There are quite a few temples surrounding Zhusheng Temple, and they are only about ten minutes apart. The two of them walked along the path to Xuyun Temple.
It is on a small road in the forest and there are very few people.
"Xuyun Zen Temple was built by Xuyun's disciples on the original site of Dajue Temple. There is a Xuyun Memorial Hall inside."
The two of them went in. At noon, there were no monks or tourists. After worshiping the Buddha, they walked around the Xuyun Memorial Hall and saw several plates of fruit in front of the statue of the old monk Xuyun, with the words: Take for yourself.
If you are told to help yourself, just take it yourself. People should follow the fate. It happened to be the after-dinner fruit, so the two of them took a kumquat and an orange each, and rejoiced in the merit box next to them.
Come out and walk along the path to Shizhong Temple.
"Shizhong Temple was also rebuilt in recent years. There used to be more than 100 temples here, but almost all of them were destroyed during special periods. The 22 existing temples have all been rebuilt.
However, there are many monks like just now, and many practitioners yearn for Jizu Mountain, mainly because compared to other famous Buddhist mountains, Xuyun has restored the reception rules of Shifang Jungle here.
It is very tolerant. No matter what sect you belong to, you will be welcomed here. Basically every temple has guest rooms. In addition to receiving Buddhist disciples, there are also pilgrims and tourists.
Volunteers stay for free. Tourists can stay overnight for just a few dozen dollars. Get to know the masters in the temple and make a phone call. Tickets are free of charge.
So this is also the persistence of the Jizu Mountain Temple, and the tourism company is also very helpless. But precisely because of this, despite the widespread commercialization of famous Buddhist mountains, Jizu Mountain still maintains the sanctity of its Buddhist pure land."
Long Teng nodded. Walking along this way, it really felt like a leisurely journey. Although there were many people, it was not as complicated as other tourist attractions and temples.
"It's just that more people come, which really affects the practice, especially the temples next to the road. So although every temple has guest rooms, not everyone can stay overnight. Some masters are more insistent in their hearts and may only stay overnight.
It’s a destined person.”
"Um."
He Huan turned to look at her, "But don't worry. If you come to Jizu Mountain in the future, you just need to contact the master of Pangxiju. No tickets are required. You can stay as long as you want."
Long Teng also looked at him.
"But I still hope you will bring me with you."
Long Teng smiled and held his hand again.
When I saw the crowds of people on the roadside, I quickly let go.
Because it is right next to the parking lot, many private cars park here to transfer to sightseeing buses. Therefore, it is very busy with people and cars. After noon, another wave of people arrived.
The two of them walked inside, "Shizhong Temple is the oldest existing temple in Jizu Mountain, it is more than a thousand years old, and it is a Tibetan Buddhist temple.
It is said that a living Buddha came to Jizu Mountain for pilgrimage and fulfilled his wish. When he came down the mountain, he felt a little tired. When he got here, he sat down to rest for a while, then fell asleep and never woke up.
Later, people shaped the Sleeping Buddha according to his posture in meditation. Many lamas and believers from Tibet came to worship this Sleeping Buddha, and they also called this temple the Sleeping Buddha Temple."
The lama whom I met twice on the road met again here. He bowed to the ground and worshiped devoutly.
Other pilgrims voluntarily got out of the way.
Seeing the kind sleeping Buddha lying on its side, a child was surprised and said: "OH! MY GOD!"
The tourists around him all laughed, and the parents next to him also reacted and slapped him lightly on the mouth.
The monk next to the sleeping Buddha was not angry, and quickly took the parents' hands and handed them the incense. The parents were very embarrassed.
After coming out, He Huan said: "I wonder what it would be like to recite Amitabha in a Christian church?"
Long Teng laughed again.
"If you think about Journey to the West, the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother always invite the Buddha of the West and Guanyin to dinner. They have never invited Christ."
Long Teng couldn't help laughing and lightly hit his arm.
It seems that after finding a place to worship her mother, she is in a much better mood.
"This is the difference between monotheism and polytheism. In fact, Buddhism does not recognize gods.
"Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty" records that as soon as Sakyamuni was born, he went down to the ground and walked seven steps to the southeast and northwest. After returning to the starting point, he raised his right hand and pointed to the sky, chanting: I am the only one in heaven and under the world. From then on, people also called him Sakyamuni.
Ni is the World Honored One. This sounds very Long Aotian!
In addition to "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", there are many Buddhist stories with similar records, including Theravada Buddhism.
Because Buddhism has disappeared in India, and our Central Plains is also in the Age of Dharma Ending. So it is difficult to verify whether the Buddha actually said this."
"Don't I smell it like this?"
He Huan looked at her and said with a smile: "Sakyamuni was still a little prince at that time! He was a baby! The Tripitaka scripture records what he said after preaching.
This story is in "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", but not in the Tripitaka classics translated by Xuanzang. What he said when he was just born is probably only known to those who were present at the time.
It is precisely because of this that many people say that Buddha never said it. But their arguments are untenable.
