Chapter 1,182 is all the rage

Any type of imitation of fine porcelain cannot be made directly in one go.

There was a lot of waiting time, so in between imitating the Wanshou Zun, Chen Wenzhe could also make some other precious porcelains.

By the time the Wanshou Zun is completed, as well as the various glazed porcelain mothers and the Bailu Zun, several other porcelains should also be made.

Chen Wenzhe's skills have reached the current level, and he can no longer improve his skills by making some ordinary porcelain.

Therefore, he planned to make the top ten classic treasures circulated in the country.

I heard that each of these ten pieces of porcelain is exquisite and rare to see!

Now that he had made ten major porcelain vases and one of the ten national treasure-level porcelains, Chen Wenzhe simply drew the designs of all ten national treasure-level porcelains and planned to imitate them all.

If he can imitate these ten pieces of porcelain well, then he will have almost mastered the art of making porcelain masters.

Because these ten pieces of porcelain involve too much craftsmanship.

For example, the first porcelain children's pillow, which we often call "children's pillow".

What kind of porcelain is this? As the name suggests, this is a style of porcelain pillow. The most exquisite ones are fired in Ding kiln and Jingzhen kiln.

When talking about the porcelain pillows of the Song Dynasty, we cannot fail to mention the "only remaining in the country" Ding kiln children's pillow in the Palace Museum, because it is a classic in the history of Chinese ceramics.

Ding kiln is a major porcelain kiln system that emerged after the Xing kiln white porcelain in the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the six major kiln systems in the Song Dynasty.

Ding kiln is famous for its white porcelain. This Ding kiln white glaze child pillow is unique and creates the image of a lively and lovely boy lying prone on the couch.

With the child's back as a pillow, the child's arms are crossed, his head is resting on it, his buttocks are bulging, and his two little feet are stacked on top of each other, looking relaxed and contented.

The detailed depiction is both realistic and vivid. The child has beautiful features, round and energetic eyes, and two locks of childish hair on both sides of the chubby face.

It is wearing a printed robe, a waistcoat, trousers, soft boots, and a hydrangea in its hand. The pattern is clear and the clothes are smooth.

The base of the pillow is a bed, and the couch is oblong in shape. There are begonia-style consecrations on all sides, and the inside and outside of the consecration are stenciled with patterns such as Chilong and Ruyi cloud heads.

The base is unglazed and has two ventilation holes.

The overall lines of this pillow are soft and smooth, with both practical and appreciation value.

The Palace Museum has appraised it as: "The Ding kiln child pillow is the only one left in the country. The statue is lifelike. It is a masterpiece of Ding ware and is positioned as Grade A."

And this is not to mention the glaze color. The glaze color of Ding kiln white porcelain is crystal clear and bright, the texture is hard and fine, and the degree of porcelain is high.

A high degree of porcelain means a high degree of vitrification, so it will naturally be smooth and shiny, and it will naturally look good.

The glaze color is beautiful and the shape of the vessel is more unique. How could a porcelain such as a child pillow not be a treasure?

If you want to make Ding kiln porcelain such as children's porcelain pillow, you must understand Ding kiln craftsmanship.

Ding kiln is the center of white porcelain in northern China. It started in the Tang Dynasty and was the successor of Xing kiln. It was developed during the Five Dynasties period.

In the past, most documents recorded that the kiln site was in Zhengding, Bei Ha. In 1938, the ancient kiln site was discovered in Jianci Village, Bei Ha Province.

In recent years, there have been many excavations and surveys, and it has been discovered that the bottom layer contains fragments from the late Tang Dynasty;

The middle layer was mass-produced in the Five Dynasties; the top layer is a thin porcelain plate with prints and flowers, which belongs to the Zhenghe and Xuanhe years after the mid-Northern Song Dynasty.

These thin porcelain pieces have firm texture, shiny glaze, and beautiful patterns. They are indeed a very sophisticated variety;

And some of them are of an official kiln nature, as evidenced by the discovery of fragments of inscriptions on the bodies such as "Shang Shi Bureau, Jin Yuan, Feng Hua, Guan".

