Chapter 696: A terrible secret

After repeatedly promising not to reveal even a word, Vincent and Hermione were escorted back to the dormitory safely by the professors.

After taking a hot bath, the two of them lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling in tacit understanding.

Regardless of the more complicated ones, everyone is thinking about why they should be kept secret.

Once word spreads about werewolves losing their minds and attacking students, the magical world's impression of them will definitely deteriorate.

Those in the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts are likely to become homeless like most werewolves, living a wandering life without a meal.

Sympathy?

No, there must be other reasons.

There are a total of two irrational werewolves.

One is the tall and lanky werewolf encountered in the Shrieking Shack, and the other is the werewolf leader Warwick.

And the reason why we were attacked by a large group of werewolves tonight was because of the lanky werewolf's cry after being tied up.

Without that howl, the werewolf leader would not have led his companions down the mountain, and in the end he lost his mind and made things worse.

"Who are you favoring?"

With the same questions, Vincent and Hermione gradually fell asleep.

Not long after dawn, Vincent was woken up by his roommates.

Professors dare to sneak out for a night out when they are keeping vigil. There is nothing more Gryffindor than this.

"Old Wen, were you caught by Professor McGonagall later?"

"Yes, I'd better catch you in person when I come back."

The three roommates couldn't help but give him a thumbs up.

Vincent accepted it humbly and said that he would continue to work hard and strive for an early breakthrough.

James patted him on the shoulder and told him earnestly, "Old Wen, the only person standing in the way of your domination of the school is Professor Dumbledore.

You must always be vigilant and act cautiously, so that you can stand firmly at the top of Hogwarts."

Vincent dodged the hand he tried to reach for, "Okay, then you will be my personal little brother, the kind who is responsible for leading the charge."

James shivered inexplicably.

To put it bluntly, personal assistants are cannon fodder, and Crabbe and Goyle are the best role models.

"Huh?" Alfred saw the small hole on the left side of Vincent's neck and quickly pulled James into his arms.

"Old Zhan, stop making trouble, there is a wound on Lao Wen's neck."

Vincent felt uncomfortable being stared at by his roommates.

He took off his pajamas and put on his shirt, and even raised his collar.

"Can't you see it now?"

The three of them shook their heads decisively, including Neville.

Normal scars heal and are difficult to detect without careful observation.

And his scar has not healed at all. Even if it is not bleeding, the slightly outward skin is hard not to notice.

"Old Wen, you should go to the school hospital quickly and find Madam Pomfrey."

"Yes, she can brew many kinds of potions, maybe there will be one that can heal this wound."

Vincent wanted to refuse, but then he remembered the werewolf that Hagrid brought to the school hospital last night.

It's already dawn, so the transformation must have been released long ago.

If you're lucky, you might even get a glimpse of her and get to know this true warrior who dared to demolish the Batcave.

After washing up, he went to the second floor alone.

There was no sign of Madam Pomfrey when she opened the door, and several hospital beds were empty.

After all, he is a werewolf, so he will definitely not be left outside.

When I opened the innermost door, I saw no one but a small pile of bloody bandages on the ground.

Woke up? And left?

Vincent felt very sorry for this.

As soon as he left the campus hospital, he saw Hermione running over.

After checking their eyes, they were all looking at the tall and lanky werewolf.

"He's in there?"

"No, there's only a bandage left on the ground."

Hermione also looked a little regretful.

"Let's have breakfast together?"

"good."

The two of them walked towards the stairs in tacit understanding.

The mode of getting along seems to be the same as before, but something seems different.

"I didn't do it!" An angry shout came from upstairs.

The voice was very familiar, it seemed to belong to Lupine.

"Who else could it be if it wasn't you!" Eerie and terrifying, it could only be Snape.

Vincent looked towards Hermione and immediately took out his wand and cast the Disillusionment Charm.

"Snape, you know where I was last night, I didn't have any extra time!"

"Hey - who knows what else you did before!"

The two of them pressed against the corridor wall and cautiously walked towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office where the quarrel was heard.

"I didn't do it anyway!"

"snort!"

Snape suddenly slammed the door and walked out.

Judging from his gloomy expression, there was a high probability that he could not win over Lu Ping.

Another warrior.

Half full after eating the melon, the two quietly retreated to the stairs.

"What do you think Professor Lupine did to make Snape so angry?"

"Definitely similar to tearing down the Batcave."

Vincent and Hermione suddenly stared at each other blankly.

There were many professors keeping vigil last night, and except for the drunken Trelawney, Lupin didn't seem to be seen.

Let’s make a bold assumption, what if he is the werewolf?

"Professor Lupine was not one of the four students who bullied Snape. He did have sufficient motives and reasons."

"But he is a wizard. I have never heard that werewolves can go to Hogwarts."

Hermione frowned, "I remember his Boggart is something that looks like a crystal ball. What if it's not a crystal ball but the moon?"

Vincent turned back and glanced at the corridor on the third floor, then looked downstairs.

After confirming that no one else was nearby, he motioned for Hermione to come closer.

"I'm only telling you this matter, but you must never tell it outside..."

Of course, the reason why the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was changed from Nagini to Lupin was not just because of Sirius's escape from prison.

On Harry's birthday, the looking glass given by Ron kept ringing.

It's not broken at all, which means someone with malicious intentions is nearby.

As usual, the Ministry of Magic found nothing in its investigation, and instead kept a close watch on the Dursleys.

Lupine was arranged by Dumbledore to enter the school to protect Harry. Even if he was a werewolf, he would not lose his mind easily.

Vincent's eyes suddenly widened, as if he remembered something.

On his birthday, Snape's gift was an advanced potion formula, a wolfsbane potion formula that could keep werewolves sane.

"What's wrong?" Hermione stretched out her little hand and waved it in front of his eyes.

"Um...I seem to know a very big secret."

Would Snape be kind enough to give him a hint?

He clearly wanted to use him to expose Lupine's true identity and finally drive his old enemy out of Hogwarts.

Just when Vincent was about to speak into her ear, there was a crisp sound of footsteps behind him.

The two of them turned around at the same time and stood apart awkwardly.

Lu Ping's smile was particularly intriguing, "It's you, have we made an appointment to go downstairs for breakfast?"

Hermione blushed with embarrassment, and Vincent looked a little flustered.

Lu Ping walked between them, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone else."

He obviously misunderstood, but the two of them did not take the initiative to explain anything.

Until he walked away, Vincent leaned against Hermione's ear again.

"What did you say!?"

"Only in this way can everything be explained. The real reason why the professors want us to keep it secret is probably because of this."

It's just speculation, but the truth is too hard for people to accept.
