Chapter 278

 Nightfall.

The chessboard was densely covered with warm black and white jade chess pieces. With a "click" sound, the white pieces held between slender fingers fell onto the chessboard after a long hesitation.

Chu Jiaoli raised the back of her hand to cover her lips and yawned quietly, then blinked hard, with some sleepy tears in the corners of her tired eyes.

Beigong Tengxiao reached out and took away the winning white piece on the chessboard, then raised his head and glanced at Chu Jiaoli who was holding on, gently raised the corners of his lips and said, "I am very jealous."

A word suddenly floated in the quiet air for a long time. Chu Jiaoli, who was taking a nap, was startled. She looked at him blankly with slightly sleepy eyes and said: "What?"

Beigong Tengxiao glanced at the chessboard again and said: "You have already lost."

Chu Jiaoli pursed her lips, lowered her head, picked up the chess pieces one by one, put them back into the chess box, and said: "Your Majesty is indeed a master of chess. He has won seven games in a row tonight."

Beigong Tengxiao stared at her tired eyes and said calmly: "So, I have played seven games of chess with you tonight."

After packing up the chess pieces, Chu Jiaoli had no intention of leaving. Instead, she placed another piece on the clean chess board. She sighed softly and yawned one after another. She coughed slightly in embarrassment.

, said: "Is the prince making fun of my concubine for not being as good as others?"

With a "click" sound, Beigong Tengxiao also dropped a beat, and a low-pitched voice sounded: "Not as good as...who?"

The tired Chu Jiaoli's thinking was obviously much slower than usual, and she didn't hear the trick he was playing. She opened her lips and said, "For example, Aunt Xu."

"Your chess skills are much better than hers." Beigong Tengxiao raised the corners of his lips with a slight sense of superiority. She was his favorite disciple who was taught by him personally. "I have only played two games with her."<

/p>

"Really?" Chu Jiaoli raised her eyebrows slightly, and her nervous mind about comparisons was relieved. "Maybe Aunt Xu was just nervous for a while and didn't perform well."

Beigong Tengxiao said with a smile in his eyes: "What do you mean, you want me to play chess with her more?"

Chu Jiaoli's hand holding the chess piece paused for a moment, then she unconsciously put it on with more force, saying: "I am just a concubine who has fallen out of favor, how can I influence the prince's thoughts?"

Beigong Tengxiao glanced at the chessboard, raised the corners of his lips, and said: "One wrong step, one wrong step, and you lose again."

Chu Jiaoli bit her lip, picked up the chess pieces, and prepared for the next game.

Beigong Tengxiao looked at her stubborn eyes, with a hint of doting helplessness flashing in his eyes, and said: "You may not want me to accompany you until dawn?"

Chu Jiaoli pursed her lips and said, "Your Majesty, you have had too much sex today, are you tired of it?"

Beigong Tengxiao looked at her with a half-smile but not a smile. What she said was like: I'm full after eating secretly outside, can't I eat when I get home?

"I will never get tired of doing anything with you, but I don't like to waste time on meaningless things."

Chu Jiaoli couldn't help biting her lip, her voice was obviously colder: "Is playing chess with my concubine a meaningless thing?"

"At least, you don't like playing chess that much." Beigong Tengxiao propped his chin on one hand and leaned his elbow on the table. After saying this, he didn't want to leave, looking like he was happy to accompany him.

When she first learned piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, she just wanted to become better, as long as she dabbled in something. Her biggest interests were reading, embroidery, and playing xun. Playing chess was not something she liked to do on a daily basis.

Chu Jiaoli sighed lightly, put the chess pieces back into the chess box, and said, "It's true that I'm not as interested as Aunt Xu."

Beigong Tengxiao chuckled and said, "Aunt Xu doesn't like playing chess."

Hearing this, Chu Jiaoli's brows furrowed slightly. Did he even know her preferences?

"She only knows how to play chess." Beigong Tengxiao added, "So, I have no choice but to play chess with her."

Hearing this, Chu Jiaoli's brows widened again. She bit her lip and said, "I'm really lucky that I happened to meet Aunt Xu. Otherwise, it would be the exclusive memory of the prince and her."
Beigong Tengxiao said seriously: "If she knows something that you don't know, I will definitely teach you personally."

Hearing this, Chu Jiaoli's heart skipped a beat. She raised her eyes and looked at him, her glass-like eyes shining with light.

Beigong Tengxiao stood up and walked to her, saying: "There is one thing that you know but she cannot, and I am determined not to teach her."

Chu Jiaoli raised her eyebrows in confusion and said, "What?"

The next moment, Beigong Tengxiao picked her up horizontally, with an ambiguous smile in his phoenix eyes, and said in a hoarse voice: "Warm the bed."

Hearing this, Chu Jiaoli blushed shyly, lowered her head and leaned on his chest.

Beigong Tengxiao put her on the bed, gently stroked her hair, and said, "Are you still angry about what happened this morning?"

Chu Jiaoli raised her eyebrows slightly: "This morning?"

The tip of Beigong Tengxiao's nose touched hers and he said softly: "It's about the child."

"My concubine is not angry." Chu Jiaoli smiled softly, raised her arms and put her arms around his neck, and said, "A trivial matter is not worth arguing about or affects our relationship. Everything is at the discretion of the prince."

Beigong Tengxiao pecked her lips hard as if punishing, and said: "Then when I am about to leave, will you ignore me?"

Chu Jiaoli pursed her lips in embarrassment and whispered: "I am... asleep..."

Hearing this, Beigong Tengxiao chuckled, touched her long hair lovingly, and pressed his lips against hers.

The next day, afternoon.

Chu Jiaoli and Chu Jiaotang returned to the Royal Palace.

The little girl is very easy to coax. After walking around all morning, yesterday's worries were forgotten. Now she is holding Chu Jiaoli in one hand and holding a windmill in the other, jumping up and down and humming.

Chu Jiaoli showed a loving and gentle smile, raised her hand to help her fix the hairpin, and said: "Be careful, your hair will fall apart."

Chu Jiaotang was stunned for a moment and looked at her with some confusion.

Chu Jiaoli was a little confused by her look. She raised her eyebrows and said softly: "What's wrong?"

Chu Jiaotang smiled and said: "Sister Huanli, I just regarded you as the third sister. You and the third sister are really alike."

The tip of Chu Jiaoli's nose felt sore. She pursed her lips and smiled faintly: "Because we look very similar."

"No." Chu Jiaotang shook her head and said, "I think you and the third sister are really similar. You are as gentle as her and take care of me, just like a biological sister."

Chu Jiaoli bit her lip secretly and said, "That's because Sister Huanli has many younger sisters. Of course Sister Huanli knows how to make her sisters happy."

"Is that so..." Chu Jiaotang nodded thoughtfully, then sighed in frustration and said, "Unfortunately, the third sister has changed now. She is not as good to me as you, sister Huanli... She is like

My second sister is just like her, cold and mean..."

Chu Jiaoli touched her head and said: "Perhaps the princess is pregnant. Sister Huanli heard that pregnant women will have bad tempers..."