In addition, the accumulation of coarse porcelain shards found at the Xiyanshan site, as well as Ding kiln porcelain and fragments commonly found in various places, can also prove that Ding kiln also fired a large number of porcelain for folk use after the early Northern Song Dynasty.

The main products of Ding kiln are white porcelain, but also other precious varieties such as sauce, red, and black porcelain.

For example, black glaze (black set), purple glaze (purple set), green glaze (green set), red glaze (red set), etc. are all covered with a layer of high-temperature colored glaze on the white porcelain body.

"Gui Qian Zhi" written by Liu Qi of the Yuan Dynasty said, "The color of the flower porcelain Ou in Dingzhou is the whitest in the world."

It can be seen that Ding kiln ware was not only deeply loved by people at that time, but also had a large output.

When the great poet Su Dongpo of the Song Dynasty was in Dingzhou, he once used the poem "Dingzhou flower porcelain is carved with red jade" to praise the splendor and color of Ding kiln porcelain.

Ding Kiln can be divided into North Ding and South Ding.

Before the Southern Song Dynasty, the Ding kiln was located in Dingzhou in the north, and the items fired at this time were called Beiding;

After the Song Dynasty moved south, some of the Ding kiln workers went to Jingzhen and some to Jizhou, which was called Nanding.

The glaze produced in jdz has a pink-like color, also known as powder setting.

Through the unremitting efforts of several generations of scholars, many varieties of Ding kiln have been recognized by the academic community.

Among them, there are common white glaze, yellow glaze, brown glaze, black glaze, purple glaze, red glaze and green glaze.

In addition to these, there are also some unknown ones, such as golden flowers, partridge spots, added colors, etc.

There are also some with unique craftsmanship, such as white glaze engraving and printing, black glaze with white flowers, brown glaze engraving and printing, black glaze engraving and printing, white glaze inscription with yellow flowers, inner and outer engraving, inner and outer scratching, inner and outer printing, outer engraving and inner printing

.

Then there are the ones with special mouth edges, such as white glaze sauce mouth and black glaze sauce mouth.

Finally, there are some bean green ground with white flowers, white ground with black glaze flowers, Tang Sancai, brown glaze with flowers, white glaze with black flowers, green glaze with white flowers, white glaze with black flowers...

Over the years, many remains have been discovered through site inspections, such as imitation jun, twisted tires, twisted glazes, plain porcelain, Song three-color pottery, imitation Liao three-color pottery, etc.

Chen Wenzhe has come into contact with many of these, such as Baiding, Hongding, Jiaotai, Sancai pottery, etc.

It is because of so many varieties that Ding Kiln has gradually become more and more prosperous.

In the Northern Song Dynasty, Ding kiln reached its peak period, and there were many creations and advancements in porcelain making technology.

Therefore, due to its excellent porcelain quality, elegant color and beautiful decoration, Ding kiln was selected by the Song Dynasty government as porcelain for the palace, which greatly increased its value and made its products popular.

Due to the popularity and popularity of Ding kiln, its shape, decoration, and firing methods were imitated by porcelain kilns from all over the world.

During the Northern Song Dynasty, various places imitated Ding kilns. However, although the Ding kiln kilns in the north imitated the porcelain making style of Ding kilns, they generally did not use the over-firing process.

Especially after the Song Dynasty moved south, some Ding kiln craftsmen also moved south, so imitations of Ding kiln porcelain were fired at kiln entrances such as Jingzhen.

This gave birth to "Tuding", "Xinding", "Beiding", "Nanding", "Funding" and other imitation wares.

However, due to differences in region and firing conditions, these imitation fired varieties still have their own different styles and characteristics.

Rujingzhen's imitation glaze has a pink color, so it is called "fending";

The fetal soil of "Tuding" is thicker, the fetal bones are thicker, the glaze color is yellower, and there are flakes on the glaze surface;

The firing temperature of "Nam Dinh" is slightly higher, so the glass quality of the glaze is stronger, and the glaze color also flashes cyan in white.

Almost all imitation Ding porcelain products have three basic glaze characteristics of Beiding: "ivory white" glaze, "wax tear marks" and "bamboo silk brush marks".
