Chapter 518

"Finally home!"

On a hot summer day, Albert appeared on Tibey Avenue dragging his suitcase. Looking up at the resident No. 19, he suddenly felt like it was good to go home.

After using the portkey to return to England, he retrieved his wand and other magical items from Mr. Bud Broad, declined his invitation to dinner, and hurriedly took a ride home.

However, Albert never expected that he would be rejected when he returned home.

The rest of the family didn't know where they were. Albert, who didn't have the key, was in a daze for a while facing the iron door blocking him.

Then, he took out the lock picking tool from the deformed lizard skin bag and picked the lock of his door.

Prying open your own door is definitely a very novel experience.

Albert threw the suitcase in the corridor, walked directly into the kitchen, took a bottle of soda from the refrigerator, and took a big gulp into his mouth.

When I returned to the living room to turn on the air conditioner, I found a note pressed under the remote control:

Albert, we are going to visit your Grandpa Luke for a few days, and we will take Tom and Sheila with us. If you come back from abroad and we haven't gone home yet, remember to eat on time and call us if you need anything.

—Daisy.

"Really!"

Albert turned on the air conditioner, lay on the sofa to blow the air, and prepared to sleep for a while, when he felt something was wrong.

The door is locked, what's the use of leaving a note?

so……

Albert walked to the yard, turned over a stone, and took out a key from the bottom of the processed stone.

"Forget it, the weather must have made me faint from the heat." Albert reached out and patted his head. He felt that he needed to lie down and rest for a while.

Using a door key is really not comfortable.

When Albert woke up from the sofa, it was already dark. He rummaged through the refrigerator, and finally had to ride his bicycle to a nearby supermarket to buy spaghetti.

Well, it's actually the so-called square noodles.

This stuff is not popular in the UK and can only be found in the corner gathering dust in supermarkets.

As for why I don’t eat instant noodles, I can only say that British instant noodles are really unbearable.

Albert made himself an egg and sausage pasta, and baked some bread crisps as an after-dinner snack.

After dinner, I called Herb directly and they wouldn't be back until tomorrow.

Nia was on the other end of the phone, asking Albert if he had brought her any specialties.

American wizard snacks, well, are actually pretty much the same as Muggle snacks.

Although I don't want to admit it, the life of American wizards is closer to the life of Muggles.

Of course, American wizards also sell some specialty products, but MACUSA strictly controls this, so their Wizarding Street is not as lively as Diagon Alley in the UK.

In order to bring gifts for his family and girlfriend, he specially asked Kathleen to take him to Wizard Street in the United States, which is also called the American Wizard Secret Exchange.

The American Wizarding Secret Exchange is located in a deep underground entrance in a narrow alley somewhere in New York. It has been expanded by magic. It is said that there are several secret entrances, all of which have been cast with spells to expel No-Majs.

Before entering, you need to get confirmation from the graffiti portrait at the entrance before you are allowed to enter Wizard Street.

It has to be said that American wizards are more guarded against No-Majs than prisons are against prisoners escaping.

After simply clearing away the tableware, Albert sat on the sofa and tried to get in touch with Isobel, whom he had not spoken to for several days.

Unfortunately, Isobel did not respond to him immediately.

After waiting for a long time, Albert could only put away the two-way mirror, take out Kathleen's mirror, and try to get in touch with the other party.

Well, he is just bored and wants to find someone to chat with.

Not long after, Kathleen's pretty face appeared in the mirror.

"Good evening!"

Albert was a little surprised. He just tried it, but he didn't expect that he actually got in touch.

"night?"

On the other side of the mirror, Kathleen looked out the window with confusion in her tone.

"Oh, I almost forgot, Britain is five hours faster than the United States!" Albert casually found a topic to chat with the other party, such as the possibility of making American mint into an ointment to treat skin rashes.

Kathleen on the other side of the double-sided mirror was stunned, probably never expecting that Albert would talk to her about such a topic.

She was actually quite good at potions. She quickly mixed potions under Albert's explanation and got an ointment to treat skin rashes.

"Is this it?"

Katherine looked at the finished product in front of her, feeling a little dazed.

Although she didn't know how effective it would be, the light fragrance still made her think that this ointment should be effective.

Suddenly, Kathleen wanted to hook up with Albert and ask him to help her research beauty potions that could maintain her appearance.

Katherine is also a girl who loves beauty. She knows very well that she is the most youthful and beautiful now, but her beauty is destined not to last long. Maybe, relying on Albert's talent, she might be able to do it.

If it succeeds, I believe many girls will go crazy because of it.

Of course, Albert didn't know what the American girl was thinking. After hurriedly ending the exchange, he took out Isobel's double-sided mirror.

"You're back from the United States, how is it over there?"

The girl who had just come out of the bathroom and wiped her hair with a towel sat down at the desk and looked at her boyfriend with a smile.

"It's not good. The magical society in the United States is different from other European countries." Albert gave Isobel a brief introduction to the situation in the American magical community.

"Where's Miss Kathleen?"

"Miss Kathleen?" Albert couldn't help but be stunned for a moment. He didn't understand why Isobel knew about Kathleen.

"Are you talking about Nicholas's granddaughter?" Albert's mind was running rapidly and he asked doubtfully: "What's wrong?"

"You don't know?" Isobel's expression became even weirder.

"what do you know?"

"Your gossip and scandal!"

As she said that, Isobel held up a newspaper. There was a black and white photo on it. It was a photo that was secretly taken when he and Katherine went shopping on Wizard Street. The angle was not very good, but the photo could be seen clearly.

of two people.

"This photo! It should have been secretly taken when I asked Kathleen to take me to Wizard Street in the United States to buy souvenirs for my family." Albert showed a look of surprise, shook his head and smiled bitterly,

"Having said that, American reporters are really disgusting. Didn't I just refuse their interview? They do everything they can to create a topic!"

"I think you'd better handle the interview with the Daily Prophet." Isobel suddenly reminded, "There are also rumors about you in France."

As she said that, she took out another newspaper and found that the person opposite the double-sided mirror was stunned.

The photo Louise gave him of her meeting and kiss somehow turned into a scandal about him.

"Not only that."

Isobel took out the Daily Prophet not long ago, and started talking about the topic of his liking for beautiful girls older than him.

"You know, this is just a way they use to attract public attention." Albert suddenly felt very tired.

"I know, I just want to remind you that you have almost been turned into a playboy who likes to ride on several boats by the newspapers." Isobel couldn't help covering her mouth and chuckled.

"Stop laughing, help me think of something." Albert slumped on the sofa and complained to his girlfriend on the other side of the mirror, "You definitely don't want others to say that your boyfriend is a playboy, right?"

"Who made you famous?" Isobel spread her hands helplessly, saying that she was helpless.
