Chapter 1945: Live like the person you envy the most

In May 1968, an intense blasting project was underway near Lingshan, Mancheng District, BD City.

This move was to better meet the needs of national defense development, and the hilltops near Lingshan District became the first targets to be blasted.

But after a loud "rumbling" sound, a dark hole appeared on the top of the mountain.

The mystery of Han tombs all over the city has been revealed since then.

This ancient tomb is the tomb of Liu Sheng, Prince Jing of Zhongshan during the Western Han Dynasty, and his wife Dou Wan.

Because it was unearthed in Mancheng, it was named "Mancheng Han Tomb".

With the emergence of treasures such as jade clothes with gold threads, Boshan furnace with gold, Changxin palace lanterns and so on, the archaeological team could no longer contain the excitement in their hearts and repeatedly lamented the luxury of the nobles of the Western Han Dynasty.

It can be said that the concentrated appearance of these national first-level protected cultural relics has once again amazed the world.

In addition, a large number of treasures in the tomb are placed intact in the tomb chamber.

Experts seem to have uncovered a mysterious treasure. According to statistics, there are tens of thousands of artifacts unearthed in the tomb.

There are more than 10,000 items including all kinds of gold, silver, bronze, iron, jade, lacquerware, and exquisitely crafted silk fabrics. Dozens of trucks are needed to load the cultural relics.

After transporting all the artifacts to the museum, the archaeological team began the complicated and meticulous cleaning work.

During the cleaning process, they accidentally discovered an extremely strange bronze vessel in a corner.

The bronze vessel is 13.3 centimeters tall and shaped like a blooming flower with a total of 4 petals.

Between the petals, there is a soft downward branch, and there is a long-armed monkey standing on the stamen.

The long-armed monkey has its legs curled up, its right hand tightly hooks the flower stamen, and its left arm curves upwards like a straight hook.

After the archaeological team cleaned it up, they began to discuss its use.

Some archaeological team members believe that it is a strange-shaped candlestick used to place candles.

Some team members thought it might be a hook.

Some archaeological team members also believe that it is purely a decoration.

But what is it used for? Several team members were also confused because of their lack of archaeological experience.

Archeology is a very rigorous work. In addition to observing the appearance of the artifacts, it is also necessary to explore various details.

For the many artifacts in Han tombs throughout the city, their purpose can be observed at a glance.

For example, pots and bottles are all daily utensils;

Swords and spears are weapons;

Books and paintings are ornamental items.

Even if it is difficult to identify the purpose of some artifacts in a short time, the answer can be found in ancient books and materials.

The archaeological team even searched through ancient books and even some unofficial histories of the Han Dynasty, but still could not find any records about the artifact.

From this, the team members speculated that this mysterious artifact may have been a privately made artifact at the time, so it was not mentioned in various materials.

In order to find out the true purpose of the artifact, the archaeological team sent it to the cultural relics department and asked experts in the cultural relics field to identify it.

The expert only observed it for a short while and then said something, which almost shocked the archaeological team's jaws.

What did the expert say? It's very simple. The expert told the archaeological team: "You picked it up backwards!"

It turned out that when the archaeological team was observing the artifact, they had been observing it in an inverted form. No wonder they couldn't figure out the reason after studying it for a long time.

Experts told the archaeological team that the artifact was called a "Western Han Dynasty four-petal flower-shaped hanging ape copper hook" and was specially used to hang clothes.

The team members turned it over and tried it out. As expected, the clothes were indeed firmly caught on the hook.

After the mystery of the purpose of the artifacts was revealed, the archaeological team members not only admired the experts, but also marveled at the ingenuity of the ancients in designing the artifacts.

Because through further tests, the archaeological team also discovered that there is a copper shaft at the connection between the gibbon and the stamen.

It was only due to rust that it was completely rusted, but after patiently removing the rust, the team members actually turned it successfully.

This allows the "four-petal flower-shaped hanging ape bronze hook of the Western Han Dynasty" to completely reproduce the style of that year.

A small bronze vessel has such an ingenious mechanism. The size of the vessels in the Han tombs all over the city is truly astonishing.

Experts have not stopped researching the Han tombs in Mancheng. They believe that more secrets will be revealed to the world, allowing descendants of China to witness the historical civilization of two thousand years ago.

Of course, the antiques sent to Chen Wenzhe this time were definitely more than just bronzes, and they were certainly more than just a copper hook.

In addition, the more precious ones include gilt tiger-shaped copper holders, gilt deer-shaped copper ornaments, etc.

For example, there are pairs of gilt copper ornaments in the shape of animals, both of which are animals with their heads together and their bodies at an angle of 90 degrees.

Viewed from the side, it looks like a winged mythical beast with a raised head and a thin waist. The beast's forelimbs are crouching, and its hind limbs are exerting force to make a running or soaring motion. It is full of movement and full of Chu Feng.

There are also bronze rap figurine towns, this group of human-shaped bronze towns represent the image of actors rapping.

This town is almost identical in all aspects to the copper town with rap figurines unearthed from the tomb of King Jiangdu in Dayunshan.

Therefore, these are probably the official system of the Han court, which were uniformly given to the princes and kings for use.

Then there is the leopard-shaped copper town. The body of the leopard is made of gold and silver with plum blossom-shaped leopard spots.

The head, feet and tail are staggered with dotted lines, the mouth is painted with vermilion, and the eyes are inlaid with white agate.

However, because the adhesive material is mixed with vermilion pigment, it appears red and bright.

Its body is soft, curled up, and its head is raised, capturing the characteristics of a feline body that is soft and yet extremely alert.

In addition to these, the most famous one should be the gold-inlaid copper Boshan stove.

The body of this kind of incense burner is bean-shaped and covers the Xiaobo Mountain.

The whole body is made of gold, and the handle is carved in the shape of three dragons flowing out of water, with the dragon's head supporting the stove plate.

The stove plate is decorated with gold flowing cloud patterns, and the upper part of the plate and cover are cast into steep and undulating mountains.

Divine beasts appear in the mountains, tigers and leopards run around, monkeys squat on high-rise peaks or ride on animals, and hunters hunt among the rocks.

Two or three small trees are dotted among them, depicting a beautiful mountain scenery and vivid hunting scene.

There are Boshan stoves like this, and Boshan stoves with bronze beast figures.

The most special one is the bronze lamp. The holder of the "danghu" bronze lamp is a kneeling person, which reflects the tense relationship between the Han and the Huns at that time.

This copper sheep-shaped lamp can be placed flat on the lamp plate placed on the sheep's head, and the unused lamp oil can be poured back into the sheep's body, saving money!

Furnace-shaped copper lamp is an environmentally friendly lamp that can adjust the direction and brightness of light.

All of these are considered national treasures, and so many Han Dynasty bronzes can now be put into Chen Wenzhe's private museum if he wants.

If it turned out that he could get so many treasures, Chen Wenzhe would have to find a way to sell one of them and exchange it for money, or a large sum of money, so that he could buy and collect more treasures.

But with so many priceless treasures, he no longer needs to exchange money for collection.
