Chapter 240 Under the Wudang Mountain

Wang Hongyu saw this situation and knew that this was the most fundamental economic problem in the late Ming Dynasty.

This point is the fundamental internal cause, but it is not the inevitable cause of destruction.

Because if the other two things are handled well, it will be far from destroyed.

On the basis of land annexation and taxation issues, industrial and commercial taxes did not increase, and the inflow of silver from America decreased, resulting in a lack of another source of income for the court.

In addition, the war was severely damaged. Huang Taiji and the Mongols entered the country several times to carry out large-scale robberies, which continued to bleed the finances and national strength.

These two articles forced Chongzhen to increase taxes on farmers in the northwest and central plains.

As long as a little bit is added to the above, there will be a lot more middle-level bureaucrats.

In the end it was irreversible.

In short, these civil servants and bureaucrats do not have a strong driving force to increase taxes on industry, commerce and themselves. The bureaucrats have no choice but to dig deep into the farmers.

The peasants outside Jiangnan, Huguang, and Guangdong and Guangxi were dug deep until they could no longer survive.

Then died...

Why do farmers dig to this extent?

Because of the bloodletting of the Manchus, because of the Mongolian plunder, because the bureaucrats would not collect taxes from their own industry and commerce, and because of the natural and economic environment, the Ming Dynasty could not recover.

Wang Hongyu must not bully farmers.

The first is to bully the Jiannu slaves, and whoever hits whom should be beaten in reverse?

The second is to bully officials. Even Zhang Juzheng, a civil servant, was able to use imperial power to control them. He cleared land, suppressed mergers, and collected industrial and commercial taxes. He had imperial power, troops, and an industrial base, so he was better able to manage.

Educate these officials.

However, most of the officials at this time were scholars. In the future, there will definitely be scholars who scolded me behind my back.

But I want to cultivate a group of scholars who support me. There are also workers who also study and work as officials. The books they read are not all the same as those read by officials. Look, whose hands are the productive forces?

The third is to bully foreigners. The war in Europe reduced the amount of silver flowing into Ming Dynasty.

Which one hinders the flow of silver to the east, and which one hinders scientists from communicating with China? Which one may be more powerful than China in the future?

I, Wang Hongyu, will fight whichever one!

This is the difference between myself and these officials~

Regarding land, Wang Hongyu wants to do three things well.

1. Clear the land and acres.

Landlords and officials evade taxes? Sorry, tax evasion is a serious crime in later generations. I come from later generations, and I must take a heavy blow against these guys who evade the most taxes~

Second, break through the small-scale peasant economy.

The military system of the Tang Dynasty and the military system of the Ming Dynasty Guards, no matter how others in later generations tried to suppress them, they were all excellent policies based on the small-scale peasant economy.

But it just can't keep working.

Wang Hongyu will follow the teachings of the librarian and strive to break through the small-scale peasant economy and explore agricultural collectivization and urban industrialization.

Without productivity overtaking, without agriculture and industrial productivity leading the world, China cannot firmly dominate the world structure.

Third, the landowners went overseas and started all over again.

The song "Start Over" is catchy, but it does not belong to workers and peasants, but is most suitable for landlords.

Please big landowners, sing "If the heart is there, the dream is there", go overseas and start over again to build big farms~

These three things start from our own base area and are re-established in the places where we have reformed the land and brought it back to the mainstream, driving surrounding areas and other places with support to follow suit.

Gucheng is located in the second batch of pilot areas.

"Send a message to Ai Youzhi. I think Gucheng is a very good place. It is of great significance to the situation in the southwest and Liaodong. I will ask him for detailed information about this county."

Zhou Yijie understood: "Yes, make sure the news is spread to the right place, and at the same time not let outsiders know."

"Okay~ Remember to make it clear that as long as you have information, there is no need for him to take action."

"yes!"

After all, Ai Youzhi is also a new official, so it is not appropriate for him to take action directly.

I don’t have any other shortcomings as a person except to protect my shortcomings~

Ai Youzhi is one of our own, so of course we won't let our own people take risks.

