Chapter Sixteen Don't Look

Almost at dawn, Yu Xing made a quick decision, glanced at the layout of the worship room, and immediately opened the door and went out.

He didn't know what had just happened or how long it had passed, but he had lost the memory of the entire night. Presumably Miss Yun had already finished whatever she wanted to do, and there would be no other use for her to stay except to be discovered by the residents who got up.

He had to go back to his room pretending to have done nothing before the residents showed up.

Yu Xing quietly left the worship room using the same method, stepped into the courtyard, and felt keenly that the atmosphere here was different from yesterday.

His eyes swayed and quickly landed on the well. He saw a large circle of water stains surrounding the well's mouth, which smeared a dark color on the ground.

Not only that, if you look carefully, you will find that the deep color is mixed with the crimson color of blood. Even the walls of the well are stained with some, and the faint smell of blood spreads in the air, adding an ominous feeling to the yard.

Farther away, there was a bloody handprint on the ground, along with traces of dragging. The well was getting closer and closer. Even from the signs of struggle, one could see the tragedy of the time.

Yesterday, the yard was full of weirdness beneath the calm, but today, starting from this well, the malice seemed to be gradually peeling off its disguise.

But, how could it be?

Yu Xing stopped trying to rush back to the house and looked at the well in bewilderment.

In his imagination, no one would leave this pool of blood.

He himself had no injuries that would bleed so much...probably.

Zhao Yijiu shouldn't be able to do that either. Apart from the weirdness of the deserted house itself, the four residents of the deserted house are not very capable. This can be seen from Miss Yun's embroidery hallucination. As long as they find a way, they can break it in an instant.

With Zhao Yijiu's ability to blend into the shadows, he could still run away if he couldn't be beaten, and he could even find him when he was randomly walking around, so he would never be so seriously injured.

Actors are even less likely.

So whose blood belongs to him? Could it be that the experience of a certain former lodger has materialized...and which resident's ability could this be?

"It's human blood." Yi Qing said quietly, "Fresh."

He slowly narrowed his eyes: "Yu Xing, this is not a scary scene caused by ghosts. I can still tell this."

Yu Xing frowned briefly.

Anyway, he was already far away from the worship room. It could be said that he had just come out of the room when he was discovered. There was no problem in being delayed for a while.

He couldn't help but get closer, wanting to see what it looked like in the well.

However, as soon as he touched the cold stone bricks at the entrance of the well, a chuckle came from beside him, and the wooden door opened with a creak.

Yu Xing turned his head and met the gaze of the actor who was leaning against the door frame with a strange smile. His heart jumped suddenly - he had forgotten a possibility. If he was not here last night, could the actor be interested in Zhao Yijius...

But the mark he left on Zhao Yijiu didn't move at all!

"What are you thinking about?" the actor asked. He had just gotten up without tying up his hair. His silky, unreal black hair fell down to his waist, making him look more like a woman than usual.

"The look in your eyes...seems to be condemning me. But I don't understand. I obviously didn't do anything to make you angry this time, so where does your vigilance against me come from?"

Yu Xing paused and raised his lips: "I'm sorry~ Every time I see you smiling, I feel sick to my stomach. So, please be patient with me, teacher. I didn't mean it."

"It's okay. But you seem to be troubled by something." The actor shook his head, with a hint of interest in his eyebrows, "Look at you, you look like you don't know anything. You were not like this last night. You almost

Let me die in bed."

"..." Yu Xing's eyes widened slightly. His first reaction was when the actor would say such words to disgust him. Usually the actor's way of irritating him did not include such explicit...trash talk.

The second reaction is, this sentence can’t be literal, right?!

It just so happened that his cognition was manipulated. Could it be that he really entered the actor's room last night and almost killed the sleeping actor?

Why would he take action?

However, before the storm in Yu Xing's brain came to a conclusion——

"What... died on the bed?" A gloomy voice appeared from high up, and both of them looked up, only to see Zhao Yijiu squatting on the roof, holding his hands on the edge, leaning out half of his body, with a look of surprise on his face.

Confused.

The structure of the wooden house is very old, and the roof is made of sloping wooden boards. If you don't look specifically, it is difficult to notice what is on the roof while standing on the ground.

He seemed to be injured, with a bandage wrapped around his neck, but his face looked good, his clothes were in tatters, and his muscular arms were simply exposed. It was not clear whether he had just woken up or had been waiting on them in an awake state.

Zhao Yijiu looked at the two people below him, pausing for a second especially on the actor's loose hair, and his expression became even weirder: "It's a little difficult for me to understand what you are talking about."

Yu Xing: "..."

Actor: "Pfft, simplicity also has its advantages."

Zhao Yijiu glanced at him coldly, feeling disdainful in his heart.

Even if his emotions are relatively indifferent, he is not a simple person. Even if he was once simple - after Zhao Mou picked him up, the various knowledge he instilled in him had already moved him out of the category of simplicity.

However, he would never feel that something indescribable really happened last night. Did the actor think that by deliberately speaking in that way, he would really think wrong?

Unless he is an idiot.

Zhao Yijiu immediately jumped down from the eaves: "Who died on the bed?"

"There's no one there." Yu Xing breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that he was safe and sound, but the blood stains beside the well were even weirder.

The information now was a bit confusing. Yu Xing asked: "Why are you on the roof?"

Zhao Yijiu: "...?"

He didn't answer, but returned a questioning look, and then said in a calm tone: "You asked me to stay on the roof to be on guard, Yu Xing, what's wrong with you?"

"I don't know what happened to him. He disappeared in the middle of the night, but returned to the yard early in the morning. He seemed to be very interested in the well." The actor spoke with an interesting expression, "Xing, you really want to see it.

The person you threw into the well?"

I told Brother Jiu to be on guard? The person I... threw into the well?

Yu Xing's breathing became rapid, and a feeling of suffocation emerged again.

So weird, so weird, so weird.

So many things happened last night, why couldn't he remember them at all?

Why is he the only one who doesn't remember?

Yiqing coughed: "Things seem to be getting interesting."

Yu Xing: "..." Oh, there is also a green-shooting ghost who I don't remember at all.

But the words had reached this point, and he had to take a closer look... who was down there.

Under the subtle gazes of the actor and Zhao Yijiu, Yu Xing leaned forward and lowered his head, his palms soaked by the water from the wellhead.

He immediately met several pairs of eyes.

Those eyes were wide open and soaked in the water. The head and body were crowded together, and they had completely lost the ability to move.

Miss Yun, Scholar Song, and the woodcutter...three people, three lifeless corpses, all were there.

"You have to come back to watch after killing me. Xing, you are in danger." The actor seemed very happy, "This kind of thing is usually done by a pervert like me."

"Did I kill him?" Yu Xing muttered.

In other words, he came out after entering the worship room last night. He saw the actor and Zhao Yijiao successively, and almost killed the actor. He also ordered Zhao Yijiu to go to the roof to guard and kill the three ghosts in the deserted house.

Then he disappeared for most of the night, and returned to the worship room just before dawn, and his cognition returned to normal.

Along with this, Yiqing's memory was also tampered with.

Then the child is left, has he run away?

But weren't these three supposed to be ghosts? Yiqing said that the blood on the ground was human and fresh.

At this moment, Yiqing came up and lay next to his ear.

"Shh... underneath these three corpses, there is another corpse. That one belongs to a human being."

Yu Xing turned around and saw Yi Qing's blue eyes standing close to Chi Chi.

This thousand-year-old ghost winked at him and said in a voice that only the two of them could hear: "But don't look. If you see it, something will happen."
