Chapter 635 Twenty-three years of Han Chan

The distance from the Kingdom of Buddhism to Qiuci is very long, but it is only a short distance on the map. It crosses several mountains, crosses several Gobi deserts, and walks through a section of desert.

In fact, the sky here is full of wind and sand, and much of the land is saline-alkali land. The white salt-alkali blowing into the eyes makes people shed tears.

Yun Chu rode a bay-red horse at the front of the group. In order to reduce the excessive resistance brought by the wind on the bay-red horse, Yun Chu leaned down to reduce the windward area.

Naha put away her shoulder bag and sat on the camel, put her head on Dolma's lap and fell asleep.

Every step forward comes with a price.

The wind from the Western Region may blow to Chang'an, but no matter how violent the wind is, it will become gentle after reaching Chang'an.

When the last leaf falls from the willow tree, the bamboo flute is also blown. The sound of the bamboo flute here refers to the sound of the wind passing by the bamboo tips.

Woo hoo...

Whenever such a sound is heard, winter in Chang'an has arrived as promised.

People in Jinchangfang have never understood why the county magistrate asked the cleaning people to insist on sweeping the floor when the wind blows and leaves fall.

Later, the county magistrate did not explain to everyone, but now, people have become accustomed to the sweepers wrapping their faces in scarves, holding big brooms, standing in the cold wind, and sweeping away the endless leaves.

After the sweeper completely swept the street, the street was immediately covered with dead leaves. However, the sweeper didn't care because that was tomorrow's work.

The sweeper is the first person to wake up in Chang'an City, followed closely by the young novice who is responsible for opening the mountain gate.

The back door of Daci'en Temple faces the north, so when the mountain gate is open, it is very convenient for guests like Bei Feng to come in. Of course, they usually carry some dead leaves with them when they come in, and finally send the dead leaves to the Bell and Drum Tower.

, the Main Hall, the Sutra Library, the Dharma Hall, the dormitories, etc., to report the winter news to the monks there.

The northernmost building of Daci'en Temple is the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. However, the dead leaves didn't want to pay attention to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, so they walked around it and left.

Master Xuanzang was draped in a dark red sutra quilt, sitting on a cold bamboo bed with a mysterious smile on his face.

The reason why Master Xuanzang returned to Daci'en Temple from Qiyun Temple was entirely because he broke a wooden fish in Qiyun Temple.

The wooden fish was Master Xuanzang's obsession. Now that the wooden fish is broken, Master Xuanzang has come out of his predicament.

As soon as Master Xuanzang broke the wooden fish, he said "you are wronged", put on his cassock without shoes, and walked barefoot towards Chang'an City with a nine-ringed tin staff, just like he did when he traveled west.

At first, only a group of monks followed him. By the time he passed through Qujiang, Xuanzang was already followed by thousands of people.

When Master Xuanzang arrived at the gate of Chang'an City, there was already a sea of people behind him, and there were even many foolish men and women holding incense and candles in their hands, walking and worshiping.

Emperor Li Zhi, dressed in casual clothes, met Xuanzang in Chang'an City by car. He stopped the car and asked, "Has Master achieved enlightenment?"

Xuanzang said: "The inner demons are turbulent, the Sanskrit sounds are broken, the inner demons and the Sanskrit sounds have gone together, and I only have a skin bag left."

Li Zhi pondered for a moment and then asked: "Master, what have you seen?"

Xuanzang said: "I caught a glimpse of a tiny speck, but I regarded this tiny speck as the whole world. It's ridiculous, ridiculous."

Li Zhi asked: "What did the Master see?"

Xuanzang frowned and said: "There are iron birds flying in the sky and iron dragons running on the ground. People are attached to them. I don't know whether they are trapped by the iron birds or iron dragons or whether they are controlling the iron birds and iron dragons..."

Li Zhi frowned and said, "Didn't Master come closer and take a look?"

Xuanzang said: "If I take one step forward, the scene will take one step back. If I can't move forward five steps, the scene will disappear without a trace."

Li Zhi's eyes were filled with light. He looked at Xuanzang and said, "Master, does he know where that place is?"

Xuanzang sighed and said: "At the foot of the Qilian Mountains, by the Ruoshui River."

Li Zhi was silent and invited Master Xuanzang to get in the car and accompany him.

After a while, he asked Xuanzang again: "How does an iron bird fly? How does an iron dragon fly?"

Xuanzang shook his head and said, "I don't know!"

Li Zhi asked again: "Past or future?"

Master Xuanzang smiled and said: "I thought it was the future."

Li Zhi finally asked: "Is this Han Chan who has trapped the Master for twenty-three years?"

Master Xuanzang nodded and said: "Han Chan, Han Chan, I thought that the cicada would not survive more than ten months, but one cicada actually lived for twenty-three years."

Li Zhi smiled and said: "There is a cicada in the world that can live for twenty-three years."

Xuanzang laughed and said: "It was just a temporary illusion of the old monk. Now that I have broken through the illusion and returned to myself, I should return to my Buddha's throne."

Li Zhi sent Master Xuanzang back to Daci'en Temple and then returned to the palace. On the way back, there was a sarcastic look on his face.

Wu Mei asked: "I heard that Master Xuanzang broke through the barrier, and your majesty will gain something by welcoming him?"

Li Zhi laughed and said: "It's just that after hearing that the Buddhist Kingdom was established, the old monk was impatient and came to Da Ci'en Temple to wait for Naha's return so that he could witness the birth of his Buddhist Kingdom with his own eyes."

