This part of the plot is a disaster caused by the rat tide. The parents' association has just established a defense line, and Qingchen is going to the city again and again to connect the time walkers to the lower third district.
The more important modification is that in the original text, Qingchen stepped forward to lead the parents' association to save the city residents, which was a bit blunt.
Therefore, the influence of Wrench and Hawthorn on Qingchen was inserted into this plot. That is, after the two Kunlun members rescued people on Laojun Mountain, Qingchen deciphered the Morse code and left the note in his wallet.
Using such details to induce Qingchen's transformation can be regarded as filling a hole.
In addition, there was originally a scene in this plot where Qingchen heroically saved a passerby, but I thought about it carefully today and found that although Qingchen is changing, his change is not particularly great and selfless.
Therefore, in this plot, Qingchen's choice is more inclined to save the 'savable' and give up the 'unsavable', which lacks the flavor of the Holy Mother. This is probably what the Bodhisattva means when he saves people, but not fools.
