Chapter 1 Xuan Diao's baby-raising life before the age of eight (1)

At the beginning of the night, the cool breeze blows through, and the moonlight obscured by clouds and mist is lifted. The moonlight shines like white powder, coating the vast and dense forest with a clear silver glow. The scenery is as quiet and beautiful as a splash-ink painting, with the sound of beasts ringing from time to time.

It screams, but it declares that there are dangers inside this jungle.

In the countryside near the forest, two figures sneakily walked out of a nearby village and headed towards the forest that the villagers usually did not dare to approach.

"Go faster." The tall man walking in front lowered his voice and urged impatiently while using the wooden stick in his hand to clear the way.

"Mr. sir..." The woman behind him followed closely, watching the man hesitate to speak and just hugged the baby who was still sleeping in his arms tightly.

"Hurry up." The man quickened his pace and used the moonlight to survey the surrounding environment. The quiet suburbs and darkness in the distance made people feel uneasy and fearful.

The two of them quickened their pace, their old linen clothes stained with the wet soil under their feet.

A quarter of an hour later, the two came to the edge of the forest. The tall and dense forest looked like a beast with its mouth open in the darkness. The roar of beasts from time to time was even more frightening. The two did not dare to get close, and their legs were a little shaky.

soft.

"Just throw this money-losing thing here."

"Mr. sir..." The woman looked around uneasily, "How about we go back first and discuss it later..."

"Go back?" The man's eyes flashed with a fierce look, "I risked my life and secretly came here in the middle of the night just to get rid of this money-losing thing. If you said you would go back, wouldn't my trip have been in vain?!"

"Ms. sir..." The woman looked at her daughter, who was only three months old, with tears in her eyes.

"Don't wait too long. What's the point of being reluctant to part with a fool who can't cry when he's born? There's already a loser in the family, and we can't afford to raise another one!"

The man looked at his tearful wife, feeling a little sorry for the woman who had been with him for more than ten years and had given birth to his children. He softened his tone and said, "Madam, my daughter is still at home alone. When you are well, we can have sex again."

With a son, we will have a better life."

The man's slow tone made the woman feel sad and tears fell down. She also knew the situation at home and was shaken.

The woman gently placed the swaddling clothes and the baby girl on the grass, her tears like broken silver beads.

Seeing the woman put down the baby girl, the man couldn't stand the darkness and the faint roar of animals around him any longer, so he quickly pulled the woman away, and the figure disappeared into the twilight.

The cool breeze at night brought with it a chill, leaving the woman's warm embrace. The swaddling clothes made of linen could not retain any warmth at all. The baby girl curled up her hands and feet unconsciously, and her little face turned red.

Stimulated by the cold, she opened her dark eyes and saw an unfamiliar scenery in front of her. The fuzzy and warm figure of the past was no longer there. She did not cry, but just screamed uneasily at the top of her voice.

Her petite body was too fragile. After a while, her voice gradually weakened, her eyelids drooped, and her consciousness gradually became blurred.

Suddenly, a warmth enveloped her body, dispelling the chill. Her curled up body gradually relaxed and she fell asleep again.

Not long after, a dark shadow flashed out of the forest, as if guided by something, and landed exactly next to the sleeping baby girl.

It is completely black and is only a foot long. Its slender and soft hair fluoresces under the moonlight, its fluffy little ears twitch, its little tail is neatly placed behind its back, and its emerald-like green pupils look curiously.

Looking at the sleeping little guy in front of him, his little black nose was particularly moist, and he made a gentle "squeaking" sound from his mouth.

This is a black marten.

Xuan Diao leaned its small body towards the sleeping baby girl, bared its teeth at her, "Zhizhi."

Seeing that the little guy in front of him didn't respond at all, Xuan Diao suddenly felt bored and rolled his eyes very humanely. When Tathagata came, he turned into a black shadow and ran into the forest.

After a while, Xuan Diao came back. He looked at the little guy in front of him, seemed to be thinking for a moment, and suddenly his body grew three feet tall. He took the baby girl into the dense forest with the swaddling clothes in his mouth.

Outside the forest, a black figure blended perfectly into the night and wandered through the forest, and then quietly landed in front of a tall ancient tree that would take twenty adults to surround. The ancient tree's strong root system and the inside of the tree formed a

A natural tree hole.

There were several large unknown leaves spread in the middle of the tree hole, and there were many unknown plants emitting light fluorescence around it. There was also a small puddle next to it. Next to the puddle, there were several leaves with bloody meat slices on them.

There is no doubt that this is Xuan Diao's home.

Xuan Diao took the baby girl into the tree hole, placed it on the big leaf in the middle, shrank back to its original size, and lay down next to the baby girl.

Looking at the little guy next to him, Xuan Diao was a little irritable.

"Squeak, squeak, squeak!" It rubbed its head angrily with its little paws, and then turned into a black shadow and blended into the night.

There is its smell around the tree hole, and no other monsters will come close. The little human guy is safe, but it needs to be quiet.

The night has faded and dawn has fallen. The July sunshine is still quite warm. The morning breeze blows gently. The sunlight passes through the leaves and dyes the thick tree trunks a fresh green color. It is peaceful and far-reaching.

The black marten wandered around all night and returned to the tree hole listlessly. When they arrived at the entrance of the hole, they heard the baby howling. It might have been for a while, but the sound was small and hoarse.

Xuan Diao was so excited that he quickly ran into the hole, took a leaf, scooped water from the small puddle, and fed it to the little guy's mouth.

But because he was fed too quickly, the little guy choked and coughed, his face turned red, and he finally recovered.

Just as Xuan Diao breathed a sigh of relief, the little guy looked at it with big black eyes and barked again.

Xuan Diao hurriedly scooped up some more water and handed it to the little guy's mouth. This time he fed it very slowly, but the little guy stopped drinking after a few sips and started to scream again.

"Zhizhi." Xuan Diao was stunned, and then with a flash of inspiration, he pulled off a small piece of meat from the edge of the puddle.

The little guy resisted and forcefully fed it in. Of course, the little guy spat it out in the end. The originally white and tender face was wrinkled, and the mouth was full of blood, staining the swaddling cloth.

Xuan Diao scratched his head and looked at the little guy a little confused: "Zhizhi?"

Looking at the poor little guy, Xuan Diao opened his eyes and jumped out of the tree hole. Not long after, he had a branch in his mouth with more than a dozen green-yellow fruits on it, which looked very tempting.

Xuan Diao plucked a fruit, brought it to the little guy's mouth, squeezed his paws towards the middle, and suddenly the clear juice fell into the little guy's mouth.

The sweet and sour juice was mixed with the blood that had not been cleaned before. The little guy's expression never relaxed, but maybe because he knew that this was the only food at the moment, the little guy didn't vomit it out like before.

After Xuan Diao pinched six fruits, the little guy was full and probably tired, so he fell asleep again.