But once someone dares to bully Ai Youzhi, don't blame me, Wang Hongyu, for being ruthless.

This is your own style.

The same goes for Gao Panlong and his gang. If they dare to scold my eldest brother, I will make the world despise him.

After passing Gu County, we could see the mountains from a distance.

The terrain here is different. Many hills are gradually visible, and the mountains are full of mist, like a fairy spirit.

A guide from my eldest brother’s family introduced that this place has left Gucheng County and entered Junzhou County.

"There are not many people in Junzhou, probably only half of the population in Gucheng."

The guide briefly introduced that in his opinion, there are differences in topography and population between Junzhou County and other counties in Xiangyang Prefecture. In fact, it is more like the counties in Yunyang Prefecture.

Belongs to mountainous and hilly areas.

Wang Hongyu asked: "Are there any specialties in Junzhou?"

“I’ve never heard of its specialties, but there is the world-famous Wudang Mountain.”

"Wudang Mountain...is there a Wudang sect on that mountain?"

The guide said proudly: "Of course there is! The Wudang Sect is very prosperous, the hall is prosperous, there are hundreds of masters in Taoism, and there are nearly a thousand disciples traveling around the world."

Wang Hongyu was quite surprised that the Wudang Sect was so prosperous in the Ming Dynasty: "What is the relationship between the imperial court and Wudang?"

"Hahaha, the relationship is very close, it can be said to be a royal dojo.

In addition to the head of the sect managing the internal affairs of the sect, there are also guarding eunuchs on the mountain to supervise the guard and protect the incense. The imperial court often sends people to offer sacrifices. Every newly appointed magistrate of Junzhou will go to the Zixiao Palace and other palaces in Wudang to offer sacrifices.

The statues of Zhang Sanfeng were all ordered by Emperor Yongle..."

Come to think of it, the Ming Dynasty was more supportive of Taoism, while the Jiajing people directly practiced Taoism and wanted to become immortals.

Except for Wanli, which supported the development of Buddhist temples because Empress Dowager Li believed in Buddhism, many other places strongly supported Taoism.

Before he finished speaking, he saw hundreds of Taoist priests in green and white robes in front of them. Looking from a distance, more than 100 Wudang Taoist priests were arranged in a sacrificial formation and performing rituals in the square below the hillside.

A middle-aged Taoist priest came up and greeted him: "Is this General Wang Hongyu?"

After receiving Wang Hongyu's affirmation, the middle-aged Taoist priest said: "The head of the Qing Dynasty specially invited the officials of Junzhu County to conduct a three-day water and land dojo at the intersection of Dalu to bring the heroes of Zhou Shen and generals back to their hometowns. The ritual ceremony will be over in two hours.

All those participating in the ritual are not allowed to leave the sacrificial position in the middle of the ceremony. Xiaodao has been waiting for the general here for two days. Please take a rest at the reception station."

Wang Hongyu said: "It doesn't matter, we can just look at the scenery around Wudang Mountain from a distance."

So under the leadership of Zhou Yijie, we went to the foot of Wudang Mountain to have a distant view.

Wudang Mountain is very big, and there are winding mountain roads built for pilgrims everywhere. There are gurgling streams beside the roads, and the hillsides are covered with flowers, as if we are back in spring.

Bai Juyi's "Peach Blossoms in Dalin Temple": "The fragrance of April in the human world is gone, and the peach blossoms in the mountain temples are beginning to bloom. I always regret that I can't find a place to return to spring, and I don't know where to turn."

It is midsummer now, but Wudang Mountain is as cool as spring.

The mountain stream has high hanging waterfalls and is very cool. When you come to Wudang Mountain in midsummer, the heat will disappear and it will be extremely cool. It can be said to be a "cool world" where "Wudang scenery is far away and secluded, and the hot summer in June turns into autumn".

The ancient building complex on the mountain is large in scale and majestic. It forms an architectural wonder of "five miles, one nunnery and ten miles of palace, with red walls and green tiles. The gold and silver are reflected in the towers, and Lin Xiu is reflected in the mirror", reaching the level of "Qiongge in the Fairy Mountain"

artistic conception.
