Chapter Thirty: Stannis Paulus, Part 1

The extraordinary properties were dissolved by the bone rings piece by piece, and the soul-stirring blood light injected evil power into the earth. The bone burial ground in the forest surged like waves, and indescribable terrifying screams and wails broke out of the ground.

.

Some kind of terrible monster appears in this world.

They are composed of pale bones, huge membranes and green ghost fire in the chest, and they hover in the sky in groups.

The moment she saw them, Galadia's smile froze. The gray-brown shadows flying in the air almost awakened her most twisted and crazy nightmare.

They walked through the treetops and black clouds, flapping their wings wildly. Their rotten mouthparts and four claws had sharp fangs or barbs. Their gray leathery wings were large and powerful, and their long tails were made of bones.

Dragging behind them, they were curved and ugly. A layer of indescribable black rot wrapped their broken bodies, preventing them from shattering in flight.

Under the guidance of the bone ring, they swooped down at high speed and then pulled up. In the sharp whistling sound that sounded like a whistle, they used bone blades and claws to tear the living corpses on the ground to test their strength, or they grabbed sharp bone fragments and stones from the air.

Throw it down.

Griffith's eyes sparkled, and he opened his hands as if to embrace the monsters flying among the dark clouds:

"I give you new names,

"You are the undead dragon eagles, the undead creatures who fight for me!"

His expression is solemn and majestic, wanton and flamboyant, and he is sincerely cheering for the undead creatures to appear on the battlefield. I am afraid there is no death knight more qualified than him in the world.

For a moment, Galadia wondered if she had found the wrong person, and was afraid that he might turn into a banshee-like existence...

Griffith turned around. He held his right hand emptyly, as if the life and death of all things in the world were in his palm:

"My army is ready,

"Now, feel the roar of death!"

Since we have decided to fight, we should naturally concentrate our forces to crush them with unstoppable power.

Griffith invested all the treasured crystals of extraordinary characteristics, retaining only the characteristics of the two Sequence 6 Secret Peepers he had just captured.

An army composed of 800 living zombies and 200 self-destructing balls is ready, and the sturdy Stitch Monster and the ferocious Necronomicon Dragon Eagle have also quietly assembled. They will be divided into two groups to attack different targets.

For the first time, Griffith had an army that was completely at his command. He jumped onto the skeleton horse, surveyed the elven defense lines and fortresses in the distance, identified his prey, and raised his hand to point.

Half-elves and human corpses immediately rushed out of their hidden forests and valleys, roaring away overwhelmingly.

From the map, the elves have built a Silver Moon Fortress and multiple outposts to support the defense line on the hillsides and river valleys. The fortress stands on both sides of the river valley leading to the north, connecting Canaan with the outside world.

Both the fortress and the outpost have a good view and are guarded by capable and vigilant rangers. There are huge crystals inside the building that are constantly rotating. Life activities that appear nearby will be detected by the energy scattered by the crystal. If you want

To go to the Yalan territory, you also need to pass through the south of the fortress. It is impossible not to be discovered.

Once you break through here, there are dense jungles and wastelands to the north. Elves, orcs, trolls and other races often fight fiercely there, and the significance of the fortress becomes very important. The complete fortifications and steep terrain ensure that the garrison can survive an attack.

Hold on long enough to wait for the support of the main force.

Even if a legion comes to attack, such a fortress will be difficult to conquer in a short time.

General Stannis Paulus received the order last night and hurried to Silvermoon Fortress to take over the command. Before he could figure out what was going on, the new order required him to command less than two teams deployed in the fortress.

50 elven spellcasters, rangers and knights, as well as nearly a thousand half-elves and human soldiers, entered the first level of alert.

Late at night, groups of four or five Elf Extraordinaires gathered here and spread out to the surroundings. They were all well-equipped and looked like elites specialized in performing special tasks. According to their superiors, the evil god's minions attacked.

In the Consul's Mansion, many important figures died in the battle, and Miss Villanoy was also kidnapped.

"Garadia has been captured!?" Stannis jumped up almost as soon as he heard the news, preparing to lead the rangers in a search.

However, a messenger from his superiors asked him to stick to the fortress and not take any unauthorized actions. The helpless general could only return to the headquarters and continue to strengthen vigilance.

Group after group of mobile troops came and left. In the early hours of the morning, thunder, hurricanes, flames and earthquakes occurred one after another. The light under the dark sky flickered continuously. The strong men of Canaan were already at war with the cultists.

Not long after, a large number of dead and wounded were brought over. Many half-elf archers and engineers arrived with only half-length corpses left, or were burned into small pieces of charcoal.

Stannis was horrified to see it. The miserable remains showed that they must have been hit by a large-scale attack spell while hiding in the sniper position, and the entire team was destroyed.

This is the move of an enemy who is so well-prepared and powerful!

