Chapter 2 PTU

"Brother Pin, the PTU is here. Is something serious going on?"

As a newly recruited police officer, Song Zijie naturally understands the significance of the arrival of the PTU.

PTU is called the Hong Kong Police Tactical Unit in Chinese. Members of this unit are drawn from various police stations, and their service period is one year. Generally, there are eight people in a group, divided into two teams, with four people in each team.

He is usually responsible for border patrol, district support, crowd control and other tasks. He showed up at the Wan Chai Police Station, obviously to provide support.

Zhang Pin frowned.

"Pushing, I might have to work overtime today."

He didn't pay attention to the arrival of the PTU. After all, he was just a patrol policeman, and no tasks fell on him.

Because two teams from the PTU came, with eight people together, plus the original reporting and reception staff, the lobby of the police station was somewhat congested.

So Director Huang, who was talking over there, immediately noticed the noisy people at the door.

"What's going on! What's going on!"

He immediately walked up with a frown on his face, a bitter melon color on his face.

What impressed Zhang Pin the most about Director Huang was that he had a "good gun". He had been a police officer for more than 30 years, but he had never fired a single shot.

The most amazing thing is that even though he has not fired a single shot as a police officer for decades, the other party has been promoted all the way up and is now a senior superintendent.

I heard that if he hadn't thought about retiring early, he might have become a senior assistant director and become a high-ranking member of the police force.

"Report to the director, these people committed murder with machetes on the street, and we caught them on the spot."

Zhang Pin directly straightened his clothes, stomped his feet in salute, and reported loudly, acting righteously, completely ignoring that if Song Zijie hadn't stepped forward, he would have selectively ignored it and left.

"What, committing a murder on the street, it's abominable, it's so abominable. Please lock me up for 24 hours first and wait for someone to release me on bail."

Director Huang also acted very angry, but in fact he had no intention of going into details.

This did not surprise anyone at the police station, because the director was very trouble-free. These four people looked like gangsters at first glance, and they were not in charge, so they would not have much merit in arresting them.

"Ah, by the way, Pinzai, come here and let me introduce you. This is He Wenzhan, senior sergeant of the PTU. I specifically applied to the above to support our Wan Chai Police Station."

"Hello, Sir He, my name is Zhang Pin."

Zhang Pin was very enthusiastic, mainly because his police rank was one level higher than his.

"Wanchai Gunslinger, I've heard of you, Pinzai, is it okay to call you that? You can call me Brother Zhan."

He Wenzhan showed a smile and acted very enthusiastic. They greeted each other, and Zhang Pin seemed to ask inadvertently.

"Brother Zhan, why did you come to Wan Chai to provide support? Did something happen?"

It's not surprising that he is like this. As a patrol officer, he patrols the streets he is responsible for every day and rarely visits the police station, so it is difficult to hear any news.

Hearing his question, He Wenzhan, who was originally smiling, suddenly stopped smiling and his voice became a little deeper.

"This morning, a group of robbers robbed a cash transport truck and killed one of our guys."

After hearing the news, Zhang Pin was stunned for a few seconds. He had some vague memories, as if this was the beginning of a plot, but he soon stopped thinking about it.

After coming here for a while, he gradually understood that the world he lived in was a great fusion of various Hong Kong movies, and things like robbing banknotes, robbing banks, and robbing gold stores happened every day.

It always appears once in a while.

He was in a daze just now probably because He Wenzhan's face was so familiar. The sudden appearance of the other person made him think too much.

After all, when he first met Director Huang, he subconsciously thought of Zhou Xingxing, and then his partner on the first day of work turned out to be Song Zijie, which immediately reminded him of Brother Ma.

It is precisely because of this that he does not want to leave the police station because the outside world is too dangerous.

So after He Wenzhan finished speaking, he just showed the same sad expression and mourned for the dead man.

"Pinzi, you captured these people. We took them away. If you have time, just record a confession and give it to us."

A fat plainclothes man came over. It was Fei Sha, the chief of the anti-gang group. They have always been responsible for gangs like Da Tian Er.

"Okay, Brother Tang."

He responded, said hello to He Wenzhan, and then took Song Zijie to dinner.

Yes, as patrol officers, even if they catch a criminal, they do not need to personally participate in taking the criminal's statement. Instead, they have to record a statement of what happened and hand it over to other departments responsible for follow-up matters.

There was nothing new in the afternoon patrol. Although there was a robbery of a cash transport truck in the morning, it did not happen in Wan Chai, so the two of them were not too worried. It is estimated that the other party would only think about running away at this time, and it could not be in broad daylight.

Wandering on the streets.

As for the PTUs who come to support, they mainly wait to replace the patrol officers in the evening after they get off work.

"I'll treat you to beef hot pot tonight."

Before getting off work, Zhang Pin suddenly said to Song Zijie.

"Hey, what's wrong with you today? It seems like this is your first time inviting me to dinner."