If you say that it is impossible for someone to walk and talk right after birth, then it is a story that the believers and believers at that time followed after the rise of Buddhism. That is quite reasonable.
But many believers and believers are anxious, saying that the World Honored One cannot be so proud or say such arrogant things. We call him the World Honored One voluntarily, and it is not what he calls himself. The World Honored One is not exclusive to me, but everyone in the world respects him.
No one in this world can be respected by the world. How can you represent the world? The World Honored One is not arrogant, but this statement is quite arrogant.
In fact, other religions call God, Allah, but your leader calls him the World Honored One. Why is it so arrogant? Buddhism has always said that the King of Dharma is greater than the King of Humans!
Since you acknowledge that he is the World Honored One and his holiness, why is it impossible for you to say such things? Why can't you be proud? Also, why are you so anxious?
This is influenced by the excessive self-effacement of the Central Plains culture. If you are asked to be the boss, you have to be urged and invited. Anyway, it has to be in this form. It is embarrassing to be the boss, and everyone will not accept it. The leader they worship must also be
Self-effacing.
But Sakyamuni is from India! Nobility! Royal family! Prince!
And even if he doesn't have this identity and background, so what if he says so? Such a great person can walk when he is born, with lotus flowers blooming when he walks, and the memory of his past life has not been erased, and he comes with cheats and tasks.
He is not proud at all when he says this! On the contrary, those who say that he cannot be so proud are too hypocritical. This is not pride, this should be what he says from the bottom of his heart. I am the most powerful and greatest, and I am here to save all living beings.
of!
But after joining the world, under the influence of social rules, I had no choice but to keep a low profile.
Master Xuanzang was the first to translate Mahayana Buddhism and spread it to our country. He went to India to study. At that time, Buddhism was in its prosperous period. Since this story has been recorded, whether it is a legend or seen from other places
Yes, at least this story was circulated in the birthplace of Buddhism at that time.
Anyway, when every saint is born, he is accompanied by a vision. As a saint, it is not surprising for him to say such things.
But the mainstream values of the Central Plains are not accepted. Confucius also said that among three people, there must be my teacher? Laozi also said that heaven and man are one, so why do you think you are the only one in the world? In an era where great thinkers are emerging in large numbers.
So there are many eminent monks who understand it from another aspect.
This is not arrogance, this is self-nature. Buddhism is idealistic. It is said that there is one flower and one world, and there are many colors in the sky and the world, but it is ultimately false. As far as oneself is concerned, only oneself is real.
But this reality is also relative. Without the background of this world, you are nothingness. So it is called: me, name me, not me.
Buddhism is just like this. If you understand it in this direction, my understanding is probably to maintain the innocent heart when you were born.
When you were first born, you knew nothing about the world, so were you the only one in the world? But you started to get hungry and needed milk, and when you got cold, you needed to put on clothes.
When the World Honored One was born, it was spring and the flowers were blooming. The Queen walked to a carefree tree, and suddenly the World Honored One was born. He walked as soon as he hit the ground and said these words.
At that time, wow! The queen must have been shocked! All the attendants must have praised her! Then she would come to serve the prince! When you were born into this world, you were connected with this world.
What you see, what you hear, what you need, what needs you, all affects your feelings and thoughts. You are no longer the naked child you were when you were born. You have been shaped into such a person by the world.
.
You have thoughts, pains, expectations, worries, loves and hates. I think what the World-Honored One has witnessed and taught is to allow people to return to their original nakedness and simplicity, before they have anything to do with the world.
Get in touch with your true self.”
Long Teng looked at him blankly, and unconsciously held his hand again, always feeling that one day he would become a monk.
The female bodyguard looked numb from behind. How many times has this happened?
What kind of innocent heart does a carefree person like Xiao Bailong have?
"It is difficult for us to understand a person, so the joys and sorrows of human beings are not the same. Everyone is obsessed with their own joys, sorrows and joys, and insists on their own opinions. Buddhism calls it egotism.
But it is difficult to empathize with other people's joys, sorrows and joys. If I feel it, it is more out of grief or emotional support, that is, he is worse than me, and sympathizing with others can comfort myself. It is rare to see it from the perspective of others.
Understand his situation."
Long Teng held his hand and looked at him.
He Huan also looked at her and smiled, feeling that in this world, only Miss Long could communicate so deeply. They understood each other, and their joys and sorrows were connected.
"Although the sorrows and joys of ordinary people are not the same, the joys and sorrows are generally similar. Why we are happy and why we are worried can be used as a reference. That's why there are so many stories that can resonate with us.
You are an independent individual and so ordinary. But even ordinary people who are so similar find it difficult to understand each other, and of course it is even more difficult to understand a thinker.
The Buddha taught the Dharma for forty-nine years, and it was written down into millions of words. Before passing away, he said to his disciples: I have not said anything to you, so don’t use my words to deceive others.”
Long Teng looked at him seriously, not even looking at the road. Fortunately, He Huan was holding him.
The female bodyguard tolerated them from behind and secretly took many photos.
