Chapter 1,280 Dignified and magnificent, magnificent and brilliant

The side of this multi-treasure box is glazed with sky blue enamel, and painted with colorful glazes on the side, which are the auspicious Eight Treasures patterns of an umbrella, a long plate, a conch, a lotus, a vase, Pisces, and a white lid.

Respectively symbolizes eternal life, twists and turns of all living beings, everything is transparent, wonderful sound is auspicious, transcendent and extraordinary, perfect blessing and wisdom, freedom and eternal life, and all-over pure karma.

The bottom of the box has four legs in the shape of an auspicious cloud, and the four characters "Made in the Qianlong Year" are engraved in the center of the bottom.

Why did Chen Wenzhe make such a box? And why do you think this work is very special?

That’s because the biggest charm of the Duobao Box lies in its ingenious mechanism design.

For example, the four gold-plated auspicious clouds decorated on the shoulders hide a secret. Pull out two of them, and the treasure box can be opened from the side, revealing the swastika pattern engraved on the lotus platform.

Emperor Qianlong always liked to create strange and ingenious works, and the craftsmen racked their brains in order to win the emperor's favor.

This has also given birth to all kinds of exquisite works of art.

This box is made using the filigree enamel technique that reached its peak during the Qianlong period.

The shape is light and elegant, and the decoration is precise and meticulous.

There are hidden mechanisms inside, which are ingenious and interesting. They should have been used by the Qing Dynasty at that time, and are of great artistic and humanistic value.

After making this piece, Chen Wenzhe could clearly feel that his skills were improving rapidly.

He was able to make a treasure box that he had never made before with ease and speed. If his skills hadn't improved, he wouldn't have been able to make it so skillfully.

"Make one more!"

What I made this time was still a box, and it was a box hidden abroad.

Of course, it can't be compared with the treasure box, but it is also a rare copper body enamelware.

It was a bronze cloisonné enamel buffalo-shaped lid box from the Qing Dynasty to the 18th century, 175 centimeters long.

It turned out to be something collected by the little devil, and was later put up for auction.

This copper-embedded cloisonné enamel lid box is in the shape of a buffalo in a kneeling position.

The two corners are hooked backward, both eyes are looking forward, and the back is flapped;

The whole body is decorated with lotus and animal mask patterns, simple and elegant, with bright colors;

The buffalo has a plump and round shape, a lifelike head, long ears and short limbs, making it extremely cute.

This is also a very ingenious interior decoration, which is extremely rare.

After making two boxes, Chen Wenzhe stopped. This time he planned to make an incense burner.

There are many incense burners left over from the Qing Dynasty, but there are not many copper-body filigree enamel incense burners.

Of course, this is relative. Compared with other types of copper-embedded filigree enamel, incense burners have the most.

And the large number just proves the classicness of this type of vessel!

During the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi and Qianlong reigns produced the most copper-bodied filigree enamel incense burners.

After thinking about it, Chen Wenzhe first made a Qianlong one.

This time I made a pair of Qianlong copper-embedded filigree enamel elephant-foot incense burners with entwined branches and lotus patterns.

The fumigator, also known as the incense burner and the fumigation cage, is used to light fumigation materials to drive away mosquitoes.

The enamel wares of the Qianlong period were mainly made of cloisonné enamel, with exquisite craftsmanship and a luxurious and noble royal charm.

This type of covered furnace is often a palace furnishing and practical device. It is usually placed under the majesty on both sides of the hall to burn incense and beautify the hall.

The carcass of this pair of incense burners with a height of 253 cm is very simple to make, but the most troublesome part is the filigree enamel process.

This pair of smoker dividers has two parts and a regular shape;

The cover is raised, with gilt carvings and withered branches and rolled grass as the ground.

The same style hollow button is placed on the top of the lid; the furnace body is open, has a deep belly and has a round bottom, and is decorated with gilt copper elephant heads and ears on both sides, making it dignified and elegant;

The belly carries the elephant head and three legs, and the ears, feet and elephant head are all carefully crafted.

In particular, the feet are like heads, and the face is decorated with a bridle, which is intricate and gorgeous. Set off against the colorful gilt material, it is bright and dazzling, exquisite and beautiful.