Song Zijie was a little strange, and even wanted to reach out and touch his forehead, but he naturally dodged it.

"Whether you want to go or not, you young man, I asked you to treat me to breakfast this week just to test you."

Zhang Pin changed his clothes, hung the gun on his waist and walked outside. Because of a robbery, he was specially authorized to be on standby with a gun today, otherwise he would have to go back to the gun room after get off work.

In fact, when he was patrolling in the afternoon, he was bored and thinking about what to do in the future. When he passed a hot pot restaurant, he suddenly remembered the plot of a movie.

It seems that the incident happened at night. At the hot pot restaurant, Fei Sha lost a gun.

It's no wonder that he only remembered it now. In fact, in his time, Hong Kong movies were no longer prosperous. He didn't watch much, and it was a long time ago. The only reason he can remember it now is because of some public accounts explaining the movies.

"Just eat the Shantou Beef Hot Pot. I had it last time and it tasted great."

The two of them walked on the street. Song Zijie, who had walked several times, spoke for the nth time, but Zhang Pin still didn't stop.

"Brother Pin, what are you looking for?"

After walking for so long, Song Zijie was a little confused as to why the other party only looked at the appearance of the hot pot restaurant, then looked at the layout inside, then shook his head and walked out.

"You don't know, I ate at a beef hotpot restaurant last time and it tasted really good, but I haven't found it yet."

As Zhang Pin walked, he started to make excuses. In fact, the real reason was that he wanted to find the restaurant where Feisha ate, but because he had been looking at it for a long time, he couldn't remember the details. He only remembered that the restaurant was very small.

"Brother Pin, let's eat in this restaurant. I'll treat you. Next time you find that restaurant, treat me to dinner."

After walking for so long, Song Zijie gradually came back to his senses. He felt that the other party was acting like this because he obviously wanted to eat beef hot pot, but he didn't want to treat him, so he used this method to treat himself.

"That's okay. Let's go to this restaurant, boss. First, 4 plates of freshly cut beef, and then 2 plates of beef offal."

Song Zijie: "...So I guessed it right?"

Zhang Pin sat down. After searching for so long and not eating dinner, he was indeed a little tired. He also thought that the person who died in the hot pot restaurant was a gangster, and the murderer was the robber who robbed the cash transport truck and contacted the escaped robber.

He shouldn't have gone there so early. After all, if he caught the killer at the hot pot restaurant and he didn't know where the other three robbers were hiding, he would become very passive.

Of course, there was no reason why Song Zijie was treating the guests. After all, it was just a hot pot meal. He couldn't afford it. Moreover, when the murder and robbery cases were solved, Song Zijie, a newbie, would still get some credit.

It's easier for him.

Well, Zhang Pin would never admit that he really never thought about treating the other party to hot pot.

I don’t know who said that there is nothing in the world that cannot be solved by a hot pot meal. When the two of them started eating hot pot, they ignored other things. Until the police sirens sounded on the street, Zhang Pin was still looking forward to it.

Watching Song Zijie scalding beef.

"Hey, hey, has it already been ten seconds? Take it out quickly and miss the best time to eat it."

He doesn't want to burn it himself, but he is very particular about how he eats it.

Song Zijie was obviously not as calm as him. As a policeman, even though he was only in military uniform, he still had a strong sense of responsibility, so he was affected by the sirens on the street.

"Brother Pin, I just saw Madam Zhang from Kowloon cid. They are dispatched. There must be a big case."

Zhang Pin didn't pay attention. He first took the colander from Song Zijie's hand, put a large portion of beef into his own bowl, poured the rest into the other's bowl, dipped it in a little sand tea sauce, and started eating.

"We are all off work. Remember, we are just in military uniforms."

This sentence brought Song Zijie back to his senses. As a newbie, he certainly has a passion for justice.

But from studying at the police academy to now officially joining the job, he has already understood that they are not in the same department or group. If you come together to help, others will not only not be grateful to you, but will also think that you are here to take credit.

If their mission fails when you are acting together, oh well, congratulations, this pot is big and round, please hold it.

While Song Zijie was meditating, Zhang Pin had already finished the beef in his bowl. Not to mention, although the beef was overcooked, it still tasted very tender after being dipped in the sand tea sauce.

Just as the two were eating, in an unknown alleyway, eight PTUs who came to support were standing under the street lights or in the shadows, forming an inexplicable pattern.

"I was injured in a fall. I fell like this and looked like a pig's head. Is that okay?"

Fei Sha, who had just been bandaged, had an angry look on his face. He completely ignored the policewoman beside him and wanted to leave.

"Feisha, where is your gun?"

He Wenzhan asked directly, and Fei Sha's movements suddenly stopped. He swept away his clothes and found that the gun bag on his waist was empty.

"Pounce on the street."

"Main station, main station..."

The policewoman immediately wanted to report it, but was stopped by He Wenzhan.

"I'm about to be promoted in one month."

Fei Sha looked nervous.
