Chapter 516

Chapter 516 Making friends everywhere

When he got up the next day, He Huan called Chengkong. The three of them took the battery car with the cat. The battery car drove to a row of villas below. The female bodyguard stood on the roadside and looked at them. She didn't even want to hide. She sat down openly.

boarding.

He Huan put his arms around Long Teng's shoulders, fearing that she would be taken away, and held her in his arms. The female bodyguard sat behind and watched them. This scumbag is so bold! Is the daughter of a rich family so restless?

Unrepentant!

When he arrived at the front desk, He Huan checked out of Chengkong's room, but did not return his ID card to him. Chengkong didn't ask.

The hotel sent a car to take them to the ancient city.

The female bodyguard followed them into the car again, and Long Teng said coldly: "I don't want to be in the same car with her."

The driver was stunned and said quickly: "I'm sorry, ma'am, please wait and let them arrange another car."

The female bodyguard stood outside the car door. The driver closed the car door cautiously and looked at her again. She was so well-mannered! Are you not angry?

Look at the young lady in the car, why is she so arrogant?

He Huan held her hand, and neither of them explained.

When they arrived at a breakfast shop in the ancient city, the female bodyguard also came in. The two of them turned a blind eye and ordered Chengkong plain rice noodles. After eating, He Huan asked Long Teng to find a nearby business hall.

Chengkong followed them silently and didn't ask anything.

The female bodyguard also followed them.

When I arrived at the business hall, there was a queue inside. When I saw them going in to do business, Chengkong was waiting outside obediently.

The female bodyguard was also waiting outside, looking at the two people inside. Are they going to change their mobile phone numbers and escape?

He Huan used Chengkong's ID card to apply for a phone card, downloaded several necessary software, and considering that he was hiking, he downloaded the map and transferred some money to him on WeChat.

He came out and handed the phone to him, "Do you want me to teach you how to use it?"

The female bodyguard breathed a sigh of relief.

Chengkong was stunned for a moment, and then realized that it was for him. He looked at his phone and then looked up at He Huan, "I don't want it." He even took two steps back.

He Huan smiled and said, "Chengkong, even when Xu Xiake came to Jizu Mountain, his friend wrote an introduction and the trustee took care of him.

Otherwise, how do you think he came to Jizu Mountain to stay at the Sidtan Temple? At first, he had to be introduced by others, and then he relied on himself. Now that society has developed, there is no need to bring letters, just use mobile phones to communicate.

The old monk Xuyun was begging for alms in Nanyang, and the domestic Buddhist community even wrote to him, asking him to come back and jointly resist the crisis. Monks also need to contact him!

Besides, your temple still has water and electricity, did it exist before? Since you can use water and electricity, why can’t you use mobile phones? We must keep pace with the times!"

Chengkong hesitated, "But... having a mobile phone and being in contact will interfere with my practice."

He Huan smiled and put the phone into his hand, "Let me give you an idea of how the sky is not responding and the earth is not working? Do you know there is a story?

A man fell into the river, thinking about the Lord, and waited for Jesus to save him. Others came to save him, but he refused. Finally, when he went to heaven, he asked Jesus: I believe in you so much, why don't you save me? Jesus said:

Didn’t I ask someone to rescue you? You refused!"

Chengkong looked at him blankly.

He Huan smiled and said: "The same is true for Buddhism, right? You save sentient beings, and sentient beings save you. Your mobile phone will not hinder your practice, it is just a tool.

I have stored the phone numbers of Master Yingkong and the director of Jinding Temple for you through the Jizu Mountain Management Bureau. There are also mine.

If you encounter difficulties, you can contact me and I will try my best to contact the relevant local departments to help you. You don’t have to worry about trouble. This is also fate.”

Chengkong held the phone and couldn't put it down, so he had to say: "Thank you."

"You're welcome. If you go out, you will meet more destined people. After seeing the prosperity of the world, and still devoted yourself to Buddha, then you will be indestructible."

"Amitabha." Chengkong put away his mobile phone and clasped his hands together.

He Huan smiled and said: "Take it out, take it out, I will teach you how to use it."

Chengkong took it out again. After all, he was a highly talented monk, and in this era, everyone had been exposed to computers. The Buddhist College also had computer courses, so just tell him the functions of those apps.

When he saw the money in his WeChat coin purse, Chengkong was stunned and said, "Donor, monks can't accept money."

This stupid monk! He Huan couldn't help laughing, "It's not much, just a little traveling expenses. As soon as Xu Xiake arrived at Jizu Mountain, the servant ran away with his money. All subsequent trips were financed by various parties, including the temple.

Xu Xiake also helped many monks. When he was at Caoxi Temple in Chuncheng, when a young monk couldn't read the inscription, he came to ask him and he helped explain it. He also helped the monk write a charity letter, which is a propaganda letter for charity.

In today's world, it's not easy to beg for alms. If you meet me, I will treat you as your alms."

Long Teng looked at him. A person like him deserved to have friends all over the world. He was indeed willing to help others and made friends everywhere.

Chengkong also looked at him, deeply moved.

