Chapter 781 Invigorate the spirit of the Chinese people (1000

These days, as the rust has been removed, many of the exposed inscriptions have been roughly translated by Chen Wenzhe.

Recognizing the characters in this inscription was not as difficult as Chen Wenzhe imagined.

This is all thanks to the five thousand years of civilization in our country, which has been inherited in an orderly manner and without interruption.

It is precisely because the inheritance is orderly and many things can be learned from, that it is easy to interpret this ancient seal script left by the ancients thousands of years ago.

Because it has similarities with many current simplified characters.

Passed down from generation to generation, even if you just look at the glyphs, you can still recognize some of them.

The inscription in the museum reads: "Heaven ordered Yu to spread the soil and dredge the mountains and rivers, so he set up a levy on the land."

The inscription inside this piece should be: "Heaven ordered Yu to spread the earth, plant trees along the mountains, and lay the foundation for the high mountains and rivers."

This is an inscription that Chen Wenzhe can recognize, and there is another paragraph: "Yu left Jiuzhou, followed the mountains and dredged the rivers, and paid tribute to the soil."

If Chen Wenzhe had seen these words before going to Chang'an, he would have known that they were records of Dayu's flood control story.

But it's different now. He has read Shangshu.

To understand these words, you should also refer to "Shang Shu", because many contents in Shangshu are very similar to the inscriptions carved on this bronze vessel.

For example, "Yu Gong" in "Shangshu" says: "Yu spread the soil, planted trees along the mountains, and built mountains and rivers."

This paragraph is missing two words, destiny!

This entire inscription can be called a piece of prose in the nature of a political commentary.

Its diction and style are unprecedented in the two-week bronze inscriptions, but they are very close to the existing ancient documents such as "Shangshu".

This means that the contents recorded in the Shangshu have nothing to do with the bronze inscriptions in Xian Gongyu. Who would believe it?

In fact, there is a lot of evidence, such as "Poetry·Changfa": "The floods were shining brightly, and Yu laid down the earth."

The words used here are all similar to each other.

In the inscription, the legend of Yu is consistent with the "Poetry" and "Book".

There are very few ancient text materials recorded in the past about Yu. Only Qin Gonggui mentioned "Yu's traces", Shuyi Bo and Zhong Shu mentioned Cheng Tang's expedition to Xia, "There are nine states in Xianzhou, and they are blocked by Yu".

As for the deeds of flood control, this is the first time it has been discovered.

Qin Gonggui and others all belong to the Spring and Autumn Period, while Xun Gongyu dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty and has become the earliest cultural relic example of the legend of Dayu's flood control. This is of great significance to the study of ancient domestic history.

In fact, this also involves another step of the work "Yu Gong".

"Yu Gong" is a famous ancient Chinese book, which belongs to a chapter in "Shang Shu". Its geographical records cover the mountains, rivers, topography, soil, products and other conditions of various places.

As we all know, most modern scholars believe that the text "Yu Gong" was written very late, and the "Preface" is even more doubtful.

Now it has been proven that the text and sentences are the same as the inscription, especially "Sui Shan Chun Chuan" is exactly the same as the "Preface to the Book", which is really surprising.

Now Chen Wenzhe suspects that many of the contents in "Yu Gong" should come from the statue of Lord Xun in front of him.

Although Chen Wenzhe did not translate all the inscriptions in this Xian Gongyu, the general inscriptions are like this.

Yu left Jiuzhou, followed the mountains and dredged the rivers, and paid tribute with the soil. Heaven ordered Yu to spread the soil, follow the mountains and plant trees, and lay the foundation for the high mountains and rivers.

Look at these sentences, they are almost exactly the same as part of "Yu Gong" in the Analects of Confucius.

Previously, there were different opinions on the author of "Yu Gong", but Wang Guowei believed in "New Evidence of Ancient History" that "Yu Gong" was written by people in the early Zhou Dynasty;

In his article "On the Writing Era of (Yu Gong)", Shi Nianhai determined that the author was from the Wei state based on the names "Nanhe" and "Xihe" in "Yu Gong";

Gu Jiegang believes that it was made by the Qin people during the Warring States Period;

In addition, there is also the theory of the late Warring States Period to the early Han Dynasty by Japanese scholar Torajiro Naito.

Although "Yu Gong" is purportedly written by Dayu, it is actually a work after the Warring States Period. This should be recognized by now.

However, no matter who the author is, the source of the content is worth studying.

Scholars in the past believed that "Yu Gong" was written by a Xia Dynasty historian or even Yu himself, but this has long been denied by the academic community.

However, it seems now that these speculations are not necessarily wrong.

Even if this book was not written by a Xia Dynasty historian, its source is probably some Xia Dynasty historical materials.

Those historical materials, now seen, seem to have been lost.

But, what about during the Warring States Period? What about before it started earlier? Even after the Warring States Period, maybe it was still spread!

No one knows this, and no one knows when these historical materials were dated.

Chen Wenzhe only has so much ability, and he can deduce these results.

After all, he doesn't study history. At most, he only knows some history of the art world.

Therefore, if this thing is to play a role, cheer up the spirit of the Chinese people, and refute the denial of the Chinese ancestors by some ignorant people at home and abroad, it still needs the Academy of Fine Arts to come forward.

Of course, even the history department of the Academy of Fine Arts may not be able to do it, and they may not be able to support this kind of research.

In the end, it will definitely become a grand event for the entire Dahai City and even the domestic cultural circle.

You know, the Xian Gongzi discovered previously has been held at three international seminars.

The Chinese New Year is coming soon, and we have to wait until after the Chinese New Year to discuss anything.

Chen Wenzhe, who had nothing to do that day, came to the copper factory again.

Because while repairing Xian Gongyu, he also made some clay models, and today was the time to produce the finished product.

This time he made not only bronze bells, but also bronze drums, bronze chimes and other percussion instruments.

He even made a batch of singing bowls.

These things can be sold for money as long as his name is left on them.

So, now that I have done it, I will make more and add some Yi Niantang products.

Of course, what he values most is the evening drums and morning bells. There are two sets of bells and drums.

He left behind a set, one of which, the Jingyun Bell, will be auctioned at the Gold Medal Auction House. As for the other bronze drum, it will naturally be sold to the City God's Temple Scenic Area Management Committee.

After doing this, Chen Wenzhe has no intention of doing these things again in the future.

Therefore, this time he asked for a more aggressive price.

Of course, even the last time, the asking price was not cheap. The Jingyun Bell bought by the Chenghuang Temple Management Committee was priced at 12 million, which was slightly cheaper than the eighteen Arhat statues.

And even so, the Chenghuang Temple Management Committee is still very happy.

For this last bronze drum, their bid was not low, and after negotiation, they finally gave it five million.

To imitate an ordinary bronze drum, even if it is the descendant of Yue Yu Bronze, it will only cost two to three million at most.

There must be a reason why Chen Wenzhe was given such great preferential treatment.

One is to come out on top and they need the sensation of the first bite.

Another one is that I hope that Chen Wenzhe will stop selling takeaways these days.

They did not ask not to sell it in the future, that is to say, they asked not to sell any more high imitation Jingyun Bells before the year before, or in the next six months.

This was originally planned by Chen Wenzhe, so he did not refuse.
