Chapter 254 The McDoug Family

In the early morning, the snow outside the house stopped. Isobel just woke up and felt a little cold in the room, so she retracted her head into the bed. There were faint noises from the kitchen downstairs. The girl sighed softly and got up quickly.

Get dressed and go downstairs to help make breakfast.

"Mom, don't you have to go to work at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Maladies today?" The red-headed girl in home clothes walked into the kitchen and asked Mrs. McDougal who was busy preparing breakfast.

"My dear, today is your birthday." Mrs. McDougal signaled her daughter to wait a moment, "So, I took half a day off to cook you a sumptuous breakfast."

"The beef is going to be burnt!" When Katrina went downstairs, she smelled a faint burning smell and quickly warned.

"I'll do it!" Isobel sighed, pulled out her wand, and took over Mrs. McDougal's cooking work.

Perhaps, there is a saying that is right, everyone has their own strengths. And their mothers, in addition to being very talented in treatment, will always mess up other things, even if it takes a long time

I have practiced cooking magic for a long time, but I still can't cook delicious food skillfully.

Who would have thought that the director of the famous Curses and Injuries Department at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Injuries would be a complete mess except for treatment!

"Oh, okay!" Mrs. McDougal was a little disappointed, but quickly regained her composure, "By the way, I just counted the number of gifts. You received fifteen birthday gifts this year."

"Okay mom, I think we can open those birthday gifts after breakfast." Isobel directed the beef in the pan with her wand and plated them skillfully, while Katrina used cooking magic to fry them.

Eggs and fried sausages, and tomatoes and other vegetables made into a vegetable salad. Her cooking magic is not as skillful as Isobel's, so she needs to pay attention while cooking.

"Good morning, Dad." Isobel greeted softly as she looked at the photo of the young man placed next to her. The man in the photo was smiling at them.

"Katrina's home magic has improved a lot!" Mrs. McDougal did not hesitate to praise her. She had almost no talent in cooking.

"I've been practicing," Katrina said. In fact, she helps with housework at home, and their mother is busy at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries for a long time.

At breakfast, the McDougal family chatted about some interesting things that happened at school. In fact, the two sisters always made Mrs. McDougal feel at ease.

After breakfast together, it was time to open Isobel’s birthday gifts. Most of them were ordinary small gifts given by the Ravenclaw students. If you want to say whose gift is the most special, it is the one given by Uncle Mog.

The latest edition of magic books.

"I don't think many people at Hogwarts can understand this book!" Katrina took the magic book, flipped through a few pages, and couldn't help but complain.

Although she has learned some ancient magic texts, Katrina is not her strong point.

"There will always be someone who can understand it." Isobel put the magic book away calmly.

"Robert Hilliard, are you pursuing you?" Katrina glanced at the sender of the package, tilted her head and looked at Isobel and asked.

"Why do you say that?" Isobel asked.

"Intuition." Katrina looked at the beautiful pair of white gloves, raised her eyebrows and said, "He has a pretty good eye."

"What kind of child is that?" Mrs. McDougal asked curiously.

"I didn't pay attention, what's wrong?" Isobel handed the opened package to Katrina, "If you like it, I'll give it to you."

"Forget it." Katrina had no intention of taking it. After all, it was Robert's wish. If she used it, the poor guy would probably faint in the toilet from crying.

"Thank you, the hat is very nice!" Isobel put the black wizard hat on her head. There was a gorgeous evil woman tail feather on the hat. It looked elegant and very suitable to wear when attending a banquet.

"You're welcome." Katrina smiled, "Anyway, it's not me paying for it."

Mrs. McDougal looked at her two daughters and always felt that they were hiding something from her.

"Hey, Albert will actually give you a birthday gift." Katrina was surprised when she saw the signature on the package.

"Last time, I used a magic spell to exchange something with him." Isobel opened the package and was stunned when she saw what was inside.

"What is this, a wood sculpture?" Katrina asked puzzledly, "But it does look very small."

"Amulet?" Mrs. McDougal looked at the unicorn wood carving, a little surprised to see such a finely crafted amulet.

"Amulet? By the way, there's a card inside." Katrina reached out and picked up the card and handed it to Isobel.

Isobel glanced at the card and handed it to Katrina again.

"Can I read it out?"

"Well, read it!"

"Hopefully it will help you survive your impending doom - Albert Anderson."

"Misfortune, what misfortune?" Katrina was even more confused. Did something happen between them?

Isobel briefly talked about the rune stone divination last time.

"Although I don't want to speak ill of Professor Trelawney privately, many people say she is a liar. You know, divination requires talent, and Professor Trelawney obviously has no talent." Katrina obviously didn't.

Believe in Professor Trelawney's divination.

"There seems to be something engraved on it." Mrs. McDougal took the amulet, looked at it carefully, and commented, "I dare say that this kind of amulet must be very expensive. You know, the ones sold on the market are all

Liar."

"This thing works?" Katrina was dubious.

"It should work. By the way, this is actually carved from mandrake."

As a healer, Mrs. McDougal was also very good at preparing potions, and she quickly recognized the wood from which the amulet was carved.

"Is that the mandrake?" Katrina suddenly remembered something. Someone seemed to have stolen a mandrake from the Hogwarts greenhouse. Could it be...

"This thing needs to be carved with mature mandrakes, and the mandrakes at the school are not yet mature." Isobel reminded her aloud as if she had seen through her sister's thoughts.

"Also, this amulet was probably made by Anderson himself. He is very good at magic script and alchemy." Isobel pointed to the ancient magic script carved on it and explained, "As for the price, it is definitely not as expensive as your hat.

.”

"Albert Anderson? I seem to have seen this person's name in "Practical Potion Master" a while ago." Mrs. McDougal suddenly remembered where she had heard this name. "It is said that Anderson is a potion genius."

, the improved potion was praised by Mr. Dagworth."

"That guy is indeed a genius." Isobel admitted straightforwardly, "However, I'm afraid you have to ask Katrina for the specific situation. They are students of the same class."

"That Mr. Anderson was in the same class as Katrina?" Mrs. McDougal's eyes widened in disbelief upon hearing this.

"Well, he is in the same class as me and is recognized as a genius wizard in the school. Many people think that he will be the next Principal Dumbledore." Katrina hesitated for a moment and then said, "In fact, he has already done a lot of academic work.

The paper has been published in the magazine."