"In the past, people were used to bartering, but now they all buy things with money. It's hard to move without money. So don't stick to dogma. Now society has changed.

The food given to you by others is also bought with money. If you accept the food but don't accept the money to buy it yourself, is it convenient for you to trouble the donor?"

Long Teng looked at him with a smile, and Chengkong was stunned for a moment.

"Old monk Xuyun asked for charity in Thailand. He used three hundred horses to pull back the money and materials he collected! Why can't you ask for it? As long as you are not cheating and can get others to give it to you, that's your skill!

As for me, I don’t believe in any religion, I don’t make offerings to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and I don’t seek merit. I just talk with you and am moved to admire your sincerity.

I can't prove three lives, nor can I prove that it doesn't exist." He Huan held Long Teng's hand, "Since you believe it, I hope you will go further on your own path and come to answer my questions in the future."

"Amitabha!" Chengkong clasped his hands together and put them away with peace of mind.

"Do you have a bank card?" He Huan asked again.

"No."

"All banks are closed during the Spring Festival. If you have a chance in the future, you can open an account."

Chengkong looked at him, "But I don't need it."

"What you need is a more convenient one." He Huan said, "You have read so many books, if you can really say that the goddess scatters flowers, a bunch of believers will worship you.

Just like us tour guides, we also make money by mouth. It’s just that I use the money I make to spend and enjoy it. If you can make money but not be tempted, that’s amazing!”

Long Teng looked at him speechlessly, he was really a devil! It was too difficult for a monk to stay guarded.

Unexpectedly, Chengkong nodded, "You're right, I originally thought about going to a restaurant to work in exchange for a meal if I ran out of food."

"That's a good idea!" He Huan admired. No wonder he didn't want money. It turned out that he had already planned this. "But you don't need to exchange for a meal. Labor is not cheap now. You can eat easily and earn money by doing odd jobs.

, the same goes for buying things with money. Money is also a tool. For a person with a bright heart, money will only give you convenience and will not hinder your practice."

"Amitabha, thank you so much, Bishop Shi, for your teachings."

He Huan said with a smile: "Come with me to Zhonghe Temple to see Master Wuti? Do you know him?"

"No chance to see you."

"It's fate this time, let's go."

He Huan didn't care about the shadow behind him, and the three of them took the cat to the cable car station.

Originally, monks didn't take the cable car, but you couldn't let the donor go up first and wait for you. Chengkong followed them obediently.

He Huan looked at Chengkong and smiled. A person must know how to be flexible but also be able to stick to the bottom line in his heart. This is also a kind of practice, right?

Walking to the ticket window, the conductor looked over and said with a smile: "Xiao Bailong! You really brought the monk here! Is this your girlfriend?"

“You are so well informed!”

"That's right! The news has spread all over the Yunzhou tourism circle! You took your girlfriend to Jizu Mountain! And you brought a group of monks with you! Everyone said you wanted to become a monk!"

He Huan smiled, because the phone kept ringing yesterday, they simply turned it off.

The conductor took another look at Long Teng and said, "You guys can go up there and don't charge me any more, otherwise the team leader will scold me."

He Huan nodded, stepped aside, and let the female bodyguard buy the ticket.

The female bodyguard was speechless, what's so great about it!

He Huan thought it was amazing! He didn't need this little money, but the key was that people were willing to give him this face wherever he went!

Leading Long Teng and Cheng Kong into the station, the staff inside also smiled and greeted them to get on the cable car.

This cable car is an open chairlift and can only seat two people. There are only a few people on the Zhonghe Cableway, and this is not the time to go up the mountain in the middle of the morning. After they came in, the female bodyguard also came in.

He Huan led Long Teng into the hanging chair, turned around and said, "Chengkong, please sit with this lady."

"OK."

Seeing what he said, the staff thought they were together and asked them to sit on the same chair.

The female bodyguard looked forward speechlessly. He Huan sat upright and put his arms around Long Teng's shoulders. Long Teng was also amused by his boredom.

The female bodyguard moved to the side, not wanting to be next to the monk. After following them all the way, and now like this, Chengkong saw that she was disgusted, so he also moved to the side.

The two in the front were hugging each other, and the two in the back were so far apart that the staff couldn't understand.

When they arrived at the station, He Huan led Long Teng off the cable car, and using the female bodyguard as a transparent person, he led Chengkong into Zhonghe Temple.

Master Wuti stood on the steps and said with a smile: "The donor is here?"

"Here we are." He Huan smiled and said, "Master Wuti, let me introduce to you. This is my girlfriend, Miss Long. This is Chengkong from Jinding Temple in Jizu Mountain. He traveled down the mountain and came to visit you with me.

."

"Amitabha!" After greeting Master Wuti, he led them inside.

After seeing the Maitreya Buddha at the mountain gate, Chengkong worshiped normally. After seeing the Guanyin in the side hall, Chengkong also worshiped devoutly. When he walked to the middle, it was not the Main Hall, but the Lingxiao Hall, which enshrined the Jade Emperor. Chengkong looked up at the statue.

The glittering Jade Emperor was obviously stunned!

