made any sound at this time, he would be killed!

Finally, the brief German conversation outside the door faded away, and a steady male voice with a strong accent slowly asked in Russian, "Where is your companion?"

Can't wait any longer!

Wei Ran took out the long-handled grenade stuck in his waist, mustered up the courage to open the wooden door and threw the grenade out!

The enemy outside the door had already expected this sudden movement, but the flying grenade still startled him, and he subconsciously wanted to hide in the direction of the stairwell! Wei Ran rushed out with almost both feet, front and back.

He pulled the trigger on the fallen figure!

There was a crisp and short gunshot, and the fallen figure shuddered, but then he realized that those bullets did not seem to hit him.

Wei Ran picked the trigger and realized that there were only a few bullets in the magazine. Fortunately, he reacted quickly enough. He held the butt of the gun with both hands, rounded the submachine gun in his hand, and hit the German sniper hard.

The hand just raised the pistol on the arm.

In the crisp sound of gunfire, a blood-stained PPK pistol slipped from the hand of the German soldier. However, Wei Ran had already released the gun butt, took out the posture of having a bloody battle with Mao Zi in college, and grabbed half a pistol.

A brick hit the opponent's face hard!

This heavy blow directly knocked the German soldier who was about to stand up onto the stairs full of bullet casings!

"Victor!" Lieutenant Lev shouted and threw over a Mauser bayonet with a scabbard attached.

Wei Ran hurriedly took the bayonet, and the already furious Wei Ran pulled out the scabbard and stabbed it into the sniper's stomach!

The smelly and warm blood flowed down the wound onto Wei Ran's hand, wetted the cuffs and then splashed onto his face. But Wei Ran, who had lost his mind, did not stop at all, and mechanically pulled out again and again.

The action of stabbing the bayonet in again.

"Victor, Victor"

Lieutenant Lev climbed up with difficulty at some point, hugged Wei Ran's shoulders, and locked his hands at the same time, "He is dead, he is already dead."

"died?"

Wei Ran looked at the body he was riding under, then at the dark red blood pouring out of his mouth and his eyes that had lost their vitality. Yu Wang, who could no longer control his vomiting, let out a "wow" sound.

On the face of the corpse.

"You eat so well, you even have vegetables."

Lieutenant Lev didn't mind it being dirty. He stretched out his hand to pull away Wei Ran's vomit, pulled out an oval soldier's badge from the neck of the corpse, wiped it casually and handed it to the former, then picked up the PPK pistol.

, asked without raising his head, "First time killing someone?"

"Yeah." Wei Ran, who tried his best to control his retching, glanced at the soldier card in his hand, and climbed away from the corpse with his feet and hands.

"It's good to get used to it, but if you can kill a sniper for the first time, and you are still a captain, you are really lucky. If you can survive until the end of the war, you can at least get the same military rank. Of course, as long as you

If you survive three days in Stalingrad, you can at least become a company commander."

The nagging Lieutenant Lev also returned the grenade he picked up to Wei Ran, "But remember to pull the string before throwing the grenade next time."

"If you pull the cord, you'll die." Wei Ran took the grenade and pinned it on his belt again, "What about you? Where were you shot just now?"

"Thank you for giving me this before." Lieutenant Lev grinned and took out a helmet fragment from his arms. The sharp edge of this fragment was stained with a trace of blood.

"You're also lucky." Wei Ran breathed a sigh of relief, and his mood gradually calmed down.
