A brief summary of the fifth volume of 'The Stars Are Coming'

This volume is finally finished

Drum, applause...

Being tired is like running an exhausting long-distance run. You already know that you can't run anymore, but you still have to keep going.

I am going to start reading alone again. Although I don’t know if everyone will read this simple summary that I wrote with great care. Anyway, I wrote it with great care.

Writing this is, on the one hand, to explain to you what I want to express, and on the other hand, it is also to sort out my own thoughts.

Anyway, thank you for listening to me talking to myself.

(bow--)

To sum up, this is a rather troubled volume.

In terms of word count, from chapters 346 to 445, no more, no less, exactly 100 chapters.

Yes, all this is within my exquisite calculation!

(Actually not——)

I started writing this volume of 210,000 words on 22.10.06. I was on vacation for more than a month because I returned to China, so I didn’t finish it until 22.12.18, which took almost two and a half months.

Although there were big problems with the update, it was finished with a lot of stumbling.

The good news is that after returning to China for a month's leave, although I have gained a lot of weight, at least my physical condition is much stronger now than before.

I should be able to live longer! (subjectively)

The bad news is that I was confused about writing this volume.

It's really confusing, even... painful.

There are subjective reasons why my fragile heart is broken again and again, and I am constantly patching things up. There are also some objective reasons.

I won’t talk about the cliché and annoying things about pursuing studies and grades.

I am really tired of talking.

I have said it many, many times, and the summary is that people who watch it will watch it no matter what, and people who don’t watch it will never watch it no matter how much they say.

I am a rose in bud now - I want to bloom.

Let’s not talk about those sad things. Let’s mainly talk about what I want to write in this volume.

The overall tone of the previous volume, the fourth volume "The Devil" is "hope, with some sadness and despair."

Following this volume, the background of the fifth volume is even more depressing than before.

The background color of this volume is - "Crazy".

It is not just a simple mental madness of a single individual, but a complex and diverse madness.

First, [Human Madness]

After losing his friend Song Yishun, the dwarf ax warrior Tataka, filled with grief and anger, took up his weapon and returned to the battlefield without hesitation.

The twisted and disobedient side of Grand Duke Hanthorn uses the most radical command methods, but he cares most about the death of his subordinates.

Led by Cole, those warriors who took the initiative to enter the battlefield actually had a certain degree of "craziness".

Human beings are crazy.

Second, [The Madness of Extraordinary Creatures]

Distorted faith, when thousands of years of persistence are distorted and deformed by the passage of time, what will be left in the end?

It's crazy.

Blindly believing that the gods will return, and doing whatever it takes to achieve this goal, reaches a pathological level.

Such fanatics will not hesitate to sacrifice others or themselves.

It was this kind of morbid madness that led to the sacrifice of the First Blood War Zone.

Extraordinary creatures are crazy.

Third, [The Madness of the Gods]

In this volume, the gods finally take the stage head-on.

The gods who have passed away, those souls who are called "dead souls from the past".

Mourner, Uchi, goat spirit, shamanic goddess.

They are already dead, but not completely dead. They are resisting their own death, trying to crawl out of the state of death and return to the human world.

When the one who died wakes up, it is not difficult to think about what kind of decision they will make with their little remaining reason.

They are also crazy.

Fourth, [Ning Feng’s Madness]

In fact, he has never been a normal person. His spirit is too strong, his ability to accept is too much beyond ordinary people, and his way of thinking is too cold.

This is not only described in this volume, but is gradually revealed in the details of each volume.

Ning Feng is rational. Except for a few people, he can think in an extremely rational way of thinking, including himself.

He always observes his injuries from an objective perspective, how to stop the bleeding, how to repair it, how to maximize the value of the body before it is scrapped...

This kind of rationality that treats all things equally, including oneself, is Ning Feng's cold nature, which is also a kind of madness.

Absolute sanity is absolute madness.

In this twisted and sick world, Ning Feng has long been twisted, but he has only maintained a superficial sense of normalcy.

But he is not crazy either. With Xilin and Jiang Wan as anchors, he has always maintained his normalcy.

Fifth, [The Madness of the World]

The first few points are the madness of individuals and groups, and the last point is the madness of the world.

Humans and extraordinary creatures have never laid down their weapons against each other in order to fight for the world.

This world is the treasure they fight for, and it is also a twisted battlefield.

They were born here, grew up here, and fought here until they died.

The content of this volume reveals the apparent peace. In fact, war has never been far away, and has always been taking place in unknown corners of the world.

Everyone living in it cannot escape this fate and must face it.

To put it more bluntly:

In this cruel world, everyone has actually gone crazy a long time ago, but the degree of madness is different.

It doesn’t mean that if you are more obviously crazy, I can laugh at you if I am less crazy.

We are all in the same ward, no one should laugh at anyone.

Everyone is going crazy, but no one has completely collapsed, and they are all struggling to maintain themselves.

And then...the gods are about to return!

Some people may feel that the ending of this volume is a bit abrupt, but I still have to say that it is actually not much different from my original plan.

The fifth volume, "The Stars Are Coming" is a connecting volume from the beginning.

A transitional volume from knowing the threat of the gods to facing the gods directly, laying the foundation for the future to fully face and wage war with the gods.

The gods came from behind the scenes to the stage, ready to begin their descent.

The third volume tells the world that "human beings can resist gods."

In the fifth volume, Ning Feng resisted the gods not just in words, but in real actions.

