Chapter 55: Going Home

Ronald picked up a drink and clinked glasses with composer Michael Gore.

"Ronnie, Robert Stigwood, the boss of RSO, has decided to release the soundtrack of the movie. You can hopefully earn college tuition."

"Really? This is really good news, and it's the same for you, congratulations!"

"You don't know Stigwood, the owner of RSO Records? He is a legend. A few years ago, as a record company owner, he successively filmed "Saturday Night Fever" and "Grease". The soundtracks of the two movies

The disc sold 60 million copies, setting off a disco craze around the world."

Seeing that he was not too excited, Gore explained RSO's background strength.

"That's really good news," Ronald whistled.

"Come on, let's take a photo." Ronald and Michael Gore took a photo.

After taking photos with almost all their acquaintances, Ronald and Antonia left the party. Antonia is a very self-disciplined girl and follows a ballerina's schedule every day. They sent her to her residence in Little Italy and the two kissed goodbye.

"Antonia, I will go back to my home in Staten Island before school starts. Would you like to play with me for two days tomorrow?" Ronald hesitated before leaving, but still asked Antonia.

Antonia was a little surprised. According to Italian customs, bringing a girl home to meet her family is a more formal act, which means that their families recognize the relationship.

"Is there a dance studio on the island?" Antonia still wanted to go and meet Ronald's family.

"Yes, you can practice in the dance studio where I am in high school without any delay." Ronald smiled happily, "Then I will pick you up tomorrow morning and we will take the ferry to Staten Island.

, you can play for 2 days.”

"Aunt Karen, this is Antonia. Antonia, this is my aunt, you can call her Karen." The next morning, Ronald took Antonia back to his hometown and formally introduced Antonia to

family.

"Hello, Antonia, this is the first time for Ronald to bring a girl home." Aunt Karen took Antonia's hand and led her into the house to talk.

The two have somewhat similar family backgrounds. They both come from lower classes and their parents are not around. Antonia didn't feel any restraint and had a long conversation with Aunt Karen.

"I still have to take Antonia to check into the hotel." Ronald booked a room for her over the phone. The shotgun room at home was really inconvenient. "I'll come back then. When Donna gets out of school, we'll go to the restaurant to eat together."

"Go and come back quickly."

"Okay. By the way, aunt, Antonia is a dancer. I have to take her to the dance practice room in high school. She has to practice every day. Then I can pick up Donna."

"That's not necessary. There is a new dance training studio in town, and their coach Teresa rented the house next door to ours. I'll give her a call. Antonia, you can use her dance practice room."

"You are quite familiar with her. Is she new here?"

"Yes, she started working as a waiter with me in the restaurant. It happened that Mr. Douglas Hansen, the old man in the town, wanted to prepare a ballet training place for girls. She used to go to a ballet school, so she applied for a coach.

"

After sending Antonia to a hotel in the town, Ronald returned home with her. Aunt Karen was talking to a middle-aged woman, and Ronald thought her voice sounded familiar.

"She is a student at a professional ballet school and can also demonstrate the movements for my students."

Ronald saw a woman with a ponytail talking to Aunt Karen about letting Antonia go to the practice room.

"Ronald, you are here, do you remember me? Theresa Kate." Theresa stood up from the chair and shook hands with Ronald and Antonia.

Ronald looked familiar to her, but couldn't remember where he had seen her before.

"On the ferry..."

"Ah, it's you, Teresa, I remember you. You have changed a lot." Ronald remembered. This was the person he saw on the ferry on Veterans Day, who had just been fired by his boss.

Wall Street Secretary, Theresa Kate.

Teresa no longer wears heavy makeup, and has also changed her tall career woman hairstyle. Now it is a refreshing ponytail, coupled with smart clothes, she looks like a ballet instructor.

"When I returned to Toteville, I applied for a job as a waiter, and happened to come across the restaurant where your aunt worked. She always mentioned that her nephew Ronald was at New York University, and I learned that you were Karen's nephew."