The shape of the elephant holding a vase symbolizes peace and prosperity in the world.

The craftsmanship has reached this stage and is already very exquisite, but it is still a cloisonné enamelware.

Therefore, the body of the vessel is made of sky-blue enamel glaze and decorated with entwining floral patterns, with the veins of the flowers and leaves flowing flexibly.

The filigree is fine, the gold plating is bright, the color is rich, the patterns are gorgeous and luxurious, and the craftsmanship is superb.

The enamel glaze of this vessel is bright and gorgeous, the head and feet of the elephant are huge and majestic.

The overall grandeur reflects the peak of filigree enamel craftsmanship during the heyday of the Qing Dynasty;

However, for such a work, the price is not high, only a few million.

And this is enamelware. If it were other types of handicrafts, it would be impossible to just take out one and it would be worth millions.

A work like this, worth millions, is already the most common thing.

If it's slightly better, it's worth tens of millions, and if it's even better, it's worth over 100 million.

There is no way, this is a daily necessities, the craftsmanship is not too much, nor is it very clever.

Therefore, such a smoker is worth more than one million yuan.

There were still many enamel wares like this in the mid-Qing Dynasty.

No, it should be said that there are quite a lot of incense burners like this.

Maybe it's because there are too many of them, so the price can't go up.

For example, during the Kangxi period, there is a large incense burner with a copper body and filigree enamel with dragon patterns and elephant feet. This is also a smoker, but this one is larger, with a height of 56 centimeters.

Unfortunately, this treasure belongs to a British collector.

The whole body of this incense burner is covered with sky blue enamel glaze, and is filled with red, yellow, blue and white glazes.

The furnace has an angled petal-shaped edge, the top buttons are decorated with Ruyi cloud patterns, the upper and lower parts of the furnace lid are decorated with entwining lotus patterns, and the middle part is gilt and hollowed with dragon patterns and Ganoderma lucidum patterns in between.

The furnace wall above the folded edge is hollowed out with a dragon pattern of a kidnapper, and the lower part is filled with a blue colored dragon pattern, and the bottom supports the head and three legs of an elephant.

The whole vessel is richly decorated and magnificent, which is really rare.

There is also a large copper-filled cloisonné enamel pavilion-style incense burner from the Qianlong period, which is larger in size. This large incense burner is 895 centimeters high.

It is an old collection of a Canadian collector and was sold at Poly's 10th anniversary autumn auction in Shendu.

It was auctioned on December 8, 2015, in the special sale of "Palace Art and Important Porcelain, Jade, and Crafts".

This incense burner is a standard Qianlong period, fine filigree enamel.

This vessel is made of fine copper, partially gilded, and the main body is ground with sky blue enamel glaze, which is gorgeous and brilliant;

The incense burner is in the shape of a hexagonal palace from the top to the neck, resembling a gilded pagoda.

The top of the tower is designed with double eaves, and the eaves are fully decorated with gilt longevity patterns and Ruyi ear patterns.

The top walls are all consecrated on six sides, and the upper consecrated interior is decorated with red enamel glaze Kui dragon patterns.

The interior of the lower eaves is decorated with antique symmetrical Kui dragon patterns in blue enamel.

The eaves of the pavilion are all made of cornices and horns, with three auspicious beasts on the prongs and golden copper bells hanging below;

The eaves are decorated with multi-colored striped canopy patterns to connect the lower eaves.

There is a small pavilion under the pavilion. The six walls of the pavilion are consecrated, the frame is decorated with entangled peony patterns, six gold pillars are framed, dragon patterns are carved on the climbing pillars, and the bottom of the pavilion is decorated with a fence.

It has a round belly, with three elephant legs and feet underneath, and the feet are decorated with gilt animal face patterns;

The six sides of the abdomen are consecrated, framed by sapphire blue enamel patterns, and the interior is consecrated with a lotus pattern;

The lotus flowers are filled with various enamel colors such as red, sapphire blue, yellow, pea green, purple and white.

The abdomen and shoulders are connected with a pair of sky-facing crown ears, and the side of the ears are filigree decorated with sapphire blue patterns;

On the top of the eaves is a circular gilt button with a lotus pattern and a lotus base underneath.

It can be said that the decorations on it alone make it even more luxurious!
