Chapter 1 War

War, war between humans and monsters.

Thunderclouds fell in the sky, and snake-like lightning roared wantonly in the clouds, throwing down showers of rain as they rolled.

Accompanied by rain and thunder, on a plain wilderness, dozens of female archers maintained an array, constantly firing arrows at a large number of monsters.

Behind the shooters, civilians numbering close to a hundred people were pushing several huge wooden carts, trudging forward on the muddy road.

There were some civilians around, leading cows and sheep, carrying chickens in their backpacks, and speeding up their pace with panic on their faces.

The dozens of shooters, all composed of women, successfully separated the monsters from the civilians, obviously protecting the retreat of the civilians.

The composition of the monster side is somewhat complicated, including a red demon about one and a half meters tall, and many living dead with pale skin and solidified scars on their bodies.

The living dead have different shapes, some are dressed as civilians, and some are equipped with the same equipment as those shooters.

They showed no fear and kept approaching the shooters without stopping.

The little demons hid behind the living dead, dodging arrows while pushing forward, constantly closing the distance between them and the archers.

Soon, with the efforts of the shooters, more than a hundred living dead fell on the path forward.

At this time, those little red demons had already approached the formation of the shooters, waving the sharp blades in their hands, shouting "jiiliguala", and accelerated towards the shooters.

The long bows no longer had the range to function, but the archers did not flinch. They quickly slung the long bows on their bodies, and then drew out their short spears from their backs.

The next moment, dozens of shooters suddenly turned into melee masters, shouting and launching an attack on the little devils, fighting with more than two hundred little devils.

After nearly ten minutes of fierce fighting, and at the cost of more than a dozen sisters being killed, the female warriors finally wiped out all the little demons.

Each of them tried their best to hold their short spears on the ground with difficulty. In the icy rain, the surviving female warriors knelt on the ground and gasped violently.

The civilians have long since left, and these heroes have successfully completed their mission of protection.

After a short rest, under the command of a captain, all the female warriors slowly stood up and prepared to catch up with the civilian team.

But at this moment, dozens of flames suddenly surged around, and in an instant, dozens of little devils stood up again in the flames.

"Devil wizard——"

The captain screamed to remind his comrades, and then he endured exhaustion and weakness and fought against the charging little devils again.

However, the killing speed this time was too slow. The little devil that could have been easily eliminated was already able to attack and defend against each other with the warriors.

After a while, the captain shouted something, and a moment later, more than thirty heroes and heroines, after killing the enemies in front of them, suddenly turned around and left, quickly retreating in the direction where the civilians were leaving.

There were only a dozen soldiers left in the field, with expressions of determination on their faces to cut off the rear for their comrades.

The little devils became inexhaustible, and every once in a while, dozens of little devils would be resurrected from the sudden emergence of flames.

The heroes and heroines' movements became increasingly weak, and casualties gradually appeared. Until only five people were left, a sudden change occurred.

In the battlefield, a bit of blue fog suddenly appeared in mid-air, and then expanded rapidly, eventually forming an oval fog hole about two meters high.

Seeing this, Ke Wen immediately turned back and rushed back. After taking a breath, he rushed to the vicinity of the female warriors. The scimitar in his hand once again cut through the rain curtain and slashed across the necks of the little devils.

After the female warriors thrust their short spears into the head of the last little devil, Ke Wen finally stopped.

While cautiously looking around to see if there was any missing little devil, his chest rose and fell greatly, and he took a deep breath with a clear and long voice.

Not noticing the missing little devil for the time being, Kewen turned his head and met the eyes of the five female warriors who had been sizing him up.

"Hello." Ke Wen was silent for a moment and then took the initiative to say, "Can you tell me what happened here?"

Kewen's words finally brought the five female warriors back to their senses. The female warrior who had sent a helping hand was suddenly startled and quickly reminded loudly: "Quick! Let's get out of here!"

The other four female warriors also showed some panic expressions, clenched their teeth in pain, and started to turn around with trembling bodies.

Seeing this, Ke Wen frowned slightly and quickly looked around, but he didn't find any enemies. Therefore, he couldn't help but asked inexplicably: "Why..."

Before he finished speaking, something unexpected happened suddenly.

Dozens of flames suddenly rose from the corpses of the little demons around them, and the flames seemed to be unable to be extinguished even by rain.

Soon, dozens of little demons suddenly jumped out of the flames, shouting "chirpy!" and then quickly rushed towards Ke Wen and the others.

Seeing this, the five female warriors who originally wanted to leave could only stop, turned around, and raised the short spears in their hands with great effort.

With determined eyes and a consciousness of death, facing the dozens of little devils surrounding them, the female warriors trembled their arms and prepared an attack posture.

Kewen frowned at this moment, quickly glanced at the female warriors who had reached their limit, and then focused on the little devils around them.

Almost instantly, he memorized the formation and position of the little devils in his mind, and instantly calculated the best attack route.

Taking a deep breath, he picked up a scimitar from the ground with his toes. After grabbing it with his left hand, Ke Wen suddenly dived towards the little devils.

Although he can ignore those five women, although he can easily retreat from this inexplicable battle.

But Kewen must repay his kindness!

Since he was rescued by someone before, he must ensure the other person's safety!

Ke Wen rushed forward very quickly, covering a distance of more than ten meters in the blink of an eye.

Passing between the two little devils, he waved the scimitar in his hands left and right, slicing across the necks of the two little devils.

Without slowing down, he continued to rush into a circle surrounded by seven little demons. His body quickly rotated, and a circular rain curtain was thrown out by the scimitar.

Four little devils had their heads cut off, and the remaining two had their necks cut open.

Ke Wen didn't even look at the results of the battle, and continued to rush horizontally, rushing towards the pile of little devils on the other side.

While marching, he kicked the scimitar on the ground with his toes, raised the scimitar in the air, and at the same time suddenly threw the scimitar in his right hand behind him.

Behind him, the remaining little devil was instantly penetrated through the chest by a flying knife.

Reaching out to catch the scimitar raised in the air, Kewen's speed did not slow down and he rushed into the middle of the pile of little devils in front...