"This is very interesting. In short, Buddhism is probably the most confusing thing. Suppose Buddha said that I am the only one who is supreme, but unlike other monotheistic religions, he must ask you to do so, otherwise you will do so.
Buddhism can be understood from almost all aspects and then justified. Therefore, Buddhism has developed different sects. To this day, Buddhism still has sutra debate, which is to debate what the Buddha meant!
Maybe the Buddha was also thinking: What on earth did I say? Do they understand? If they don’t understand, isn’t it nonsense? If they say nonsense and then say it was me, then I might as well not have said it!
Therefore, if the words of Buddha's birth and death are not fabricated, they are in line with the convoluted theories of Buddhism. They also go from being self-centered to being selfless after seeing through the world.
But Kassapa still compiled what the Buddha said and passed it down. This is just like how we write and read today. Everyone has a different understanding of what the author wants to express. Everyone is plausible, but the author said: I don’t
Said so."
Long Teng looked at him with a smile as bright as a flower.
"It doesn't matter what the author means. The key is to see what the teacher means. So teachers have developed different sects, and the disciples debate all day long. What they argue is no longer the words of the Buddha, but the words of the master.
.”
Long Teng's eyes were filled with brilliance, and he thought it would be interesting to listen to what he said.
"So the Buddha did not set any strict precepts when he was alive. In fact, like Confucius, I just said what I thought, and I didn't tell you what to do. I even said later: I didn't say it.
Then, in order to get close to these great and profound ideas, later followers can only use the stupidest methods and use precepts to regulate them. We will stop what the world is addicted to.
Although Buddhism says that everyone can become a Buddha, only Sakyamuni is the only one who dares to say that he is the only one in the world. Others can only rely on precepts and imitate their behavior. Like Confucianism, many rules were developed later.
But I think that the lotus flower emerges from the mud and remains unstained, that is, it takes root in the world, connects with the world, and absorbs nutrients from the world, but maintains a clean character, blooms its own flowers, and gives birth to its own inner world."
The female bodyguard is numb. How on earth could a sea king like him say such a thing? He wouldn't be in PUA Miss Long, would he?
After passing Hui Deng Temple, the flat road ends, and a steep ladder climbs straight up in the woods. There are only a few people going down the mountain. Almost no people climb the mountain in the afternoon.
"The journey in the afternoon has begun! Along the way is Kasyapa Palace! Huashou Gate! Golden Dome!" He Huan gasped.
"Don't talk anymore." Long Teng opened the water bottle and handed it to him.
He Huan smiled and took the water, "Yeah."
After drinking the water, He Huan took Long Teng's hand and climbed up.
The female bodyguard looked up at the ladder. She no longer cared whether they held hands or not. She also wanted someone to hold her hand! Why did they choose to walk?
I turned around decisively and went back to take the cable car.
The two of them climbed all the way, watching the cable car fly past through the canopy of the trees, and then continued to climb with their heads lowered.
The fairy stood in He Huan's backpack and hugged his neck. It was so refreshing!
He Huan said: "Fairy, put your hands on your shoulders, don't put your arms around your neck."
The fairy let go of her hand, flicked her tail, and wrapped it around his neck.
This big scarf!
Long Teng couldn't help laughing, "Who told you to take her with you? I even said I left her at the inn."
"Then what should we do? Take her out, but lock her in the hotel every day. How can you bear it?"
Long Teng sighed, it was obviously his cat!
"What should I do if the fairy can't live without you in the future?"
"I asked you to come to me, didn't you always say you wanted to stay with the cat?"
Long Teng looked at him speechlessly, smiled, took out a tissue and wiped their sweaty hands, and continued to climb up.
The female bodyguard was sitting in the cable car, looking down at the people hiking below, and called: "Ms. Long has donated money to a temple that is being built in the mountains. There is no incense yet, only a few nuns."
"Ah! Has she become a monk?"
"No. Xiao Bailong explained a lot of Buddhist knowledge, saying that you can't become a monk just to escape reality. Miss Long seems to agree with what he said."
"Oh." Long Lin breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't expect that the little white dragon could have such effect! It scared him to death!
"Where is she now?"
"Ms. Long is still climbing the mountain. It's all steep stone stairs. It's about ten kilometers. We started early in the morning, so we probably won't be able to reach the top until dark."
"Ah!" Long Lin felt heartbroken.
"What about the little white dragon?"
"Little White Dragon climbed the mountain with Miss Long, carrying a bag and a cat on her back. Miss Long brought a carry-on bag."
Long Lin was both happy and worried. He was afraid that he could not accompany his daughter to climb the stone stairs for a day. She was really pious. Fortunately, she was accompanied by a tour guide who also carried the cat with her luggage. This tour guide was pretty good. She really wanted to give him a call.
Money.
The female bodyguard still didn't send the photo of them holding hands and hugging to the boss. Maybe it was just a mutual support on the way to worship the Buddha? After coming down from the mountain, the lady's wish was fulfilled, and the two of them returned to their respective worlds, right?