Become a god slayer and bury the fallen gods completely.

And one thing I need to admit is that the few days when I went back to China for vacation because I was too busy and did not update, this led to repeated changes in some plots of this volume.

Once you stop and think about it, you will have a different idea than before. Once you change it, you may go astray.

I wrote the outline of this volume three times by hand, and I don’t know how many times I revised the electronic version.

Then the question of whether to speed up the ending or finish it quickly (unfinished) also bothered me.

I have to admit, I thought about giving up.

When I found out that there were only 15 follow-up readers, or earlier, there were only 30 follow-up readers, my mentality collapsed once.

I want to cut off a large part of the plot at the end and rush straight to the ending, no matter how I give it an ending.

But...I found that I couldn't do it.

Whether it’s my inner resistance to eunuchs and bad jobs, or my actual operation, I can’t do it.

The current progress of the plot is very awkward, it is at a very delicate point, and there is no clue what is going on.

Speaking of the early stage, it doesn’t count.

In the later stages, you can't take too big a step, otherwise you'll get hurt.

In the end, I gave up and continued writing according to the original plan, just trying to speed up the writing and delete useless fragments.

At least, I want to be worthy of seeing you now.

And my own heart.

Since you have persevered all the way from the beginning of Tianbeng to now, why should you give up?

"Barry is only half of 90."

Ninety is over, let’s keep walking for the last ten.

Maybe, maybe it will get better.

Of course, I know, this is really just maybe.

I fully ordered "Sword of the Dawn" very early. I haven't read it since I was working and typing. I was sick in the past two days and I just caught up on it. Now I have read about 700 chapters.

Seeing now, I just want to say...

"Uncle Tong is awesome——" (broken voice)

It's really awesome, unmatched awesomeness.

Not to mention the mechanical and rigorous details in science fiction novels, the characterization alone made me admire it.

Regarding the fullness of the characters, the side descriptions, and the vivid personalities of the main characters...

So lovely!

My biggest impulse now is to write a character with funny attributes. (Happy)

This is not a whim, this is the result of my careful consideration.

Now this book is still a bit heavy at the end, and there is no chance for people to take a breath. I think the biggest reason is the lack of some funny jokes that can make people relax. (serious face)

If it is too rigid, it will break easily, and if it is stretched too tight, it will make people look tired.

Once again, I clearly realized the gap between my abilities and my ideas.

There is too much to say and too little to express.

To sum up, I am going to try to write something that makes me happy.

(Hmm...Have I ever said this before?)

Adjust your mentality as much as possible and try not to affect the plot development in the book.

The title of volume six is "Darkness", taken from Byron's poem "Darkness" of the same name.

The introduction to each volume is a short excerpt:

[There is only one thought left all over the land... there is only one death, quick and without dignity;]

[The famine penetrated the stomach and intestines... people died and their bodies were exposed in the wilderness, their flesh and bones were not covered;]

【Every barren land has been swept away.】

And, if nothing else, this is the penultimate volume.

If there is an accident, I really collapse and can't hold it in any longer. Then it will be the last volume. I think there is a high probability that it won't happen.

This is a volume that is prepared not to be a Riddler, but to reveal a lot of secrets.

At the same time, this will also be a story that may be simple, but may also be a little convoluted.

I hope I can show it completely, and I hope you can witness it with me.

In addition, Byron's poem "Darkness" is also quoted in George Martin's "Dreams in the Fever Night".

And talking about this bad old man reminds me of the painful experience of watching the "Song of Ice and Fire" entity when I was in junior high school.

I really don't like that book because...there are so many dead characters in it!

Even if it were a so-called serious fantasy for adults, too many people would die.

Too much!

I can still clearly remember one of the passages, which left a deep and negative shadow on me:

["She is not a prostitute, I did not buy her. Everything is a lie that my father ordered me to tell. Tessa... Tessa is Tessa, the farmer's daughter, who met you by chance on the road."]

ah--

It hurts!!!

I think this sentence should have some impression upon me after reading it.

If you don’t understand but want to understand, you’d better go to Baidu and search it yourself. I won’t write it down. It’s really too miserable...

This kind of scene... I feel pain just recalling it.

The little devil Tyrion broke through and shot his father to death with a crossbow. At that time, I also wanted to send the blade to George Martin, a bad old man.

I'm not taking Tyrion's place, I just really don't like this kind of persecutory description of innocent people.

correct!

It was him who made me start to consider for my own mental health and decide that I no longer want to touch those deep and cruel romance novels in this life.

Then don’t write it yourself!

After some calculation, it was almost ten years ago. I remember that at that time, Martin said that the last six or seven volumes of A Song of Ice and Fire were already being written and would be finished soon.

I just checked...

As expected, I still haven’t finished writing it!

There is no trace at all, and even the last news about the update was stopped in 2014!

Although I don’t want to watch it! But I still look forward to an ending.

I hope that series can start and end well, although the probability is really low.

After all, this is life in the true sense!

After thinking about it carefully, I found that my book is probably seven volumes in total. It is fantasy style and has become more and more heavy recently...

hiss.

I hope I don’t become him.jpg

In every sense of the word.

Pray nya——

In fact, writing such a long end-of-volume summary is thankless, time-consuming, and no one will read it, and it will also affect today's normal updates.

But I still hope that I can summarize more, reflect on my own problems, and grow slowly.

Come on me!

come on--