The fighting in the forest to the east became more and more intense. In the second half of the night, after a big flash like the rising sun, smoke clouds shot straight into the sky, and a violent earthquake shook the dust off the roof of the headquarters.

Stannis could no longer sit still. He began to inspect the fortress. When he passed by the arrow tower and magic circle, he heard some half-elves spreading vague rumors——

"There are also believers of the evil god among the elves, and the big shots are attacking each other!"

At dawn, the dead and wounded of elf rangers, knights, and even extraordinary beings were also brought in. Some of them were injured, but more of them were just broken corpses that had taken away their extraordinary properties. The injured were all black

With a straight face and no mention of who caused their injuries, the rumors among the half-elf soldiers became more terrifying, and the entire fortress was shaken.

Stannis immediately sent out military police knights to suppress the situation. Just when the sky was getting brighter and the order control work was beginning to bear fruit, the scouts discovered a brown belt on the plain south of the fortress.

A torrent of rotting living corpses surged out of the forest, crossed over streams and grasslands, and began to hit the Silver Moon Fortress like a tide. Among the fast-running living corpses were burly giant suture monsters, and strange spherical monsters rolled past both sides.

An army of undead creatures appeared in the hinterland of Canaan, behind the fortress, sweeping over the green land like a tide.

The half-elf archers with excellent eyesight discovered that many of the monsters coming towards them had similar body shapes and appearances to their companions. The rags hanging on the decayed and rotting bodies looked familiar, and the hollow eye bones were flashing.

The ghost fire is filled with hatred for the living.

The half-elves even forgot to attack for a moment.

"Attack, don't let them get close." Stannis issued the order, gathering the troops scattered in the fortress to the side facing the zombie tide, and at the same time reporting his battle situation to the Canaan side.

The half-elf archers divided into several waves and used dense fire arrows to intercept the tide of corpses. Wizards and bed crossbows also deployed, and continuous flames and lightning were shot from the fortress and hit the tide of corpses.

The troops of living zombies dispersed like mercury pouring down the ground. Some were eliminated by magic and arrows, but the remaining ones were still fearless in death and took turns to attack the barrier. They used the shelter of ravines and trees to swarm under the high wall of the fortress, and the suture monster moved toward

Bone chains were thrown from above, catching the half-elves who were caught off guard.

The half-elves who were just glad that they were hiding on the wall were immediately hooked one after another and disappeared in the sound of gnawing.

Suddenly, Stannis saw two openings opened by the zombie tide, and two spherical monsters glowing with green light rolled towards the golden-red fortress wall.

"Wizard, use your stance to isolate them and don't get close to the city wall!"

Stannis's order had just been issued, and before the caster could recover from the cooldown of the attack spell, the first wave of spherical zombies crashed into the outer barrier.

There was a loud "win" sound in his ears, and he felt like he was pushed hard and fell backwards. The half-elf archer placed in front of him flew all over the sky like dandelions, and then fell sparsely.

.

Green blasts of liquid erupted one after another, and the thick city wall defenses exploded in the continuous impact.

It's much stronger than what I've used before. Is it because of my growth? Griffith watched from a distance as two gaps were dug out of the Silver Moon Fortress, and living corpses swarmed in from the messy ruins. He had no idea about the situation of the battle.

I was a little surprised at the success.

However, if you think about it carefully, he is not an Extraordinary in the path of a puppet master. There should be no mutual improvement between the summoner and the summoned object. Then, it is probably that the corpse itself as the material contains a certain amount of magic power or is different.

Due to factors, the blasting effect of the self-destructing ball has also been enhanced.

As soon as the living corpses broke through the outer layer, the two magic crystals inside Silver Moon Fortress flickered violently. They were set up on the inner city wall, and the casters gathered nearby had just been knocked over by the impact of the explosion. However, the crystals had changed from clear to clear.

The pure white color changes to light red, then crimson, and finally appears as a bleeding dark red.

The magic crystal occupies an excellent position and trembles like a heart. Red arcs of electricity surge around the crystal, forming a spear-like beam and throwing it out. The living corpses that are hit are penetrated or torn apart like paper.

The living corpses that rushed toward the gap continued to hit with light spears, leaving behind a dense mass of broken corpses in the blink of an eye, suffocating the offensive. With this precious breath, the guard troops who had been knocked down by the explosion also returned one after another.

A counterattack began at the post.

Galadia trembled and quietly watched the battle between her tribe and the undead. The inward side of Silver Moon Fortress was open and not suitable for defense. Griffith's troops deployed very quickly, and the attack was also sudden. In the blink of an eye,

The first line of defense has been breached. However, Canaan's fortress is not so easily breached.

"Let's go," Griffith hugged her onto the skeleton horse again, "Let's go over the mountain."

"But, the fortress will not be conquered~"

"Of course it can't be captured," Griffith nodded and said, "I don't plan to leave from here."
