Chapter 1,620 Gao'an Cellar

In the Yuan Dynasty, the firing of blue and white porcelain began to mature, and production and sales flourished.

However, there are not many Yuan blue and white porcelain unearthed in our country.

Objects such as jars are even rarer.

Therefore, this blue and white Yunlong jar is particularly precious.

The discovery of the first Yunlong jar was just an unexpected surprise.

Apparently, before the disaster struck, someone stole a large jar with something hidden inside.

Therefore, this is not the cellar that Chen Wenzhe knew.

At that time, after discovering the large jar, they continued along the channel, several hundred meters westward, and discovered another ruins.

In ancient times, this was the most prosperous urban area in this area.

On the east side of the street, there is a huge building ruins.

On the north side of an alley is the original site of the temple.

After discovering the temple ruins, it will be easier to find a cellar.

After seven or eight hundred years, the cellar has actually begun to be exposed because it has been flooded.

Don't think that since this is a desert, it won't rain

Maybe it was a heavy rain in the rainy season that broke open the cellar.

Just along this gap, when the foundation was dug to a depth of about one meter, something extraordinary happened.

A team member shoveled down, and a vertical hole appeared.

The team members discovered that inside, there was actually a batch of porcelain. A lot of porcelain was not just like a few large boxes piled up in a small cellar as they imagined.

However, there were not many porcelains that could be found at that time. There were only 11 pieces in total, including six blue and white porcelains.

There are a pair of jars with blue and white underglaze red decals and consecrated lids, a pair of blue and white octagonal vases with sea dragon patterns and lids, a blue and white octagonal jade pot and a small spring vase, and a blue and white octagonal holding ewer.

Five other pieces of porcelain: a white-glazed dragon-patterned plate, a white-glazed lotus-petal wine glass, and three gold-colored sapphire blue-glazed wine cups, a gold-colored sapphire-glazed wine glass, and a gold-colored sapphire blue glaze plate.

In addition, there are two turquoise mountains, a painted glass bottle, and dozens of jade pieces.

Seeing so many blue and white porcelains, Gao Qijing knew that this mission was safe.

Found batches of blue and white porcelain from the Yuan Dynasty, what else is it other than a cellar?

What's more, these utensils are elegant and dignified in shape, rich in decoration, and exquisite in craftsmanship. They are of extremely high value. They can be called the best Yuan porcelain and are extremely precious.

The most precious piece among them is probably the Yuan blue and white underglaze red decals consecrated lid jar.

Jars of this style have also been found in other cellars in the country.

Even so, this is the only blue and white underglaze red appliquéd lid jar found in China.

As we all know, there are very few Yuan blue and white flowers in existence.

According to incomplete statistics, there are currently only three to four hundred pieces of Yuan blue and white porcelain that can be recognized by collectors and archaeologists around the world. This Yuan blue and white porcelain is naturally extremely precious.

Among them, the representative exquisite Yuan blue and white has a conservative estimate of over 100 million.

As for such precious Yuan blue and white porcelain, Gao Qijing and the others found six or seven pieces during two excavations.

These are still small ones. The largest discovery was that they found nineteen pieces. Of course, these were definitely Yuan blue and white porcelains.

Speaking of the most precious and rare Yuan Qinghua, let me first tell you a regrettable and sad thing.

We know that there are very few Yuan blue and white flowers in the world now, there are only three to four hundred pieces in the world.

What's more, the most regrettable thing is that a considerable part of Yuan blue and white flowers exist overseas.

Such as Yin, Tu, England, France, Chou, Neon and other countries.

In particular, the Topka Museum of Turkey and the Yin National Museum have the largest collections, with 40 pieces in the former and 32 pieces in the latter.

There are so few Yuan blue and white flowers in existence. Isn’t this number amazing?

In my country, there are about 120 Yuan blue and white collections.

There are only a few of them in any museum.

Of course, there is also a special museum that has more than a dozen pieces in its collection.

It can be said that if Chen Wenzhe's discovery this time is exposed, his museum will replace that museum and become the largest collection of Yuan blue and white porcelain in the country and the third in the world.

There were originally only 120 pieces in total in China, and nearly one-tenth of them were collected in one museum, the Yuan Blue and White Museum in Gao'an, Xijiang.

This is the first museum in the world named after Yuan blue and white flowers. There are 19 pieces of blue and white flowers in this museum!

The collections of Yuan blue and white flowers in major museums in my country rank first and third in the world.

In other words, it is second only to the collections of the Topka Museum and the Yin National Museum.

Going back to the source, why does this museum have so many blue and white porcelains?

First of all, let’s start with the long history and geographical environment of Xijiang Gao’an.

Gao'an City is located in the northwest of Xijiang Province. As early as more than 2,000 years ago, during the reign of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, Gao'an City was established as a county.

As we all know, Xijiang has always been famous for its porcelain industry, especially Jingzhen, which is the capital of porcelain.

Gao'an is not far from Jingzhen, and the culture of natural ceramics is also very popular, so it is not unusual to find porcelain in Gao'an.

This discovery can be regarded as a sensation in the world.

What was discovered this time was a wine cellar.

The place where these blue and white national treasures were excavated is an ordinary residential area in Gao'an City.

It used to be the former site of Xijiang No. 2 Electrical Machinery Factory.

On the afternoon of November 29, 1980, Liu Yuhei, then director of the Gaoan County Museum, received an emergency call.

Eight migrant workers at the Electrical Machinery Factory discovered an earth cellar containing a large amount of porcelain during the construction process.

The curator immediately reported it to his superiors and immediately organized archaeologists to conduct rescue excavations.

This discovery caused a sensation, and it was eight migrant workers who discovered the national treasure.

After archaeologists and scholars arrived at the scene, they saw surrounding residents cleaning up the scene, and the crowd started talking about it.

There were eight migrant workers in the underground kiln, wielding tools and doing their best.

Seeing this scene, Liu Yu almost fainted with dark eyes.

He quickly said loudly: "I am the director of the museum. The underground cultural relics belong to the state. Please stop the construction."

Subsequently, the archaeological team entered the scene and started rescue excavation against time.

After excavation, it was found to be a circular cellar, about 1.6 meters deep from the ground and about 2 meters in diameter.

The large jar was placed on the surface of the cellar. After the jar was opened, many small items were placed inside.

There were six baskets of cultural relics cleared out at that time, totaling 199 pieces of porcelain and 6 pieces of copper and iron, for a total of 245 pieces.

Later, after careful comparison and study by experts, it was discovered that the unearthed porcelains were of very high specifications, mainly from the kiln mouth of Jingzhen, as well as those from Longquan kiln, Jun kiln, and Cizhou kiln.

After appraisal by experts from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, there are many cultural relics at all levels.

These hoarded porcelains are rare at home and abroad in terms of quantity, quality, shape, and type.

Among the porcelain unearthed in the cellar, there are some vessels that can only be used by the royal family.

Among them, the 19 pieces of Yuan Dynasty blue and white porcelain are the most stunning.

This 19 yuan blue and white includes many types of porcelain, and it is also available in porcelain from several kilns. Our website:
