Chapter 31: Department of Curses and Forbidden Affairs, in charge of the affairs of ghosts and gods

The news spread back to Wenyang Town.

Wang Zunzhi passed away with a long smile.

After Wang Hongyi heard the news, he left the handling staff behind and returned to Wenyang Town.

The whole world was also shocked.

Especially Wei Yue, a powerful official in the imperial court.

At the beginning, he specially gave Wang Hongyi the title of "General of the Northern Expedition" in order to entangle Wei Cundong and Wang Hongyi in their rebellion and restrict them to Shu.

But I don’t think Wang Hongyi is too capable.

In just a few months, he defeated Wei Cundong and unified Dongyizhou in Shu.

Wei Yue realized that he could not indulge Wang Hongyi like this, otherwise within a year, he might unify Shu and break the soil and become king!

Therefore, Wei Yue, in the name of the little emperor, issued an edict to praise Wang Hongyi lavishly, summon Wang Hongyi back to the capital, and confer him the title of Marquis of Shu.

Wang Hongyi is not stupid, of course he knows that if he goes there, he will be a sheep in the tiger's mouth, and he will be unable to control himself.

So he ate the sugar coating and threw the cannonball back. Since Wang Zunzhi had just died of illness, he wanted to stay filial and not travel far.

But he took the title of Lord of Shu. The court refused to give it to him, so he took it himself!

The court was naturally furious. Wei Yue angrily denounced Wang Hongyi as a treasonous and unethical person and called on the world to attack him.

But...that's it!

Shu is remote and beyond the reach of the imperial court. However, other vassal towns that are capable do not approach Shu, and those who are close to Shu are not as powerful as Wang Hongyi.

Wang Hongyi is safe and sound.

The face of the imperial court was thrown to the ground and trampled on by Wang Hongyi!

In this way, Wang Hongyi was rectifying the military and political affairs in the six prefectures of Dongyizhou, taking care of Wang Zunzhi's funeral affairs, and preparing for the ceremony of the Marquis of Shu.

This day.

The former Jiedushi's residence in Wenyang Town.

Wang Hongyi doesn't like general increase and waste, so he still works here.

Wu Siyuan came floating in the air.

Wang Hongyi felt moved, put down his government affairs, and met Wu Siyuan in the garden.

Although Wang Hongyi conquered Dongyi Prefecture at the age of eighteen and planned to proclaim himself the Marquis of Shu, he was regarded as an unparalleled hero in the world.

But facing Wu Siyuan, he has always been wary.

After all, you can’t imagine how powerful a person is who can constantly bring out war horses, cattle, high-quality wheat seeds, heavy armor, sharp weapons, and crossbows!

He can use these things to support him today.

What about next time he supports someone else?

The most important point is that so far, Wang Hongyi has not found out where Wu Siyuan got these supplies from!

This was what worried him the most, and even made him a little afraid.

This is also the reason why he now controls the six prefectures of Dongyizhou and his power is unparalleled in Shu, but he still attaches great importance to Wu Siyuan.

Wu Siyuan said he came to see him, and he put down all government affairs and came over.

Two people sipping tea in the garden.

Wang Hongyi looked calm.

Wu Siyuan smiled faintly and said, "Master Wang, when we met that day, you were just the eighth-grade Colonel Guo Yi, in charge of the second battalion of soldiers, and were stationed in Jishui County. Today, you are already sitting in Dongyizhou, with fierce generals under your command.

Ruyun, with an army of 30,000, has become a famous figure in the world, and he should be named the Marquis of Shu."

"What I have today is half of your contribution. Without you, I don't know how long it will take me to reach this point!" Wang Hongyi pursed his lips and looked at Wu Siyuan and said.

really.

If Wu Siyuan had not been the [Transportation Brigade Captain] in this life, even if Wang Hongyi could unify Dongyi Prefecture, it would not have been so early or so easy.

It will be a year at the earliest!

When it comes to the real dragon seizing the tripod, a quick step can be said to be a quick step by step!

Wang Hongyi has already taken the lead!

Wu Siyuan smiled, did not mince words, and said straight to the point, "Today's investment should be rewarded today!"

"As long as I have it, I can share it with you!" Wang Hongyi said immediately.

"I just want an order from you! Mr. Wang, do you still remember what I said to you? I said that I want to cut down mountains and destroy temples, reorganize Shinto, and also attack some monastic sects that are causing trouble."

Wu Siyuan shook his head, the glory and wealth in the world were just a passing thought to him, he said.

Wang Hongyi knows what Wu Siyuan wants!

Humanity determines the tripod.

Dragon energy has a strong suppressive effect on the magic of Shinto and Qi masters.

The so-called law is not as good as noble people!

An imperial edict stamped with the emperor's seal can completely imprison a real man's magic power, making him unable to use any spells, and ultimately killing him with swords.

What Wu Siyuan wants is such a will that can suppress the gods and ghosts, as well as the power to deal with strange things about the gods and ghosts.

After Wang Hongyi pondered for a while, he said, "I want to set up the Curse and Forbidden Department. The chief officer will be Dr. Cursing and Forbidden, who is the ninth grade. Under it, there will be a Cursing and Forbidden Master, a Cursing and Forbidden Disciple, and a Cursing and Forbidden Apprentice. In this case, you will do this.

Doctor Cursed, please take charge of the affairs of ghosts and gods in the area."

Since ancient times, China has believed in spreading plagues, expelling epidemics, spells, curses and other spells, and this has been heard from time to time in local areas, not to mention the center of the imperial court. It has always been the scene of the most intense struggles in the world. For the sake of power and fame, it can be said that anything is done.

It was extremely unnecessary, so the government specifically set up the post of Doctor of Curses, which also included Curses Masters, Curses Masters, Curses Apprentices, etc., forming a tight line of defense to prevent evil spirits such as witchcraft and poison from harming people.

Then why did the imperial court only set this as the ninth rank?

In fact, it is very simple. Once these people involved in Shinto magic gain an official position, they can extract their luck, so they have no official position or have a low official rank to avoid extracting too much.

The imperial court has consistently refused to grant official positions to qigong practitioners or monks throughout the ages, and there is actually a very big reason for this.

No matter what dynasty, once titles such as Five Seal Generals, National Advisors, etc. are given to those Qi refiners or monks, it means that the country's fortunes will decline.

In the history of the earth, Emperor Wenxuan of the Northern Qi Dynasty ordered the eminent monk Fachang to enter the palace to teach the "Nirvana Sutra" and respected him as the national preceptor. The name of the national preceptor began with this, and the dynasty ended in the twenty-eighth year.

Emperor Chen Xuan of the Chen Dynasty in the Southern Dynasty once took Tiantai Zhiyi as the Bodhisattva preceptor, but he perished after only thirty-three years.

Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty also regarded Zhi Yi as the preceptor of the Bodhisattva, so he was also called the national teacher. Zhi Yi during the reign of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Yang repeatedly ordered him to consult the Dharma essentials and perform rituals as the national teacher. The fate of the country was destroyed in the second generation.

When Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty was full of wisdom, he also had the title of National Master, and Wu Zetian came to the Tang Dynasty.

In the Song Dynasty, many monks were awarded titles, but none were given the title of National Master.

In the Yuan Dynasty, he was granted the title of Imperial Master and died in the ninety-nine year.

In the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Wuzong treated lamas preferentially and granted great titles to state teachers and Taoist practitioners. As a result, after Emperor Wuzong, the imperial court declined.

Of course, it cannot be said that these led to the demise of the dynasty, but the higher the status of these Qi refiners, the more they devoured the luck of the court. This is almost certain to be a fact.

Even if the imperial court is blessed with great fortune, it cannot be wasted.

Therefore, Wang Hongyi followed the old system and only gave official positions to the ninth grade, in order to prevent these Qi Refiners from taking away too much luck.

Unexpectedly, Wu Siyuan just shook his head after listening to Wang Hongyi's words.

Wang Hongyi's eyes suddenly condensed.