Wu Mei said: "There's more to the mage than that, right?"

Li Zhi said: "Under Yinshan Mountain, by the Weishui River, there are iron birds flying in the sky, and iron dragons winding on the ground. There are people attached to the iron birds and iron dragons. I don't know if people are trapped in the iron birds, iron dragons, or...

Iron birds and iron dragons are controlled by others.

This is Hanchan, Hanchan, who has trapped Master Xuanzang for twenty-three years!"

Wu Mei suddenly laughed loudly and said: "Yunchu is twenty-three years old this year. Hahaha, it's a pity that Xuanzang, a generation of eminent monks, has been bound to a son for twenty-three years. Now that he has returned to his true self, he must have accomplished something."

At this moment, I suddenly remembered the advice given to me by Mrs. Yu of Yunmen, which was called - The hearts of parents in the world are pitiful.

It turns out that this sentence comes from this, hahahaha... Your Majesty, there are such wonderful things in the world, how can you not have a drink?"

Li Zhi smiled and nodded, but before the couple drank, Li Zhi still gave Zuo Chun an order to thoroughly search the vast area under the Yin Mountain and beside the Ruoshui River.

In the evening, as arranged by Yu Xiurong, when Li Si took the food box to deliver food to Master Xuanzang, he saw that the main hall of the Great Ci'en Temple was full of monks. Because there were only some dim lights in the main hall, it was dark.

Only the monks' bald heads could reflect a little light, so Li Si carried the food box and leaned against the pillar and walked towards Master Xuanzang.

After walking a little way, she was caught by a fat monk, who hissed at her, took her hand and left the hall.

Li Si was extremely frightened. Fortunately, she immediately recognized that the person who captured her was Master Guiji.

Master Guiji took the food box and said, "Don't bring food these days. Master Xuanzang is giving lectures."

Li Si looked at the tall and fat Master Qiuji and said, "Don't you want to eat, old monk?"

Master Qiuji smiled and said: "Old monk eats food from the Great Ci'en Temple."

Li Si added: "The food at Da Ci'en Temple is not delicious, but the food at my house is so delicious. What I am giving you today is the old monk's favorite bean rice."

Master Qiuji touched Li Si's head and sent her away from Daci'en Temple.

After Li Si returned home and told Yu Xiurong what had happened, Yu Xiurong looked disappointed and said to Cui Yao: "What happened to Master Xuanzang in Qiyun Temple?"

Cui Yao said: "I don't know. People at home said that Master Xuanzang was banging the wooden fish and chanting sutras just a moment ago. After breaking the wooden fish with a hammer, Master Xuanzang put on his cassock and didn't even wear shoes while holding the ring staff.

Left Qiyun Temple.

So, it’s not that something happened to Qiyun Temple, it was something that happened to Master Xuanzang, but something happened to his head.”

Yu Xiurong asked: "Is this a good thing or a bad thing for our family?"

Cui Yao chuckled and said: "If the prince is really the master's son, anything that happens to the master's enlightenment will be a good thing for the Yun family."

Yu Xiurong said with some distress: "My husband has always said no, denied it in front of His Majesty, and denied it on many occasions. This has made it difficult for us to benefit from the good fortune of Master Xuanzang."

Cui Yao smiled and said: "Madam, do you hope that the prince is the son of Master Xuanzang, or do you not?"

Yu Xiurong said angrily: "I am just a snobbish little girl, but I don't have the noble thoughts of those people. If my husband is really the son of Master Xuanzang, I can openly take advantage of Buddhism and make the Yun family become a

Chinese people in the Tang Dynasty.”

Prince Li Honglai always entered the Yun family directly. After hearing the words of Yu Xiurong and Cui Yao at the door, he said loudly before entering: "My father and mother are very sure that the master is the son of Master Xuanzang."

Yu Xiurong was startled, stood up quickly, ruffled the handkerchief in his hand, and anxiously asked Li Hong who came in: "What did you say?"

Li Hong chuckled and said: "When I went to see my father in the afternoon, I found him and my mother drinking. He also said that Master Xuanzang sat in cold Zen for twenty-three years in order to stop thinking about the world.

Master Xuanzang also transformed twenty-three years of cold Zen into twenty-three years of cold cicada, which means that the master's long-cherished thought has been lurking in Master Xuanzang's heart like a chilling cicada for twenty-three years. Now, this

The cold cicada has already broken through Master Xuanzang's heart and is about to become a cicada.

Thus, Master Xuanzang achieved great liberation."

After hearing Li Hong's words, Cui Yao frowned and said, "Hanchan's life is only ten months old. Doesn't it mean that from now on, Master Xuanzang will no longer be in charge of the princes?"

He was greatly liberated, but the king was left alone in the world?"

Yu Xiurong raised his leg and kicked Cui Yao's calf and said, "What does it mean to be alone? If it weren't for me and a few children, it would be lonely there."

Cui Yao said angrily: "I practice Confucianism, and I don't like the monks' ruthless and righteous looks. How can the family relationship between father and son be given up?

They are just heartless people."

Li Hong finally got a chance to interrupt, so he came to Yu Xiurong's side and said: "I think Master Xuanzang's approach and explanation are more clever.

This time, although Master Xuanzang did not say it explicitly, in the hearts of my father and my mother, Master Xuanzang will come to mind whenever I mention the master.

Master Xuanzang is a master of the world. He can give up. My father, the Queen and the Empress do not think so.

In short, this incident will only consolidate the master’s position in the hearts of my father, the emperor, and my queen, especially my mother, who is a devout believer in Buddhism.”
