Chapter 1523 The Ten Most Expensive Teacups

The counterfeiting of shadow celadon is just based on the size and shape of the object and is fired using modern technology.

That is, it can be fired with modern clay, chemical glaze, natural gas or electricity.

The shape of the vessel is a typical Song Dynasty over-fired printed bowl, with an unglazed mouth and a border. Most of these items are printed.

Not to mention anything else, it's just a cost price, which is too cheap.

The identification method is also simple. Under the observation of a fake with a magnifying glass, it is easy to find that the trim is old leather pasted with modern raw glue;

The glaze color is bright but not soft, the pattern shape is not as simple as the real thing, and the sun pattern of the printing is often more prominent;

Because the fire is too strong, the sound when struck is much louder than the real thing, and the sound waves are particularly long;

If you compare the bottom of the fake and the real thing, it will be even more clear.

The last step is to identify the printing technology. The simplest way is to look at the fine mesh, or else look at the pattern and the connection part of the pattern.

Modern printing crafts are all done with great care!

This kind of imitation is the easiest to identify.

However, some things made using forgery are not easy to identify.

A common forgery is to carve patterns on plain, patternless objects.

Because those with patterns are more expensive, so more people do this.

After it is done, it is re-glazed and fired in the kiln;

Another type is to add glaze and refire on unglazed objects with printed or carved flowers.

There are very few such artifacts in existence, so there are not many works that have been reworked in this way.

However, not much does not mean none, so you should pay more attention.

It is not difficult to identify the method. For the former, the difference in sound is not big.

At this time, first observe the glaze color, there must be a new color in the glaze color.

Because the authentic product has been buried underground for more than 1,000 years, you can usually see the "curry light".

Although modern counterfeiters can also create this luster, it is still different from the luster of the real thing;

Observe the bottom carefully. The bottom will be glazed and fired again, and the original bottle pad marks will be covered or destroyed;

There are also patterns that are different from the authentic ones. For the latter, because the pattern, texture and utensils are all correct, the glaze color must be carefully observed.

There are so many different ways of cheating that even Chen Wenzhe today cannot say that he knows them all.

Because as times change, there are always new methods emerging.

Therefore, Chen Wenzhe could only study the more harmful fraud methods.

For example, with the crack-covering method, if there are cracks (crossed lines) on a high-end shadow celadon porcelain, the general method of forgery is to cover up the flaws.

The method is also very simple. First use a hair dryer to bake the utensil until it is hot to the touch, then dip a towel or other cloth into "water wax" and smear the entire utensil, and the cracks will disappear immediately.

This kind of utensils are easy to be deceived because of their "wide open" design, glaze, patterns, and shape.

Of course, no matter how well you do something, there will always be flaws.

It is not difficult to identify this kind of counterfeiting method. Only if you know it and have the will to identify it can you identify it.

Use your fingers to tap the rim of the utensil in all directions, and it is easy to detect different changes in the sound, that is, the sound of breaking.

Of course, once the water wax evaporates after 3 to 5 months, the cracks will be exposed.

There are many other fraudulent methods to cover up cracks, such as filling gaps.

On some extravagant utensils with sunflower petals, gaps are sometimes easy to appear, and the general method of forgery is to fill the gaps.

The entire gap is smoothed and polished, and then a new flap is re-polished at the original opening.

The identification method is not difficult. Pay attention to the changes in the shape of the utensils. The height of the rim of each utensil has a strict proportion;

Secondly, there is no glaze on the re-ground rim.

According to the firing method of this type of utensils, there should be glaze.

The last method of fraud that is more harmful is the trick of pretending to be false.

Because it imitates the kiln mouth of Jingzhen kiln for firing blue and white porcelain

There have always been many new products from Hutian kiln in the Song and Yuan dynasties, with the best quality and the highest price.

There are very few products that truly belong to this kiln.

And some kilns, such as similar products from the Song and Yuan dynasties fired by the nearby Xijiang Nanfeng Baishe kiln, have been very close to Jingzhen's shadow celadon in quality since their appearance.

However, the prices of the two are quite different.

It is not difficult to identify the products of these two kilns. First, identify them based on their quality.

The latter is not as delicate as the former in any case.

Under normal circumstances, it is difficult to see this. You can only use some appropriate auxiliary tools;

The other is Jingzhenying celadon. The padding material used is purple gold clay with a high iron content.

There are also obvious yellow-brown or dark-brown bottle pad marks on the bottom of the vessel.

It is not found on Song and Yuan Ying celadon from other kiln entrances, let alone modern imitations.

Among the traditional methods of counterfeiting porcelain, there is also a method of intubation.

But it is not popular in the counterfeiting of shadow celadon.

The reason is also very simple. First of all, the shadow celadon uses a transparent glaze, which makes it easy to see the traces of the welding and is technically difficult to handle;

Secondly, if the high-end printing process affects celadon, it is impossible to unify the process;

If it is a shadow celadon porcelain with engraving technology, the patterns carved on the front and back will definitely be difficult to match in style;

Finally, if it is a plain tire device, since the market price has not been high since the 20th century, and the cost of counterfeiting is not low, the economic value of the tire splice is very small, and there are very few counterfeiters.

Among all the above methods of identifying fakes, the most difficult to grasp is the difference in glaze color and weight between genuine and fake products.

The weight of counterfeit goods is generally greater than the weight of genuine goods.

But through long-term appreciation practice, it is entirely possible to grasp it.

Just like the fakes Chen Wenzhe saw in front of him, although based on the technology he provided, the imitations were pretty good.

But in Chen Wenzhe's eyes, it can be said that there are flaws everywhere.

If he adds some distressing techniques to cover up these flaws, it will look perfect.

However, Chen Wenzhe no longer intends to make such old high imitations.

Because he already has enough self-confidence to show his own value.

In other words, he is no longer trying to deceive others or improve his reputation.

However, he is not famous for making high-end imitations. He still needs these craftsmen under him.

Therefore, no matter what type of porcelain they make, they are trying their best to make it better.

Just like the top ten most expensive tea cups he saw now, in addition to chicken vat cups and shadow celadon cups, there are many more tea cups like this.

Ranked 9th was a pink-green glaze cup from the Yongzheng period in the Qing Dynasty that sold for 2.25 million.

This kind of cup has a simple shape and strong lines, but it is still smooth.

The color is clear and elegant, and the enamel is relatively warm. It is a work that is both suitable for appreciation and use.

Needless to say, Yongzheng’s porcelain.

In Chen Wenzhe's opinion, it should be regarded as the most outstanding artistic work of the third generation of Qing Dynasty.

Therefore, any kind of price for Yongzheng items is foreseeable.

The 8th ranked item is 4.83 million, which is a rabbit-hair tea cup made from a jian kiln.

This rabbit hair tea cup has a bright glaze, and the fine gold and copper hair shines with silver light.

Even if it is not the most treasured among the rabbit hair categories, it is almost there. With such a built-in lamp, there is no need to wonder that it is so expensive.
