Chapter 761 Never thought of always picking up leaks

How much can you pay for these things that are stuck at the door and pick up leaks?

After understanding this, Lao Zhang walked even faster!

"Boss, don't leave in a hurry. I'll give you 220,000 yuan, and you can make 20,000 yuan by changing hands!"

"I'll pay 230,000 yuan to take a look at something. If it's really good, the price can be even higher!"

Lao Zhang stopped and said, "Do you know how much a work by a modern master is worth?"

"The works of modern masters? There are only a few masters of white porcelain. Their larger works are worth hundreds of thousands, right?"

"A masterpiece, that is, a fine product, can be worth three to five million. I mean a small piece like the one in your hand!" This one was more sincere.

"So, do you think Boss Chen's works have reached the level of modern masters?" Lao Zhang asked.

"Haha, it depends on the situation. Who doesn't know how amazing Boss Chen's finishing skills are? Just because of this, his works are comparable to the level of modern masters!"

Lao Zhang was stunned for a moment, then came to his senses.

Comparable to the level of a master? Doesn't that mean that the porcelain plastic plum basin he just sold has come back in disguise?

That porcelain sculpture is worth at least 300,000 yuan. Doesn’t that mean that the two Guanyin statues in his hands are also worth at least 300,000 yuan?

If the operation is good, maybe it can be higher?

With this idea, Lao Zhang is not in a hurry to take action.

Even if you want to take action in the future, you must first understand the real market conditions before doing so.

Thinking of those kind eyes, the Goddess of Mercy!

And the first feeling when I saw those eyes, compassion? Compassion?

Lao Zhang didn't know whether to save the world or not, but he knew that opening the eyes was a troublesome thing and most people couldn't do it well, so there were many statues with eyes squinted.

Whether the statement of salvation is accurate or not, we can actually find the answer through several perspectives.

Why is Lao Zhang from Dehua Porcelain City? Who among them can't tell you some of the characteristics of the statues? The production techniques?

He is in this industry. Although he doesn't know how to make things and his eyesight is even worse, he always knows how to make them.

He also knew that when talking about the form of Buddha statues, the word "expression" must be mentioned.

This is a Buddhist term. For "Character Representation", in layman's terms, it means to see the essence through phenomena.

To give a few examples in life: when you see people wearing police uniforms, you will think of safety and justice.

When you see our Olympic athletes, you will think of honor and pride.

When you see beggars begging on the roadside, you will think of pity and poverty.

When people see Guanyin Bodhisattva, their most natural association is the word compassion.

This is also one of the interpretations of "men wearing Guanyin". If a man is too violent, he can wear a Guanyin to calm his mind, eliminate his aggression, and become humble and introspective.

In the carvings of hard objects such as jade, Guanyin with her eyes closed represents the reluctance to abandon the six realms and pity for all living beings, while at the same time not being able to bear to open her eyes to see the suffering of all living beings.

In most jade Guanyin cards, Guanyin's eyes are just opened.

This must be because jade is extremely hard, making it difficult to carve fully open eyes, and it doesn't look good.

Later, this ordinary carving technique developed into a table carving method.

And there are various interpretations: open two points, close eight points, look at the outside with two points, look at the inside with eight points, always observe one's own faults, and don't focus on others' faults.

The meaning of humility and self-examination coincides with the principles of Buddhism. Such a Guanyin tablet is even more auspicious!

If it is a Guanyin ornament, the moment you kneel down and raise your head, you will see the Bodhisattva's lowered eyes looking at you, which will give you a sense of satisfaction of being blessed. Therefore, this two-eight representation is the most common in jade carvings.

There are even expressions of Zen state. Buddhist zazen focuses on the state of cessation in which "there is no appearance on the outside and no mind on the inside".

With half-open eyes, practitioners are always reminded not to be lethargic and lazy, but to move forward hard.

Therefore, when making, the sculptor also likes to use this half-open and half-closed image, which represents the Bodhisattva entering the "Zen state", which is more profound.

You have to think carefully about these kinds of interpretations, aren’t they nonsense?

But no matter what you say, if it’s better to open your eyes, then who wouldn’t want to do that?

You have to do well enough and have the confidence to make the Buddha statue open its eyes.

Lao Zhang stayed true to his original intention, and if he doesn’t sell, he won’t sell.

Chen Wenzhe also followed his heart and entered the antique stalls again.

The quality of the antiques in the market today is really good. Just looking at it, I saw a lot of old porcelain, but unfortunately they were all from private kilns.

After asking about the price, the cheapest ones cost several hundred, and they are all damaged, either cracked or exposed.

Naturally, Chen Wenzhe would not want such a thing unless the craftsmanship was very special or very exquisite.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to produce works of exquisite craftsmanship from such folk kilns.

He slowly kept walking forward, and soon he saw something interesting, which was a small celadon-glazed jar, or incense burner.

It is about the size of a palm, slightly larger than the current tea bowl.

The whole body is light green, it looks like a shadow green, and it has three legs. It is an incense burner, but it is not an ordinary incense burner, it should be a piano burner.

A qin stove is a small incense burner placed on the head of the piano when playing the qin in ancient times. It is also a tool for burning incense, but it is very small and not commonly used.

This kind of thing often appears in storybooks, including Romance of the West Chamber and Jin Porcelain Plum.

It's a pity that the thing was produced in a folk kiln at first glance, but seeing something from the Southern Song Dynasty is also very valuable for collection.

Unexpectedly, I can actually pick up leaks here, and it is a piece of high-grade ancient porcelain!

There are a lot of people today, so if you like something, you have to get it first.

However, that thing was beside the stall owner and within easy reach.

Therefore, this thing, the stall owner should know that it is the real thing.

"Show me that little jar!" Chen Wenzhe asked directly.

For some professionals, just by looking at the position of antiques placed on the stall, they know the status of this item in the boss's heart.

Therefore, it is almost impossible to miss this item.

In this case, Chen Wenzhe will no longer perform.

"Boss Chen?" The stall owner took out his mobile phone and fiddled with it, and Chen Wenzhe's photo appeared on it.

Chen Wenzhe's eyes widened when he saw it. Even in an information society, you can't just search the Internet when you see a young man?

Or maybe you just saved his photo? You won’t call him Boss Chen if you see someone who looks like him, right?

"Sure enough, it's Boss Chen? Are you interested in my little incense burner?" the stall owner said with a happy face.

Chen Wenzhe just felt unlucky. Although he didn't want to always pick up the slack, he didn't want to be ripped off either!

But there is no way, who makes him more famous? Who makes him want to see this incense burner?

The Yingqing folk kiln piano stove was also very rare. Even if he couldn't buy it, he would at least watch the production process of this porcelain before leaving.