He Huan looked at his expression, it was interesting!

Long Teng was speechless, he was so boring!

How could the female bodyguard know the fun in this? Seeing them wandering around, she simply stopped following them and sat in the pavilion, watching the scenery and waiting.

Master Wuti also had a smile on his face.

Chengkong turned around and said: "Brother Wuti, why is the Jade Emperor worshiped here? Is Brother Wuti a Buddhist or a Taoist?"

Wu Ti smiled and said: "Zhonghe Temple is a Taoist temple, but there are no Taoist priests, they are all monks."

"Why is this?"

"Just because it has always been like this, Nanzhao and Dali have all offered sacrifices to heaven at Zhongyue Peak, and the sacrifice is for the Jade Emperor. On the Jade Emperor's birthday, people also have to worship at the mountain.

We also worship Guanyin, Maitreya, and the Jade Emperor in general. On the ninth day of the first lunar month, on the Jade Emperor’s birthday, we also hold temple fairs and offer alms for free.”

"ah!"

He Huan looked at the astonished Chengkong, interesting! Interesting!

Without forcing him to worship the Jade Emperor, Wu Ti led the confused and talented monk into the backyard. He Huan and Long Teng saw the excitement and followed.

When they went to the quiet room inside, Wuti poured tea for them, and there was a copy of the Tao Te Ching on the table!

It’s interesting! Master Wuti is also interesting!

He Huan waited for their quarrel with great interest.

Sure enough, as soon as Chengkong saw the Taoist classics, he couldn't wait to ask: "Brother, I have also read the Tao Te Ching. I admit that it is very reasonable, but I don't think it is mysterious!"

Wu Ti looked at He Huan, "What does the donor think?"

Hey! Didn't they quarrel? No, debated scriptures? Why did you ask about him?

He Huan said: "Although it is said that it is mysterious and mysterious, and there are many wonderful methods. But in fact, the Tao Te Ching is indeed not mysterious, but it is really wonderful and realistic. It talks about ways to govern the country and the people.

But when he proposed this method, Lao Tzu did a lot of thinking and explanation on the origin and operation laws of the universe. At that time, it was very detached. Even today, it is also a very scientific argument.

Borrowing the law of the universe, that is, Tao, Laozi hopes that when the monarch governs the country, he will follow nature like Tao, govern by doing nothing, and follow its own laws. To say that Tao follows nature is to learn from nature.

Just like what is said in the Avatamsaka Sutra, the sun and moon are in the sky. The sun and moon bring light to the world, but they are not for fame and fortune, and no one can interfere with the movement of the sun and moon. This is the Tao!

This is very superb, but it is indeed difficult to implement it. People are complicated. Therefore, Taoist theory cannot be used by rulers. After rulers adopted more active and specific Confucianism, Taoism moved towards the path of cultivating immortals.

Zhang Daoling of the Eastern Han Dynasty founded Taoism, seven hundred years later than Lao Tzu wrote the Tao Te Ching in the Spring and Autumn Period. Therefore, although Lao Tzu is revered as the leader, he did not actually found Taoism.

This is fundamentally different from other religions, and it is also the fundamental reason for the decline of Taoism. Because it was not a religion at the beginning. But it has deeply influenced us for thousands of years. Therefore, Lao Tzu has completed his act of becoming a saint.

Moreover, Taoism transforms the virtuous into the ignorant. Buddhism takes the initiative to contact all living beings, lowers the threshold, and has many regulations for believers. Taoism relies entirely on self-cultivation.

A thing that relies entirely on itself will naturally be unreliable and will naturally disperse. Because for ordinary people, unified rules are indeed needed to form a sense of identity and cohesion. Powerful religions and organizations are no better than this.

Taoism advocates inaction and it is really difficult to become a saint by oneself! Moreover, there are differences between Taoism and Taoism. At least I have never mentioned the ghosts and gods of Taoism.

The Tao Te Ching is a sutra for entering the world, but it talks about the way of inaction. Buddhist classics are sutras for transcending the world, but they talk about the fate of all living beings. This is a two-way dialectic.

Although Taoism has declined today, Taoist gods have been deeply rooted in people's hearts. In fact, ordinary people cannot distinguish between Buddhism and Taoism, and they only worship whatever they think is useful to them."

Master Wuti nodded, "Yes, religion is a place that comforts the souls of ordinary people. We will do whatever the people want."

Chengkong still looked confused.

"In a few days it will be the Jade Emperor's birthday, the most lively temple fair in Cangshan. Chengkong, would you like to attend it here?" He Huan said with a smile.

"Okay!" Chengkong agreed. It seemed that his confused little mind was eager to see what it would be like for a group of Buddhist disciples to lead believers to worship the Jade Emperor.

Long Teng looked at He Huan, he was really bored!

Suddenly there was a commotion outside, and several monks were heard advising: "Donor, this is a place for Buddhist disciples to practice. Donor, please stay away."

Then a young monk ran in and looked at Xiao Bailong and Miss Long again, "Master, there is a donor outside who said that Xiao Bailong deceived his daughter and asked us to hand him over!"
