Chapter 2 Castle Labyrinth

As the flames receded, Zhang Lang came to a magnificent rotunda.

There is a circle of ten doors around the hall. Each door is exactly the same.

Zhang Lang was sitting on a gorgeous chair, wearing a strange bracelet on his hand.

In front of him was an empty round table. On the edge of the table, there was a number 10 pointing to him, indicating that he was in position ten.

In addition to him, there are ten chairs around the round table, but only nine people are seated. Counting clockwise, they are one to nine, and when they reach Zhanglang, it is ten.

On the left hand side of Zhang Lang, which is the eleventh or zeroth chair, there is no seat or number. There is only a huge grimace above the back of the chair.

Presumably, that is the ghost position.

Zhang Lang tried to stand up from the chair, but found that there seemed to be an invisible force restraining him, unable to leave the chair at all.

Looking at other people, it seems that they are making similar attempts, but they have not been successful.

Among them, a bald white man in position 3 even raised his hand, facing the opposite position 8, a ray of light suddenly shot out from his fingertips, apparently launching some kind of attack skill!

But this light was annihilated after flying out halfway, and could not hurt others at all.

At the same time, a translucent figure with an unclear face emerged from the ghost position:

"It's now between rounds. If you violate the rules when attacking each other, this is your first offense and you will not be held accountable. Don't do it again!"

This sudden appearance of a figure made the ten reincarnations alert, and no one dared to act rashly.

"very good!"

The figure nodded slightly:

"I think you all already know the rules, so I won't talk nonsense. Now, let's start drawing the ghosts for the first round!"

As he spoke, the figure snapped his fingers, and a flexible pointer appeared in the center of the round table. The figure made a fiddling motion in the air, and the pointer immediately started to rotate rapidly, then slowly stopped, and finally pointed at No. 7.

Bit!

This is the first round of ghosts!

Zhang Lang looked at No. 7, who was a black man with dreadlocks. He was wearing a vest with cut sleeves, showing his muscular arms. His overall figure was slender, and he was more than half a head taller than the person next to him when he sat there.

Standing should be more than two meters.

This figure reminded Zhang Lang of a reincarnator he had dealt with. At that time, I heard that he seemed to be a ball player of some kind...

After seeing that he was selected as the first "ghost", the black man had a smile on his face.

As the transparent man snapped his fingers, the figure of No. 7 flashed and sat on the ghost seat.

"Start the clock now!"

The transparent man pointed to the chandelier above the long table, and saw a one-minute countdown on it:

"Start hiding. In one minute, the ghost will start eating people!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhang Lang felt that the restraints on his body disappeared, and all the "people" stood up from their chairs and looked at others warily.

"Let me remind you again!"

The transparent man clapped his hands and said:

"This hall is a war-free zone in the castle. Attacks here are invalid. If you stay here after the timer expires, you will be forcibly sent away. You may not necessarily be sent somewhere by then! At least leave by yourself.

, you can still be sure that it is safe behind the door..."

"By the way, time waits for no one!"

The countdown under the chandelier shows only forty seconds left!

Everyone looked at each other, stepped away, chose different doors, pushed the doors and left the hall...

Zhang Lang kept an eye out and followed one of the reincarnators to open the door...

Although the mission states that this is a game about ghosts catching people, it does not restrict people from killing ghosts, nor does it stipulate that people cannot kill each other!

If possible, Zhang Lang doesn't mind being the second ghost!

But in the end, after he opened the door, he appeared in a long corridor, and there was no trace of the reincarnation person who walked before!

The time between the two of them leaving was only a few seconds. The corridor is very long and there are no doors on both sides. How could they run away so quickly?

Zhang Lang looked back at the door he had just walked through, intending to go back to the hall and take another look. Unexpectedly, after opening the door, he did not see the previous hall, but appeared in a strange room!

"It seems that that hall should be a separate space!"

Xu analyzed: "Even if they leave together through the same door, the reincarnators will be teleported to different places in the castle! And unless the round is ended, they cannot return to that hall!"

"It seems that the altar does not want 'people' to cooperate or kill each other!"

Zhang Lang frowned. Now he had no other choice but to walk along the path in front of him and observe the environment first.

Judging from the decoration, this castle should be in the style of the Western Middle Ages. There is no complicated machinery or electronic equipment at all. Except for reincarnations, there is no one else. It should be an empty city.

Moreover, the structure here is not like a building in the conventional sense. Each room basically has more than one door. Leaving from different doors will lead to different corridors or new rooms.

Behind the living room may be the kitchen, and opening the door from the kitchen may lead to the toilet. Another door may lead to an upward or downward building...

It can be said that except for some corners, the rooms here are basically connected in all directions...

This kind of design does not make much sense for the comfort of living, but is more like a design specifically designed to make people get lost!

That's right, this castle is simply like a three-dimensional maze!

Zhang Lang entered a living room, walked to a standing full-body plate armor, knocked on the thin iron armor, and then took the sword and shield from the armor's hands.

Although they are decorations, these weapons and armors are genuine.

As a "old master" who has worked in forging and machinery for more than ten years, Zhang Lang can see that the craftsmanship of this sword is very primitive. Compared with the steelmaking technology of the industrial era, the material is rough and rich in impurities.

The only saving grace is that it was forged with considerable care, and was tempered and sharpened. It was a good weapon in the Middle Ages and can be used for a long time.

As for the armor, Zhang Lang didn't want to put it on him. Firstly, it didn't fit well, and secondly, the clatter would reveal his whereabouts.

Passing through this room, Zhang Lang came to a bedroom. There were rose petals scattered on the huge soft bed. The carpet was soft and thick, without a trace of dust, as if it had been cleaned just now...

There is a small window on the wall of the bedroom, and it is dark outside.

Zhang Lang thought it was night outside at first, but when he opened the window and looked out, he found that it was pure black outside and could not see anything!

Zhang Lang stretched out his hand, but was blocked by an invisible force at the window and couldn't reach out at all!

This should be an independent space completely isolated from the outside world!
