014 Lightning Thunder

Seeing that Xia Zhaoyi really didn't want to drink porridge, Qian Qianqian had no choice but to take the bowl and leave.

The other door was closed, and the light in the room dimmed by half.

Xia Zhaoyi looked at Xiaowu and Xiaorong and said calmly: "You are back."

"It's better than lying around like this." Xiao Wu couldn't help but said.

Xiao Rong glared at her, Xiao Wu curled his lips and walked towards his bed.

"I picked some wild fruits and brought them back." Xia Zhaoyi looked at the small cabinet over there, "You guys can eat some to moisten your throat."

"Wild fruit?" Xiao Wu also looked over, his eyes brightening.

Xiao Rong walked over and saw that there were really four or five wild fruits in the cabinet. They were bright in color and about the size of a fist. A burst of aromatic fruity smell assaulted her nostrils.

She was never greedy, and she couldn't help but drool.

"Where are you from?" She turned back to look at Xia Zhaoyi.

"Picked on the mountain," Xia Zhaoyi said, "I went to collect medicine for myself today, and I picked some when I saw it."

"No wonder you don't want that porridge, it turns out you ate better." Xiao Wu took a wild fruit, and seeing that Xiao Rong didn't object, he wiped it with his sleeve.

Be it wild fruits or porridge, rice is the basis of food.

Xia Zhaoyi smiled and said nothing.

Xiao Wu opened her mouth and took a bite, and the sweet juice suddenly filled her mouth. She took another bite in disbelief, turned to look at Xiao Rong, and opened her eyes in an exaggerated way: "It's delicious."

Xiao Rong wanted to stop her, but these fruits were really tempting. Finally, she picked up a fruit, put it in her mouth and took a bite.

The flesh is crispy and tender, and the sweet aroma spreads wantonly in the mouth. Xiao Wu looked at her expectantly: "How is it? Is it delicious?"

Xiao Rong nodded, glanced at Xia Zhaoyi, and went to sit on the bed over there.

"You are so brave," Xiao Wu looked at Xia Zhaoyi again, "When did you go to the mountain to pick it? How dare you go there alone to collect herbs? Oh, no, Ah Li, do you still know about herbal medicine?"

"Don't you know how to read?" Xia Zhaoyi replied with a faint smile.

Xiao Wu was stunned, and Xiao Rong over there also paused and turned to look at Xiao Wu.

Xiao Wu looked a little uneasy, pinched the fruit and said, "Didn't I tell you not to say it?"

"Then don't tell others about me running out alone. Does this make us even?" Xia Zhaoyi was still smiling.

Xiao Wu looked at her, indescribably weird.

There was no need for her to bring these wild fruits back, let alone tell them that she went to the mountains alone to collect herbs and fruits.

How would they know if she didn't tell her.

Why did you say it?

Xiao Rong said coldly at this time: "Go to sleep."

Xiao Wu turned around and saw that her sister had already made the bed.

She nodded: "Yeah."

In fact, Xia Zhaoyi didn't have any special ideas. She just felt that these little girls were the lowest and humblest group in the entire mountain, so when she encountered sweet and delicious wild fruits, she couldn't help but bring some back for them to taste.

Qian Qianqian has Yu's mother and many servants there, so it's not suitable to bring her there, so she can only give it to the little girl in this house.

But now it seems that the minds of these little girls have been tempered by the atmosphere in this backyard.

Before dawn, the pounding heavy rain woke everyone up.

Several servant girls who were still asleep came running over with their raincoats on their heads and called for help, asking everyone to help clean up the yard.

The servants, women, and slaves ran out one after another, and suddenly there was a thunder in the sky, and the rumble of thunder was like thousands of horses galloping towards it, hammering the entire Zhaoyun Mountain hard.

"Water!" Bian Yuanxue, who was unable to sleep due to the noise, sat up angrily and shouted outside.

Chen Tang, who was outside the screen, stood up quickly after hearing this, poured water and ran in: "Miss."

Bian Yuanxue took a sip and threw it out: "I want it warm!"

Chen Tang was stunned. The pounding rain outside the house never stopped for a moment, not to mention the occasional dull thunder.

"Wen!" Bian Yuanxue raised his head and said angrily, "Go!"

"Yes, yes." Chen Tang said bravely, "Miss, please wait a moment, I will go to the backyard to give you instructions."

After closing the door, Chen Tang held up an umbrella, stepped down the steps and ran towards the back hill.

The sky flashed again, blindingly bright, and then the thunder crashed down, and Chen Tang's legs almost gave out.

The entire front mountain is quiet and deserted. The courtyards and open spaces in the courtyards are either flat or rugged, and the pitted rainwater on the ground can reflect the scene of the sky being cut open by purple lightning.

The mountain wind roared, Chen Tang quickened his pace, and finally saw the stone bridge leading to the back mountain.

There was a firelight on the opposite side, and the servant women and slave boys were running back and forth. From time to time, Aunt Feng's sharp voice could be heard, yelling something over there.

At this time, it was raining heavily, and Chen Tang's umbrella was blown upside down. She quickly tightened it with her hands and hid under the tree on the other side of the stone bridge.

There was another loud noise, and the trees on the mountainside were blown wildly. A big tree suddenly fell to the ground, its roots still connected to the soil, and it hung upside down on the edge of the cliff.

Just in time, another bolt of lightning suddenly illuminated the cliff.

Chen Tang was looking at that place, and in the flash of bright light, she seemed to see a woman in green.

Chen Tang blinked and stood up to see clearly.

At this moment, there was a sudden thunder, and she raised her head in response, then opened her mouth wide, and her pupils dilated in fear. Before she could make any sound, the lightning that came straight from her eyes struck her into pieces.

With a charred corpse.

"Hurry, hurry up!" Aunt Feng was very angry and ordered the servants, "Go and have a look inside the pig pen over there, and bring the raincloth for the shed!"

"The water is getting bigger and bigger over there," a girl ran over and shouted, "the stones on the other side of the stone bridge seem to be loosening."

"Which way?!" Aunt Feng was furious at these successive situations.

"The stone bridge!" The girl pointed out, "It may collapse!"

Aunt Feng looked around, but her eyes fell on the old pine tree on the hilltop opposite.

Lightning was lying across the sky, and a dark figure was leaning over there, with faint firelight flickering on his body, flickering in and out of light in the rain.

Aunt Feng blinked and took a few steps forward.

Several servants and girls nearby also looked over.

Several bolts of lightning split the sky, and then a thunder crashed down.

Several girls covered their mouths with their hands and looked up at Aunt Feng blankly.

"Let's wait until daybreak and thunder calms down." Aunt Feng said in a deep voice with a solemn face.

It wasn't until 4:06 that the thunderstorm gradually calmed down.

At first light, across the mountains and swamps, the stone bridge over there has not collapsed, but it looks shaky, and no one dares to step forward.

Several maids came running from the front mountain holding umbrellas. They had just been woken up by Bian Yuanxue, and their faces did not look good.

After searching all the way, when they reached the stone bridge, a maid screamed first and pointed to the tree.

"What a fuss," Mrs. Liang stood next to Aunt Feng and looked at them, mockingly saying, "These yellow-haired girls usually act so cruel and mischievous, but they don't look like they are afraid of death at all."

"Misfortune comes from the mouth." Aunt Feng gave her a cold look.
