Chapter 203 Buddha is not compassionate

"Amitabha, it turns out it's really you. I've been waiting for you for a long time?"

After hearing Tang Xuanzang's words, the old monk's eyes suddenly brightened.

After hearing the old monk's words, Tang Xuanzang was immediately filled with doubts. He didn't know what the old monk was waiting for him to do.

He couldn't help but look at Sun Wukong, and then turned his doubtful gaze to the old monk.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong just smiled coldly, with a cold arc at the corner of his mouth.

The old monk felt the doubts in Tang Xuanzang's heart, and immediately smiled slightly and opened his mouth to explain.

"You don't know something. I am the elder Jinchi of this temple. I have long heard that an eminent monk from the Tang Dynasty will come to Lingshan to worship Buddha and seek scriptures. When I saw him today, I was very happy."

Elder Jinchi said.

"Elder Jinchi, what are you waiting for this poor monk to do?"

After hearing what Elder Jinchi said, Tang Xuanzang became even more puzzled.

"To be honest, I know that the Tang Dynasty has a vast territory and contains countless treasures. I heard that Guanyin Bodhisattva gave you several treasures. I would like to pay my respects to you."

Elder Jinchi rolled his eyes and said with slightly narrowed eyes.

"Amitabha, His Majesty bought the few treasures of the poor monk and gave them to the poor monk. He cannot show them to others easily. I hope Elder Jinchi will forgive me."

Upon hearing this, Tang Xuanzang immediately looked solemn and said very politely.

Upon hearing Tang Xuanzang's words, Elder Jinchi's eyebrows suddenly condensed, and a look of disappointment and displeasure appeared on his face.

"Master Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty, I know that this treasure is very precious to you, but I have worshiped Guanyin Bodhisattva for a long time and just want to pay my respects. Could it be that Master Xuanzang can't satisfy me even with this request?"

Elder Jinchi forced down the dissatisfaction in his heart and spoke again.

Seeing Elder Jinchi's extremely pious look, Tang Xuanzang could not refuse, so he had to take it out and give it to Elder Jinchi.

I saw the brocade lanthanum cassock unfolded, the Buddha's light shining, as if the sound of chanting sutras was heard, and the cassock was inlaid with many pearls, chalcedony, gold and silver, etc.

The Buddha's light and the pearly aura were intertwined, instantly dazzling many monks and unable to open their eyes. Elder Jinchi could not take his eyes away, his eyes full of shock and greed.

Just when Elder Jinchi's eyes were shining and he stretched out his hand to touch the cassock in front of him, Sun Wukong sneered and put it away directly.

In an instant, the Buddha's light and many other rays of light dissipated instantly. Seeing the cassock put away so close at hand, a look of anger and disappointment suddenly appeared between Elder Jinchi's brows.

Elder Jinchi's first reaction was to snatch the cassock, but Elder Jinchi has lived for 270 years and still knows a thing or two about the power of Sun Wukong.

Elder Jinchi knew that he couldn't rob him openly, so he could only look at Tang Xuanzang again, planning to attack Tang Xuanzang.

"Master Xuanzang, this cassock is indeed extraordinary. I have never seen it before in my life. Can you please Master Xuanzang and let me take it back to admire it?"

Elder Jinchi looked at Tang Xuanzang with a pious and envious look and said.

Hearing this, Tang Xuanzang saw the pious look in Elder Jinchi's eyes and felt that Elder Jinchi, as an eminent monk, had made great contributions to all living beings, so he nodded immediately.

"Amitabha, Elder Jinchi can take it back to pay homage, but be careful not to damage it."

Tang Xuanzang smiled slightly and said.

Hearing what Tang Xuanzang said, Elder Jinchi was immediately overjoyed, while Sun Wukong shook his head. Originally, Sun Wukong wanted to see what the elder Jinchi was up to, so he just followed the trend.

Immediately afterwards, Elder Jinchi prepared a sumptuous meal for Tang Xuanzang and Sun Wukong, and allowed them to stay.

After eating and drinking, Sun Wukong and Tang Xuanzang returned to their residence. Sun Wukong said: "Monk, do you know that this Elder Jinchi is definitely not a good person. I'm afraid your cassock will never come back."

Hearing Sun Wukong's words, Tang Xuanzang showed doubts on his face and retorted: "Wukong, don't lie. Elder Jinchi is an eminent monk, how could he do such a thing."

"Besides, Elder Jinchi has already said that it is just a matter of admiration. Monks do not lie, so there is no need to worry."

Hearing Tang Xuanzang chattering again, Sun Wukong felt dizzy and immediately said: "Monk, shut up. Since you don't believe it, you might as well just watch."

Hearing this, Tang Xuanzang disagreed and did not take Sun Wukong's words to heart.

On the other side, Elder Jinchi put on the brocade lanthanum cassock, and his heart was full of surprises. Elder Jinchi couldn't put it down for such a treasure.

He even wore it when sleeping, but when he thought of returning it to Tang Xuanzang in two days, he was filled with reluctance, which kept Elder Jinchi awake at night.

Elder Jinchi thought for a long time, and finally a cold murderous intent appeared in his eyes. He took out an incense stick and lit it. Along with a black evil wind, a black bear spirit appeared in front of Elder Jinchi.

"I have seen the master, but I wonder why the master called me here late at night?"

The black bear spirit bowed respectfully to Elder Jinchi.

"Apprentice, this brocade lanthanum cassock was presented by Guanyin Bodhisattva to a monk in the Eastern Tang Dynasty. We worship it day and night but do not have this honor."

"I called you here because I want you to light a fire and burn the monks and their disciples who came from the Eastern Tang Dynasty to death. After that, my master will teach you more advanced Buddhist teachings, okay?"

Elder Jinchi said.

"Thank you Master, I will definitely not disappoint you."

Hearing this, the black bear spirit immediately said with surprise.

If Tang Xuanzang saw such a scene, he would definitely be shocked. Who would have thought that Elder Jinchi, an enlightened monk, would actually commit adultery with a black bear spirit.

And Sun Wukong knew all of this clearly. As early as the moment the black bear spirit appeared, Sun Wukong had already felt the evil spirit.

Sun Wukong was only full of disdain for the plans of Elder Jinchi and Black Bear Spirit.

Then, the black bear spirit turned into a black whirlwind and appeared outside the door of Sun Wukong and Tang Xuanzang's room.

I saw the black bear spirit using his magical power, and black demonic winds tightly wrapped the residence. He opened his mouth and spit out a stream of black flames that fell on the door, and the flames burned blazingly in an instant.

"It's only your fault that you two suffered such a calamity. I had no choice but to do it."

Elder Jinchi hid in the dark and saw everything the black bear spirit did, muttering to himself with a cold smile on his face.

After doing all this, the black bear spirit disappeared, and Elder Jinchi returned to his residence to rest peacefully with satisfaction.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong flicked his finger, and a magical force formed a protective shield to wrap himself and Tang Xuanzang in it, blocking all the flames.

The fire burned for a whole day and night. When Tang Xuanzang woke up the next morning, he saw that the house had disappeared, leaving only ashes on the ground. He couldn't believe what he saw.

"Wukong, what's going on?"

In desperation, Tang Xuanzang could only ask Sun Wukong who closed his eyes to rest.

After hearing Tang Xuanzang's words, Sun Wukong opened his eyes and a meaningful smile appeared on his face.
