Volume 2: The Case of the Red Lotus in the Ancient Temple Chapter 30: The case is very simple

When Duan Ming came to Xing Qianqiu's room, Xing Qianqiu was studying a pattern.

Seeing Duan Ming walking in, Xing Qianqiu was not surprised at all, as if he had already calculated that Duan Ming would come at this moment.

"Tell me about it." Duan Ming sat next to Xing Qianqiu and stretched lazily on the ground: "Although I heard some things in Linyang City, there are always things that are added, jealous or distorted.

Now, you'd better start from the beginning."

"Okay." Xing Qianqiu put down the pattern in his hand, and then told Duan Ming what happened.

It was about ten days ago, which was the tenth day of the seventh lunar month, during the Mu Buddha Festival.

According to legend, before the Buddha achieved enlightenment, he had to endure three disasters and nine calamities. The "three calamities" were the calamity of greed and delusion, the calamity of fate, and the calamity of slander.

The tribulations include the tribulation of entering the earth, the tribulation of thunder in the sky, the tribulation of vain heart, the tribulation of three thousand dreams, and the tribulation of the afterlife.

Among them, the Karmic Fire Tribulation is on the tenth day of the seventh month.

Buddhas all over the world believe that the Karma Fire Tribulation is a kind of training to burn past sins and condense the golden body. Therefore, every day on this day, they will hold Dharma meetings, hoping to receive the blessing of the Buddha, bathe in the Buddha's glory, and successfully survive this calamity.

.

Over time, it became the Buddha Mu Festival, which is regarded as one of the largest grand gatherings in Buddhism.

Closer to home, on the tenth day of the seventh lunar month, Brahma Xing Temple, a holy place for Buddhism in the world, held a grand Dharma assembly during the day.

Countless people who believe in Buddhism come to pray for blessings. People come and go on the Buddhist path. The incense burns continuously for several hours without stopping.

That night, many monks were exhausted after a busy day and returned to their respective rooms early to rest.

The monks on night duty that day were three monks: Fawu, Faneng and Faming.

These three monks will patrol the temple every once in a while to see if there is anything unusual.

And at around 2:00 pm, the empty Mahavira Palace suddenly burst into flames. The fire was so fierce that it actually lit up half of the sky.

The monk who had fallen into a deep sleep heard the shouts of the three monks Fawu and saw the flames rising into the sky. He hurriedly came out to put out the fire with all his strength.

Fortunately, there was no wind at night, and since the other wings of the Main Hall were not connected, a greater disaster was avoided.

But despite this, it took the monks all over the temple an hour to put out the fire.

By the time the fire was extinguished, the entire Mahavira Hall was almost in flames. Except for the two-foot-tall Buddha in the hall (one foot is about 3.33 meters), all the rest were burned.

And the weirdest thing is the big Buddha.

This giant Buddha was a gift from Duke Xuan of the Xuan Kingdom of Qi when the Brahma Xing Temple was built. It is made entirely of pure gold and has a solemn and solemn shape.

A hundred years later, even the Xuan Kingdom had been destroyed by Da Qi, but except for minor wear and tear on this golden body, there was no major damage.

However, now, after the fire, the golden Buddha itself has turned into a dark color, and the solemn Buddha statue has become like an evil ghost.

This is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that there is a red blood lotus pattern on the forehead of the Buddha body, and there are two lines of blood and tears under his eyes.

And just on the chest of the Buddha, there are two more lines of words: The demon fox appears in the world and brings trouble to the palace. The red lotus karma fire cleanses away the evil spirits!

"Palace?" After listening to Xing Qianqiu's story, Duan Ming smiled and shook his head: "This is aimed at the queen again."

"That's right." Xing Qianqiu nodded: "As soon as this incident came out, the court was agitated, and the Empress Dowager wanted to have His Majesty abolish and re-establish the throne, so much that the Chongde Hall could hardly contain it."

"So, the emperor took pictures of your Mirror Division? Ordered the Mirror Division to solve the case within a time limit?" Duan Ming said.

"That's right, but there's no time limit," Xing Qianqiu said.

"It's too frustrating to be the queen." Duan Ming said with a smile: "Obviously no one was offended, but so many people dislike her and always make a fuss about her."

"Mr. Duan, be careful what you say." Xing Qianqiu said.

"Okay, no more." Duan Ming shook his head: "Is there anything else? Your Mirror Division has been here to check for several days, but nothing has been found?"

"Indeed." Xing Qianqiu sighed: "We interrogated every monk in the temple. That day was the Buddha's Day. After finishing their work, all the monks returned to the wing to rest together. No one went out during the trip."

"What about before they returned to the wing?" Duan Ming asked, "Did nothing change on the Golden Buddha?"

"There is no change." Xing Qianqiu said solemnly: "There is no trace of black on it, let alone a trace of blood."

"What do the three Fawu people who patrolled the night say?" Duan Ming asked again.

"The three of them have been together at night, and no one has acted alone." Xing Qianqiu said: "And the monk's rest time is around the fourth quarter of You hour, and the fire ignited around the second quarter of Hai hour, which means that there were only a few people on the way.

In two hours, it would be impossible to dye the Buddha black and write blood words on it in such a short time without the cooperation of more than ten people."

"Indeed." Duan Ming nodded.

You must know that in ancient times, an hour was about two hours, with a total of eight quarters.

A quarter is about fifteen minutes.

The fourth quarter of You hour is converted to the current time, which is about 18:00, and the second quarter of Hai hour is converted to the current time, which is about 21:30.

That is, there was a total gap of three and a half hours.

Then Duan Ming, accompanied by Xing Qianqiu, arrived at the burned-down Main Hall.

At this moment, the Main Hall looks extremely miserable. The bricks on the roof of the hall have been damaged by the fire, and the surrounding walls are even more charred.

"This is really a giant Buddha." Duan Ming walked into the main hall, looked up at the black giant Buddha in front of him, and nodded in admiration.

This giant Buddha is nearly seven meters high. Counting the base and lotus platform below, it reaches about nine meters.

"Alas, the giant Buddha that has lived for hundreds of years will inevitably suffer such disasters." Xing Qianqiu sighed: "Natural disasters are really ruthless."

"Maybe." Duan Ming smiled, climbed up to the big Buddha with great effort, carefully checked the blood letters and patterns on the big Buddha, and then reached out and buttoned the big Buddha.

Xing Qianqiu stood aside without speaking, looking at Duan Ming expectantly.

"Old Xing, lend me your knife." Duan Ming called.

"Here." Xing Qianqiu threw the knife on his waist to Duan Ming without hesitation. Duan Ming took out the knife and carefully scratched the Buddha statue, and at the same time carefully caught the falling debris with a piece of cloth.

Xing Qianqiu looked at Duan Ming in confusion, wondering why Duan Ming did this.

"Okay." After a moment, Duan Ming put away the knife and threw it back to Xing Qianqiu.

Then, Duan Ming put the things in his arms and climbed down from the Buddha statue.

"How is it, Mr. Duan?" Xing Qianqiu asked hurriedly: "Did you find something?"

"This case is very simple!" Duan Ming said with a smile...
