Chapter 1110 Ceramic Treasures

How to express the grandeur of prosperous China?

There are some things that the state will not publicize because they are luxuries after all, not necessities of life.

Therefore, although many top-quality porcelains will appear on suitable occasions, the state will not publicize them.

certainly,

The state will not publicize this, but through some private short videos and on short video platforms, you will still see a glimpse of it.

For example, Chen Wenzhe has seen that among the porcelain used for state banquets, there is rouge water porcelain specially fired for entertaining foreign leaders.

There are also enamel-colored porcelain.

Not to mention anything else, it’s just a bowl cover for keeping warm.

It's the kind of image that looks like an upside-down bowl of the ocean.

Can you imagine that if you knock it once, it will make a sound like a copper bell?

Unless you listen to it yourself, you will never know what it feels like to have a "sound like a heart".

The top ten realms of ceramic production: as white as jade, as bright as a mirror, as thin as paper, and as loud as a chime.

If you don't experience these four sentences for yourself, you will never know what kind of state it is.

Chen Wenzhe is now well-informed, so he knows better the difference between ancient craftsmanship and modern craftsmanship.

The achievements of modern craftsmanship are due to historical inheritance, science and technology, and developed modern consulting and education, rather than simple accumulation of technology.

The ancients could only rely on accumulation of technology.

Therefore, ancient porcelain and woodware,

In terms of the level of handcrafting of lacquerware, the skills of some top craftsmen are higher than today.

There are other aspects, such as the raw materials used, which may be better than modern ones, but the processing methods are not.

For example, in terms of materials, those used in ancient times were basically pure natural materials.

Modern materials are basically chemical materials. In all aspects, modern materials cannot be compared with ancient ones.

However, it is just a grinding technology. The ancients used manual work, which is in no way comparable to modern people.

For example, Chinese red porcelain, if you are willing to waste raw materials and use ancient techniques, then ancient porcelain will be incomparable.

The first thing Chen Wenzhe made was definitely a Chinese red bowl. The shape of the bowl was simple, but the glaze color was really difficult to match, and it was even harder to make it well.

The first time he made it, Chen Wenzhe didn't think it would be too complicated, but he was making a famous piece of porcelain.

Many people watch the Spring Festival Gala every year, but this bowl is the most popular one in the Spring Festival Gala.

You shouldn't know too much.

But Chen Wenzhe is a professional,

So he paid special attention to the small bowl that appeared in the shot.

Moreover, he also knew that the bowl came from Zicheng, Qilu, and his hometown was famous for porcelain. He was still very happy.

In the Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Tiger on CCTV in 2022, this Tiger Yue Spring Bowl was particularly eye-catching in the circle.

This bowl was created by the CCTV Cultural and Creative Center, adding a touch of local style to the Spring Festival Gala.

This Huyue Spring Bowl, which is full of deep Chinese sentiments, takes the shape of a "Zhengde Bowl" and the background color of "Chinese Red".

It takes China's "Hehe" culture as the theme and "Hehe Tiger" as the main creative element.

It uses natural mineral bone porcelain that has won the national invention patent, uses world-leading technologies such as high-gloss lead-free glaze and high-temperature glaze color, and is made through six times of calcination and more than 70 processes.

The reason why this small bowl appeared was because there was a precedent in 2021.

On CCTV’s 2021 Year of the Ox Spring Festival Gala, a “lucky ox bowl” stirred the nerves of domestic porcelain masters.

In the eyes of others, it may be that the Spring Festival Gala has an extra creative gift.

But in the eyes of different people, what they see is an excellent opportunity to prove the strength of Zicheng Ceramics to the Chinese people and to make Zicheng Ceramics brand famous.

Therefore, the masters in Zicheng secretly made the determination to "make spring bowls in the Year of the Tiger".

Now, I got what I wanted.

The main element of the Huyue Spring Bowl is "Hehe Tiger", which is carefully and creatively drawn with six traditional auspicious patterns such as auspicious clouds, Ruyi, copper coins, ingots, bats and lucky fish, which are the most sentimental to Chinese people.

It expresses the best wishes for a prosperous year ahead, good health, peace and prosperity, and a happy homeland.

The two cute little tigers on the bowl wear the word "He, He" on their heads and hold money in their mouths, which means to suppress evil spirits and welcome blessings, attract wealth and blessings, protect peace, and achieve harmony and happiness.

The bowl has accompanied the fireworks of the world for thousands of years and witnessed the changes of dynasties. It has gone through countless changes over the years and continues Chinese culture with a poetic existence.

This Tiger Joy Spring Bowl will bring people more holiday blessings and confidence in Chinese history and traditional culture.

For such a bowl, the most difficult thing is the glaze color and decoration.

The shape of the bowl is Zhengde bowl, which is a palace bowl. Because it was a porcelain bowl fired during the Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty, it enjoyed a high reputation at that time, so it was called "Zhengde bowl".

Among them, the typical one with an outward rim of mouth and a wide and deep abdomen is called "Gongwan".

This kind of bowl shape has been made by Chen Wenzhe in China before, so it is very simple to make.

If it's a drawing, he can make one in a few seconds.

However, the quality of this Huyue Spring Bowl is different. It is made of bone china.

Bone china, referred to as bone china, also known as bone china, was produced in England.

Academic circles generally believe that the first British person to successfully produce bone china was Josiah Spode.

Before this guy, Westerners had always wanted to make exquisite porcelain, but they had never been able to make good ones.

This has been imitated for hundreds of thousands of years, and finally bone china was produced.

At that time, Josiah Spode directly mixed calcined bones with porcelain clay and mineral flux to become a traditional hard porcelain raw material, and successfully tested it in the early 19th century.

He then began to conduct systematic research on the formula for producing bone china. At the end of 1821, the proportion of ashes and porcelain stone was "standardized."

At that time, people believed that porcelain produced using feldspar as a flux and a blank containing 46% ashes was the best product.

The basic process is to use animal bone charcoal, clay, feldspar and quartz as the basic raw materials, and then use high-temperature biscuit firing and low-temperature glaze firing twice to make porcelain.

The two basic characteristics of bone china are the essential basis for distinguishing bone china from other porcelain.

One is that the bone char content is more than 36% (national standard); the other is that it is made through secondary firing (bisque firing, glaze firing).

According to the bone china standards set by the British, it must contain 30% tricalcium phosphate from animal bones, and the finished product must be translucent to be called bone china.

The standard for a beautiful country is at least 25%.

The invention of bone china is quite comic.

It started with Thomas Fry accidentally adding animal bone meal during the manufacturing process.

It was later obtained through continued research by Josiah Spode.

The earliest basic formula was six parts bone meal and four parts porcelain stone.

But later it gradually developed into 50 parts bone meal, 25 parts porcelain stone and 25 parts clay.

To this day, it is considered a standard recipe in England.

For more than two hundred years, bone china has gradually developed into a world ceramic treasure through the hands of generations of famous craftsmen.
