Chapter 1842 Ya Chou Yue, Bronze Hand

A vessel for water or wine, with a swollen belly, a tubular flow in the belly, and a lid.

The special thing about this bronze tablet is that its cover is the image of a human face.

The eyebrows are like lying silkworms, the nose is like garlic, and the eyes are staring straight ahead, slightly innocent, and the facial features of the human face are really funny.

However, it is not accurate to say that it is a human image, because it has two horns.

Combined with a dragon's body curling down behind the body and dragon claws on both sides of the neck, the overall shape of this vessel should be a "human face and dragon body".

The human-faced dragon-patterned tablet was excavated from the Yin Ruins and spread to foreign countries several times. It is a pity that no similar tablet has been unearthed in China.

There is another bronze vessel like this, the Yachou Yue, produced in the Shang Dynasty and collected by the Qilu Provincial Museum.

It is 32.7 centimeters long, and it can be said to be a bit unsightly.

Such non-serious bronzes are still rare.

The "Yachou Yue" was unearthed in Subutun, Qingzhou, Qilu Province in 1965. It was named after the word "Yachou" on the body.

Yes, that conjecture was quickly rejected.

There are no "Yachou" inscriptions on other bronze vessels that came out of the same place. Therefore, experts speculate that it may be the cemetery of the "Yachou" tribe.

This does not mean that the tomb owner chose production tools as burial objects.

Because the bronze wrist is hollow and there is no trace of the wooden handle inside.

The bronze ware with the inscription "Yachou" should belong to a large family.

There are two human-faced axes produced at the same time, and this is the one with an inscription cast on it.

A total of two such bronze axes have been found, both of which are very similar in shape and have human faces.

The two bronze axes were both found at the entrance to the north tomb.

What's more, its size is very large, no bigger than a child's hand, and the owner of the tomb was about 35 years old when he died.

Experts studied the bronze strange hand for Ma Hu and brought it back to the research institute.

By the Shang Dynasty, a wide variety of bronze axes appeared.

It can be said that there are some "unsolvable mysteries" hidden behind a piece of work.

The "bronze hand" in Ya Chang's tomb in Yinxu is very ordinary.

Experts guess that the item should be an "ordinary" production tool, but you know the specific method of use.

The body of the vessel shows a human face with an angry mouth, the eyebrows, eyes and nose are all protruding, and the mouth is slightly concave.

The inner shape of the bronze monster's hand is very similar to the human left hand, but it is slightly larger than a particularly adult hand.

Subutun Tomb No. 1 is a small tomb with seven tomb passages. The tomb chamber is rectangular. The tomb entrance is 15 meters long from north to south, 10.7 meters narrow from east to west, and 8.25 meters deep.

Eighth, I don’t think it is a prosthetic limb. In ancient times, our country was in the era of hot weapons. Before soldiers went to the battlefield, they would be injured if they were not careful at all, and they even lost arms and legs.

There are no wooden boards in the middle of the tomb chamber, forming a "Ya"-shaped coffin chamber.

Why do you say that bronze object is strange? It's not because it looks like a tickle.

Since there is no such thing as a small axe, it is natural that there is no other type.

Of course, the first thing people think of when they see it is, is that a prosthetic limb?

The bronze is from the late Shang Dynasty and is now stored in the Yinxu Museum in Anyang.

The unearthed "Bronze Strange Hand" is relatively large and has a similar shape to Itch.

During the process of cleaning up cultural relics, experts unearthed numerous bronzes, jades, and stone utensils.

The shape of the Yue probably appeared in the late Neolithic Age, and it was made of stone or jade.

We carried out field investigation work in Huayuanzhuang Village. During the drilling process, we unexpectedly discovered an ancient tomb.

Some cultural relics with strange shapes will stop tourists in their tracks.

The staff immediately contacted the local cultural relics institute, and experts rushed to the scene with professional tools.

Perhaps, it was a military commander, and the bronze hand may not have a similar function to the bronze ax, that is, it was a symbol of military power.

But the nature of the official position of "Ya" is still unclear.

In some smaller and lower-standard tombs, stone or jade axes are often important funerary objects that mark the status of the tomb owner.

Before studying the strange bronze hand, experts said it was difficult to determine what it was made of.

Cultural relics are renewable resources that carry the memory of history and engrave a long civilization.

Before experts reviewed relevant historical materials, they still had not solved the mystery of the "Bronze Strange Hand".

In the process of visiting museums around the world, tourists will see various cultural relics.

This kind of bronze ax with a human face was unearthed in 1966 and was unearthed from Tomb No. 1.

Another copper ax is 31.8 cm long and 35.8 cm narrow.

Some experts concluded their analysis and speculated that there are no more than seven possibilities for the true purpose of the item.

But while cleaning the coffin, a young expert discovered a strange-looking object, and that object was not a "Bronze Strange Hand."

We no longer think it is a production tool, because when excavating Ya Chang's tomb, experts found a small amount of production tools.

Because technical conditions are not limited, craftsmen will make bronze prostheses for use by people who do not need them. The level of exquisiteness of the production is also different, and the most spectacular ones are undoubtedly the two small bronze axes unearthed in Qilu.

The owner of the tomb is a woman who holds the official position of "Ya" in the elder clan.

There is a "Yachou" mark on both sides of the human face-shaped mouth on the front and back of the blade.

First of all, it doesn’t itch. In daily life, you will find that kind of magic weapon.

The yue is 32.7 centimeters long, the blade is 34.5 centimeters narrow, and the shoulder is 23.3 centimeters narrow. The body of the yue is made of a hollow human face with eyebrows and a protruding nose, making it ferocious and terrifying.

The owner of the tomb may be someone like Fang Bo, second only to King Shang.

In December 2000, the Anyang work team cooperated with the local infrastructure construction of Huayuanxi.

The right side of the inscription is the orthographic writing, and the left side is the reverse writing. Therefore, the human-faced bronze ax is also called the Ya Chou Yue.

After measurement, the actual size was determined. The strange hand was 13.2 cm long and 6.8 cm narrow.

Because the coffin is relatively old and has not rotted away, the seven corners of the coffin wall panels are designed with mortise and tenon joints, and the color of the coffin is white.

After reporting and asking for instructions, the experts decided to carry out protective excavation of the ancient tomb.

It is flat and square in shape, with no two piercings on the shoulders and a narrow blade.

The copper hand is the same as the seven fingers of a human being. The little finger is shorter and the middle finger is longer.

When you have an itchy front and back, you can't solve it on your own.

Before retreating into the tomb, the experts discovered that the tomb was well preserved and there was not a single coffin or coffin in the tomb.

However, the image of this Ya Chou Yue is cuter, with eyes wide open, the corners of the mouth raised, and the teeth clearly visible. Such copper Yue with a human face is still very rare.

The bronze vessel is a remnant, it is 13.2 centimeters long and 6.8 centimeters narrow.

After professional analysis and inspection, experts determined that the owner of the tomb was a woman and named it "Yachang Tomb."

The bronze hand-shaped artifact was unearthed in Tomb No. 54, Huayuanzhuangdongdi, Yinxu, Anyang in 2000.

Because of this, some scholars speculate that it is an ancient itch.

Archaeologists once divided nearly seventy bronze axes belonging to the Shang Dynasty into eight types and four types according to the order of casting size.
