In the Qingliang Temple Ru Kiln ruins, the excavated fragments pile up like a mountain. They are not just a few pieces, dozens of pieces, or even hundreds of thousands of pieces, but millions of pieces.
Among so many broken porcelain fragments, there are many fragments with broken feet, and many of them fit the three-legged washer type.
There are also foot fragments unearthed from the Ru Kiln site in Qingliangsi. Some of them are obviously from the three-leg washing machine, and the shape of the vessels is similar to some complete vessels unearthed before. Therefore, they can provide strong support for the second view.
But after looking at the above two views, we will find that the view that the Song Ru three-legged bath in the Forbidden City, the capital of China, was originally a result of the shape of the vessel being damaged and repaired is a bit far-fetched.
Because there is a difference between the remaining part of the foot of the Forbidden City's three-leg washing machine and the upper part of the foot of some unearthed pieces.
Moreover, the shape of the three-legged bath in the Forbidden City is indeed very exquisite.
Therefore, it’s hard to imagine what it would look like after adding half-length legs that extend slightly outward.
Therefore, Chen Wenzhe has a bold guess: Could it be that these two types of three-legged washing machines have existed at the same time in history? There are even more styles of three-legged washing machines!
He had done a three-legged bath with the three legs of the divine beast with the legs turned outward before, so now he was just making a batch of water drop-shaped ones to make up for it. This was the reason why he did the three-legged bath again.
However, the shape of the three-leg washing utensil is simple, and even the feet are nothing compared to Chen Wenzhe's clay figurine Zhang skills, so what he did was fast and good.
However, after finishing this batch of three-legged washing, he found that there was still some mud left.
Looking at the busy Zhang Gu, Chen Wenzhe didn't know what to say!
He had just processed some leftover mud, and this guy had made some more for him.
Although the quantity is not large, it is enough for him to make a large number of embryos again.
This is nothing, the most important thing is that this kid is practicing with precious high-quality kaolin clay.
Looking at the large row of embryos being dried, Chen Wenzhe couldn't help but smile.
He had previously made a three-legged washbasin because the shape of the three-legged washbasin and the glaze color were very classic.
Just make some now and play with them yourself, there is no need to do more.
But this guy Zhang Gu really doesn’t let him worry!
He can't make complex-shaped utensils, so what do he make now? Dishes, small bowls, and plates!
Looking at the dried utensil embryos, Chen Wenzhe chose to make some small bowls, plates and other utensil-shaped Ru kiln porcelain.
It's a pity that he has never seen the picture of the legendary small disc, or even the written description, otherwise he would definitely make an exact copy of it.
Now he can only imitate some small dishes of the Ruguan kiln type in the Northern Song Dynasty based on historical records.
This is so easy to do, and Zhang Gu has already made a prototype for him.
So after finishing a batch of small plates, he also made a batch of classic Ru kiln small bowls, especially the Ru kiln lotus bowls.
This kid Zhang Gu is too partial to science, so he can make some common types of instruments, but if he makes something a little more complicated, he won't do very well.
Of course, as a professional with a professional background, he can still make simple lotus bowls, and he can also make many kinds of lotus bowls.
However, although the shape of the truly classic Ru kiln lotus bowl is not too complicated, it is not easy to make.
Especially the separated lotus petals have the beauty of geometric shapes. If you are not familiar with it, it will not be possible to make something exquisite in a short time.
Chen Wenzhe had only let go of the Song Dynasty Yingqing lotus bowl for a long time. It can be said that he was very good at imitating lotus petal bowls, especially secret color porcelain lotus bowls.
Therefore, the Ru kiln porcelain he imitated this time was a bowl with a lotus petal and a lotus mouth.
The bowls of the Northern Song Dynasty are not simple. It can even be said that each bowl is a classic, and there are many imitations in later generations.
There are two styles of Ru porcelain bowls handed down from generation to generation. One is the lotus mouth bowl from the Wanwan Forbidden City, which is only one piece;
The second is that this Ru porcelain stamp uses an open-footed, slightly rolled-up bowl collected by the Forbidden City in Shendu.
There are two pieces of this kind of bowl, the other one is in the British David Foundation.
These porcelains are all used for palace furnishings.
The Ru porcelain bowl on the Ru porcelain stamp is 6.7 cm high, 17.1 cm in diameter, and 7.7 cm in full diameter.
Judging from its open mouth, slightly rolled rim, deep belly, and turned-out feet, it looks like a gold and silver bowl from the Tang Dynasty.
Inside its feet, there are five small nail marks.
It is a standard incense ash body. It is thin and light. The inside and outside of the bowl are covered with glaze. The glaze color is azure and slightly bluish. The color is elegant and subtle, and the glaze surface has fine cracks.
If you observe it with a magnifying glass more than ten times, you will find that the glaze contains sparse bubbles "as few as morning stars".
Such a beautiful little bowl is really not easy to make.
This time Chen Wenzhe did it with extra care. When he finished, he felt as if his body had been hollowed out.
Concentrating on making porcelain consumes too much energy.
However, there are still some plain embryos left at this time, all of which are plates.
Making plates is easy. Without even looking at them, Zhang Gu made more than a dozen pieces. If they were not glazed, it would be a waste, which would be a pity.
"Let's make a few more plates. Among your kilns, it seems that the plates have been handed down the most."
There seem to be more than a dozen Northern Song Dynasty porcelain plates from Ru Kiln that have been handed down.
The most classic one is definitely the one on the stamp.
That Ru porcelain plate is one of more than a dozen Ru porcelain plates handed down from generation to generation. The Palace Museum in Shendu alone has 4 pieces in its collection. The one on the stamp is the largest among them, with a height of 3.4 cm, a diameter of 19.6 cm, and a foot diameter of 3.4 cm.
13 cm.
The glaze color is azure and pure, with ice cracks on the inside and outside. The base is turned outwards, fully glazed, and fired with five nails. It is a standard Ruguan kiln utensil and is a porcelain for palace display.
Among the Ru kiln porcelain unearthed from the Ruguan kiln site in Qingliang Temple, there are several Ru porcelain plate remnants of the same size as this Ru porcelain plate and of different sizes.
After finishing seven or eight dishes in a row, Chen Wenzhe felt really tired.
However, at this moment, looking at the row of Ru kiln porcelain hanging on the workbench to dry, Chen Wenzhe really felt a sense of accomplishment.
The next time is to rest. After the rest, it is printing, engraving, glazing, and firing in the kiln.
On this day, after sending all the porcelain into the kiln, Chen Wenzhe felt a little empty.
But he couldn't rest at this time, because after firing in the kiln, he still needed to fire the kiln.
After so many days, he has become very skilled at doing such things.
When we arrived at the kiln, we looked at the situation inside the kiln through the specially made fire photos and found that there was no problem, so Chen Wenzhe could take a rest.
In this way, it is a busy night, and it is like this every day.
Because whether it is Ru kiln, enamel glaze, carmine glaze and other single-color glaze porcelain, it is very troublesome to fire, and others do not have very good kiln firing techniques.
The batch of porcelain he made were all of high quality, and he did not dare to risk firing them by others.
Therefore, he is now completing a series of tasks such as placing porcelain in Ru kiln, heating, controlling fire, controlling temperature, observing, adjusting temperature, etc. every day.
