Of course, the reasons why Confucius had this idea were very complicated.
On the one hand, with the collapse of etiquette and the destruction of music, the feudal princes frequently attacked and attacked each other. The country was not in the country, the people were not in the people, and the people were in ruins. Anyone with an ambition hopes to change this situation, and Confucius is certainly no exception.
On the other hand, it was the limitations of the times. In the Spring and Autumn Period, slavery had just begun to disintegrate, and the landlord class had not yet risen. Most people in that era could not get rid of the old systems, or ideas, that had existed since the Shang and Zhou dynasties.
Therefore, Confucius chose to deny himself and return to ritual.
But now, it is somewhat inappropriate to blindly insist on enfeoffment.
Fu Nian understood this, so he didn't think there was anything wrong with Yingzheng's abolition of enfeoffment. At most, it was just that his methods were too tough and radical.
But if you ask him, a Confucian disciple, to express his opposition to Confucius' ideas, it is obviously inappropriate to criticize Chun Yuyue and others.
His uncle Xunzi could criticize the Confucian schools mercilessly, but Fu Nian could not.
Firstly, his status is not good. As the head of Xiaoshengxian Village, it is not appropriate to take the initiative to make enemies of other Confucian disciples. Secondly, his status is not good. Although he has the title of the Three Heroes of Qilu, his prestige is not as good as that of Xunzi.
Much better.
Even if these factors are put aside, even if Fu Nian represents Xiaoshengxianzhuang and suppresses other Confucians, it may not be effective.
After Confucius, Confucianism was divided into eight groups, and the internal fighting was far more fierce than that of Taoism, but it was not as obvious as other Taoists, and the troubles were clearly divided.
Although Xiaoshengxianzhuang is said to be a holy land of Confucianism and an authentic Confucian school, when it comes to the degree of control over Confucianism, in fact... it's just that.
When there is no conflict, everyone can usually give each other some courtesy, but if there is a conflict of interest, then no one knows each other.
Fu Nian brought Xiaoshengxian Village to the end, which will not solve the problem, but will only intensify the conflicts within Confucianism.
Of course, it is not completely useless. When internal conflicts intensify, external pressure will naturally relax.
The imperial court can be much quieter.
Confucianism is regarded by the world as the study of saints. Although it does not have many useful things, its status has always been high.
Those Confucian doctors were determined to restore the feudal system. Although they could not shake the determination of Yingzheng in the slightest, they were sufficiently annoying and it was difficult to deal with them with too harsh methods.
After Fu Nian hesitated and thought about it, he decided to refuse.
Fusu, however, preceded him and reminded him meaningfully:
"Mr. Fu Nian, if you can't be loyal to the emperor, how can you talk about eating the emperor's salary?"
"Silence may be a good choice, but it may not be a long-term solution!"
The words on Fu's lips stopped again.
Indeed, Xiaoshengxian Village has been silent for too long.
Silence is a kind of self-protection, protecting Xiaoshengxianzhuang from the turmoil of the world, and it is also a kind of escape, escaping from the responsibility of being a scholar.
Confucianism has never been a worldly knowledge. It is just a helpless move done by Xiaoshengxianzhuang to protect himself.
However, all the facts show that the Little Sage Village has now been pushed to the forefront of the storm and cannot continue to remain silent.
And what Chunyu Yue and others did was, in a sense, adding fuel to the flames, adding fuel to the fire, pushing the entire Confucian school, and the Little Sage Village as well, into the abyss.
Not to mention that Chunyu Yue and the others had nothing to do with Xiaoshengxian Village. They were all members of Confucianism and they could never be separated.
It's time to do something about emotions and reasons, public and private matters, and thoughts.
However, Fu Nian still did not make up his mind and turned his attention to Xunzi.
This is not because as the head of Confucianism, he does not have the courage to make decisions, but because of such a big matter, he cannot help but be cautious.
As a great scholar of the time, Xunzi was knowledgeable and well-informed, so his opinions cannot be ignored.
Moreover, there are some things that it is really difficult for him, the head of Confucianism, to say, so it would be convenient for Xunzi to come forward.
Xunzi did have a unique vision, and he pointed directly at the core of the problem:
"How far does the young master hope that Xiaoshengxianzhuang will come forward?"
As a holy land of Confucianism, it is undoubtedly a good thing to talk about but not to listen to.
This is also the biggest difficulty for Fu Nian.
However, as long as Little Shengxian Village is willing to sacrifice this face and take action, it is only a matter of time before it can suppress people like Chun Yuyue.
But... to what extent?
Completely suppress the voices of Chun Yuyue and others advocating enfeoffment?
Or simply force them to give up and stop fighting against the empire?
What's more, do it even more brilliantly?
Different degrees represent different difficulties, and also represent the attitude of Little Saint Xian Village.
If Chun Yuyue and others were just told to shut up and give up, Xunzi felt that it would be okay, after all, what the other party did was indeed inappropriate.
Although Xunzi was dissatisfied with many of the empire's actions, he would not be biased towards people like Chunyu Yue because of this.
To put it simply, no matter who it is, cerebral palsy must be treated!
But if Fusu wants more, then... there is no need for Xiaoshengxian Village to enter the game.
There are some behaviors that Xunzi cannot accept.
Of course, he only represents his personal opinion. As the leader, Fu Nian has no right to interfere and will not interfere in his decision.
Fusu was not surprised when he heard this question. He never thought that he could easily persuade Little Saint Xianzhuang to join the game.
Especially when his purpose is not simple in the first place.
Fusu said with a smile:
"What I hope is that the talents of Little Saint Xian Village can put an end to this matter once and for all for the empire."
"I have told Mr. Fu Nian before that the reason why His Majesty the Emperor wants to share the same text is for the unity of the world and the unification of the world."
"The article is like this, and the country should be like this, so we must abolish the feudal system and promote counties and counties."
"Today Dr. Chunyu and others are still advocating the policy of enfeoffment, which shows that there are still many people who do not understand this principle."
"I understand their incomprehension, but I need them to understand."
"To achieve this, I think Confucianism, which is best at teaching principles, should be the most suitable candidate."
According to the meaning of these words, it is not as simple as asking Xiaoshengxian Village to deal with another branch of Confucianism, but asking them to find a way to support the empire's national policy of abolishing feudalism and promoting counties.
This is no small matter!
After receiving such a reply, Xunzi fell silent and looked at Gu Xun subconsciously, but Gu Xun just sipped tea, indicating that the matter had nothing to do with him.
Does this matter have anything to do with him?
Of course it does!
This move was actually given to Fusu Zhi by Gu Xun.
Regarding Fu Su and Gu Xun's solicitation, Xiaoshengxianzhuang showed a passive attitude on the whole. It did not reject them outright, but it was not proactive either.
As the saying goes, if the mountain is not mine, I will be the mountain.
Xiaoshengxianzhuang is passive in response, so we can only be more active on our own side.
Fusu made this request, on the one hand, to allow the empire to soften its attitude towards Confucianism, so as to prevent his father from being really cruel. On the other hand, he also wanted to take this opportunity to see the capabilities and attitudes of Confucianism.
As for solving the problem that some people still advocate the enfeoffment system, they are just supporting it. Although he is not as domineering as Ying Zheng, he does not think that a few corrupt Confucian objections can shake the national policy.
Ordinary people don’t care about this!
A few literati can scream if they like, so that such a huge empire will not be able to tolerate a little noise.