"I heard from my aunt that you are now the coach of the ballet training class in town?"

"Yes, Douglas Sr. wanted to hold a class for his youngest granddaughter. He always went to Manhattan and he was anxious when he couldn't see the little cutie. So I worked part-time there so I could make more money." Theresa Kate stretched out her hand.

There was an ordinary ring on her ring finger.

"My high school classmate David proposed to me." Theresa Kate said a little shyly, "We want to buy our own house and settle in Totteville."

"Ah, congratulations! Teresa." Ronald and Antonia hugged her respectively. In America, marriage is always a matter worthy of congratulations.

The three of them immediately went to the practice room of the ballet class in the town. Old Douglas spent a lot of money to keep his granddaughter, and the facilities in the practice room were really first-class.

"This is better than the fake training room on the set." Antonia smiled and whispered to Ronald. She went to change into her training clothes and started her daily exercises.

"Your girlfriend is a professional, Ronnie. It's more than enough to enter New York City." Theresa Kate saw Antonia putting on an arabesque and whispered to Ronald.

"I see you brought her back to see Karen. Do you have any intention of marrying her in the future? Is she willing to give up her ballet career for you?"

Ronald was surprised: "I do like her very much. If the situation is right, I would like to live with her. But marriage and ballet career will not hinder it, right?"

Seeing that Ronald had not thought about this question, Theresa Kate smiled awkwardly, as if she regretted raising this question rashly: "I used to be a promising ballet dancer, of course worse than Antonia.

A lot, so I know the hardships of some ballet dancers..."

Ronald listened for a while and found out that ballet is an industry that pays great attention to daily practice. Especially those dancers who join the dance company must go through very fierce competition if they want to be the protagonist.

In order to remain competitive, intense training every day is essential. Falling in love, getting married, or even having children are tantamount to quitting the competition for girls with ballet dreams.

"Don't ballerinas even fall in love and get married?" Ronald didn't believe it. Antonia also came from a lower class background and understood him very well. She should be a good match.

"Some of them are married to male ballet dancers, and some are single for life. The most important thing is that they usually give birth to children very late. They either withdraw from the competition for leading roles, or they only give birth to children when they become leading actors and are too old to dance." Theresa.

Kate simply told Ronald some of the things she knew and let him make his own decision.

"I feel a little cold, Ronald." Antonia stopped her homework, "Bring me the leg warmers from the bag. I'll put them on to prevent cramps."

Ronald opened Antonia's practice bag, took out a pair of long leg warmers, and handed them to Antonia. It was obvious that Antonia liked the pair he made for her and even sewed her initials on them.

af.

"Is this some new equipment? I've never seen it before when I was practicing ballet." Theresa Kate's eyes lit up and she asked.

"This is a clothing accessory I invented for movie shooting. It is more beautiful." Ronald introduced the origin of the leg warmers.

"This is really good. It can also keep warm and prevent ballet dancers' leg cramps when the temperature is too low." Theresa Kate nodded frequently.

"Did you invent this? Did you apply for a patent? Can I make some myself and sell them here?"

"My lawyer has already submitted a patent application for me. If you want to sell it, you can knit it yourself with Aunt Karen, or modify it with ready-made stockings without paying me patent fees." Ronald thought Terri.

Sarah has seen a lot of business operations on Wall Street. If she can bring Aunt Karen with her, she can also make some money.

"This is really great. I think this is a good invention and idea. Opening a store next to the dance school will definitely make money."

Ronald thought, "It seems that we really need to open a shop next to a dance school. Theresa Kate is the second person to say so."

"Do you want to open a store in Manhattan? Teresa?" Ronald asked.

"I have passed the age of dreaming. Now I just want to live a good life with David and run my own family." Theresa Kate shook her head, "I will not leave Toteville for the time being."

"Then let's make a deal. If you and Karen sell leg warmers in Toteville, I won't charge you royalties." Ronald stretched out his hand and shook Theresa Kate's hand.
