After carefully looking at the excavated bowl tomb, and then looking at other places, Chen Wenzhe generally had a pretty good idea.
Such an ordinary bowl tomb is really small in size.
There should be quite a few ordinary bowl tombs like this in this area.
Since they have been visited by others, these bowl tombs cannot continue to stay here. This is why when Professor Tao mentioned it, some people responded and wanted to dig them out.
Among them, Professor Li is naturally the most active, because the Academy of Fine Arts is currently expanding its museum.
For this batch of bowl tombs, even if the blue and white porcelain bowls excavated cannot be separated, they can dig out the entire bowl tombs completely and finally copy them to the museum of the Grand Academy of Fine Arts.
If the number is larger, then a dedicated bowl tomb museum will be built. When the time comes, the scene will be spectacular, right?
It is because of such a vision that the school will strongly support it.
Otherwise, Professor Tao's major is not suitable and he has no interest in digging the grave himself, let alone dragging Chen Wenzhe over.
After understanding the school's plan, Chen Wenzhe jumped out of the ancient tomb and walked around a few times.
He had seen this place before, and now he could see clearly where the tombs were.
Combined with the excavated ancient tomb he just saw, Chen Wenzhe made a little calculation and roughly sketched out the situation of the tomb this week.
Chen Wenzhe had inquired before. The relatively large ancient tomb here had been discovered decades ago.
Therefore, what is left now are generally ordinary tombs.
In this way, the size of the tombs here is not very large.
For example, the one next to the excavated ancient tomb is 2.4 meters long, 1.35 meters wide, and 1.3 meters high.
Chen Wenzhe could tell that this was an ordinary-sized tomb.
This ancient tomb should have the same specifications as the one excavated next to it. Therefore, if there are no errors in this ancient tomb, more than 2,000 blue and white porcelain bowls should have been used.
Calculate the direction of the tomb so that it will be easier to dig.
Using an excavator, under Chen Wenzhe's command, he dug down to a depth of more than two meters in just a few strokes.
At this depth, with a little cleaning, you should be able to see the outer wall of the bowl tomb.
Sure enough, after just poking it gently, a large piece of soil fell off, revealing the layers of blue and white porcelain bowls.
Chen Wenzhe jumped down into the pit and took a look. There was no deviation from the direction he calculated.
However, the porcelain bowl in this ancient tomb seems to be better.
Sure enough, after a little cleaning, I found that the stacks of blue and white porcelain bowls exposed here were each relatively exquisite in workmanship, or had patterns of flowers and plants, or were engraved with geometric figures.
The diameter of each bowl is about 16 centimeters. The adjacent bowls have one mouth facing up and the other facing down and interlock with each other, forming a vaulted tomb in rows.
Judging from the unearthed blue and white porcelain bowl, this is another tomb from the Qing Dynasty.
Judging from the excavations, the production of bowl tombs during that period consumed not only money but also labor.
Just like stacking blocks, the more blocks there are, the more difficult it is to stack them.
The mud used to build the bowl is also very particular.
Because the bowls are small in size and have a large number of bowls; unlike stone slabs, they are easy to fall off if the mud is not well made.
Therefore, ordinary mud cannot be used in the tomb chamber, but a special material mixed with glutinous rice paste and Sanhe ash must be used.
As for this glutinous rice paste, it was commonly used when building cities in ancient times, and it was naturally made of glutinous rice.
As we all know, glutinous rice is very sticky and can easily stick to objects.
So what is Sanhe ash? It is a soil material made of lime and fine sand mixed and compacted.
At that time, these were all high-end decorative materials. Not to mention used in the tombs of the dead, even in houses where living people lived, ordinary people could not afford them. Therefore, they wanted to build bowl tombs without any financial resources.
It's not possible.
Unfortunately, although the manufacturing process of these bowl tombs here is relatively high, Chen Wenzhe discovered that almost all of these ancient tombs were stolen.
It can be seen that after all the efforts and money were spent, disaster was inevitable in the end.
"It's such a pity that the bowl tomb was preserved, but the funerary objects inside were stolen."
Another empty tomb made Professor Li look distressed.
"It must have been stolen for a long time." Chen Wenzhe had nothing to do about this.
When he came over, he also saw new robber caves, but those robber caves had not yet been opened, or in other words, they were just some simple cave exploration.
However, no one has been digging recently. Is that because they know that all the tombs here have been visited?
Now Chen Wenzhe doubts this very much. Otherwise, with the skills of some tomb robbers, they would not be able to keep such an ancient tomb without robbing it.
Maybe I just knew that this place had been excavated on a large scale before, so I did a little digging and then gave up.
There is nothing we can do about this. In the decades before the founding of the People's Republic of China, the country was in too much chaos.
At that time, not far from the fall of the Qing Dynasty, someone might have watched the burials in the ancient tombs here!
After seeing the luxury of the tomb, it will naturally arouse greed in others.
What's more, in difficult times, hunger and cold still stir up the heart!
Fortunately, the structure of bowl tombs is special, otherwise, these bowl tombs would not be preserved.
"Xiao Chen is quite capable. Please point us to a few more buildings. With your guidance, we can use the excavator to excavate quickly, which will make the excavation faster."
Professor Li is becoming more and more satisfied with Chen Wenzhe.
Because of Chen Wenzhe's casual instructions, it took them less than half an hour to completely expose a bowl tomb.
The previous one took them half a day, and that was the difference.
"Actually, you all know the specifications. As long as you dig according to the specifications, the things in the tomb should not be damaged." Chen Wenzhe said very relaxedly.
"Haha, they can't determine the location of the coffin. Even if they know the specifications of the tomb, so what?" Professor Tao said unceremoniously.
"It's not difficult to tap acupuncture points..."
"Forget it, even if you want to teach you some secrets, we won't be able to learn them in a short time. It's better for you to point out the coffin position. We will first expose the bowl tomb according to the fixed specifications."
Looking at Professor Li's look, Chen Wenzhe knew that this was an instruction for him, a silly boy, to work for free, right?
There was no other way, so Chen Wenzhe could only point out the locations one by one.
Later, because it was too troublesome, Professor Li simply asked someone to bring a lot of lime and asked him to draw the general scope of the ancient tomb.
In this way, as long as the excavator does not dig the area defined by the lime, the ancient tomb will not be damaged.
There are quite a few ancient tombs here. It only took an hour for Chen Wenzhe to identify more than twenty of them.
This old Huang family was really wealthy back then.
And this is around Dahai City, and only here can such a big family be born, right?
