Chapter 1,303 Shipwreck Cemetery

There are a lot of Hai Lao porcelain, but the market is bigger, so identifying Hai Lao porcelain has begun to become important.

Of course, it is relatively easy to identify salvaged porcelain, as Chen Wenzhe has said before.

"Hailao porcelain" is ceramics that have sunk to the bottom of the sea for thousands of years.

Because when a shipwreck occurs, some artifacts will be tilted out of the cabin and scattered on the sand and mud, so the characteristics are very obvious.

When a shipwreck occurs, anything can happen.

For example, some goods will be piled up and gradually buried in the sand and mud.

This results in two situations when porcelain is fished out of the sea.

The first type is the utensils scattered on the sand.

They are washed away by the undercurrent in the sea. The glaze surface of the utensils will be worn and damaged due to the long-term erosion and friction of the undercurrent and sediment.

The second type is that the utensils are piled up and the whole thing is buried under the sand.

These porcelains are relatively well preserved.

However, due to being soaked in the seabed for thousands of years, the salt content will also corrode the glaze and body, causing the glaze to be dim and the body and glaze to be integrated.

How to identify them? It must be analyzed based on the age of the artifacts and the actual condition of the kiln entrance.

Due to the age or age, the depth or shallowness of the sea water, the salt content of the sea area, the sand or mud on the seabed, etc., the artifacts will appear different when they come out of the water.

But there is a common thing in "hailuo porcelain" that has been sleeping in the sea for thousands of years.

Due to being eroded by sea water, the surface of the tire glaze will form a natural and uniform layer of weathering, which is also called patina.

If it is "haihai porcelain" from the Qing, Kang, Yong and Qian dynasties, the identification will be even simpler.

So why do we talk about the export porcelain of the third generation of the Qing Dynasty? Because Chen Wenzhe also found a very beautiful porcelain with emerald blue color among a pile of fake porcelain salvaged from the sea.

This kind of porcelain, he could tell at a glance that it was emerald blue.

Putting it in his hand and looking at it for a moment, Chen Wenzhe knew that it was a Kangxi emerald blue landscape figure vase.

Looking at the landscape figures on it, it is obvious that they cannot be painted by ordinary people.

This is even easier to identify, because it is difficult for modern people to imitate the level of painting skills of Kangxi official kiln wares.

The export porcelain of the third dynasty of the Qing Dynasty was mainly underglaze blue and white wares. The decorations on the wares were mainly landscapes, figures, flowers and birds, entangled flowers, and paintings specified by foreign merchants.

For any painting that uses diagonal lines to divide the white lines into grids, a bamboo knife is used to divide the grid lines on the carcass, and then patterns are drawn inside the grids. After glaze firing, the concave condition of the white lines can be clearly felt by touching them with your hands.

The white lines in the picture that use straight lines to divide the grid are divided into grid lines with a pen, and there is no concave feeling when touched by hand.

The utensils of Kangxi period are in the shape of a platform.

The carcass of Yongzheng's utensils is firm and thin, and the feet are like the back of a loach.

The carcass of Qianlong's utensils is thicker, and the feet are like the back of a loach.

The export porcelain of the third dynasty of the Qing Dynasty had blue and white hair colors ranging from dark to light, gray to bright.

However, due to the high level of craftsmanship at that time, you can feel from the picture that all the paintings have a strong three-dimensional effect and the water separation technique is superb.

The painting techniques of modern imitations simply cannot reach the state of the art at that time.

Therefore, the emerald blue piece in Chen Wenzhe's hand, just by looking at the landscape and figures on it, he knew that it could not be a modern imitation.

Since it's not a fake, it's the real thing.

As for the green-haired blue that appears among a bunch of fake sea-sourced porcelain, it feels strange no matter how you think about it.

"Is this really a piece of porcelain found in the sea? If it is true, how carefully was it protected on the ship?"

Chen Wenzhe was very happy to discover a piece of Kangxi emerald blue, but how did this piece of porcelain appear here?

With this one, will there be another one?

Needless to say, emerald blue, even other fine porcelain from the Qing Dynasty will do!

If it was really discovered in a sunken ship, then Gao Qijing would have made another great contribution this time.

In fact, it is not difficult to identify whether it is salvaged porcelain from the third Qing Dynasty.

But on this piece of emerald blue, there are no traces of corrosion by sea water at all.

Generally, the "Haihai Porcelain" from the Qing Dynasty and the Third Dynasty will be corroded and washed away by salt water and undercurrents after sleeping in the seabed for two to three hundred years, causing damage to the glaze.

This kind of broken Haihai porcelain forms a glaze surface, which is like peeling off a layer of skin. With a magnifying glass, you can see the bubbles are broken, and some are even rusty and damaged.

The fetal feet have been soaked in sea water for a long time, forming an oxidized layer of age.

This is a layer of slurry formed on the original tire.

From then on, the glaze is formed into one body, dry, natural and even.

However, the emerald blue work in front of me is really well preserved.

Even if it is a handed down thing preserved in the air, it cannot be preserved so brightly, right?

Perhaps, this is the reason why it lives among a group of fake porcelain from the sea?

Looking at other fake Hai Lao porcelain, after these "Hai Lao Porcelain" came out of the water, due to poor maintenance, the glaze was all dull because the surface layer of the glaze was damaged.

Because the liquid of sea creatures contains glue and some shells are stuck on it, even if the utensils are rinsed after the water comes out, the glue in the broken bubbles of the glaze layer is still there and cannot be completely washed away, so the glaze surface

There will also be a layer of glue attached to cover the glaze.

To make Hai Lao porcelain smooth and clean, it must be soaked in water containing 1% oxalic acid for one day.

Then soak it in washing powder water for a day, and then wash it with fresh water.

Frequently rub the glaze surface of the utensils with your hands to wipe off the "old mud" (dirt) stuck on the glaze surface. Frequently touching the utensils will gradually restore the glaze luster.

"Maybe this is really something fished out of the sea!"

After confirming that it was an authentic piece, Chen Wenzhe directly used traceback. He wanted to see the origin of this porcelain.

Unexpectedly, when I looked at it, it was really fished out of the sea.

It's just that this porcelain was originally placed in a sandalwood box, and it was protected both inside and outside, and the outside looked like wax-sealed oil paper?

Unfortunately, the sandalwood outside was corroded by sea water, and the sandalwood was damaged after the porcelain was exposed to water, so this emerald blue became a treasure in the ocean.

"No wonder, it turns out that it has never been in contact with sea water. This item is as old as new and new as fake!"

"Boss, no? You said this is a genuine product?"

Gao Qijing looked at the brand new porcelain vase. He never thought that it was actually a Kangxi emerald blue vase.

"It's true, but it's porcelain fished out of a haystack!"

"Is it the same as that piece of Ming Dynasty porcelain?" Gao Qijing's expression became weird.

"What's wrong?" Chen Wenzhe noticed something unusual about him.

"The sea that those people were talking about is a dangerous sea area. If the monsoon is suitable, many sailboats will be blown there."

Looking at Gao Qijing, Chen Wenzhe felt a little unreal.

Could it be that they discovered a shipwreck graveyard so easily?

There are many such places in the sea, which are relatively dangerous sea areas near some shipping routes.
