Chapter Six: The Born Buddha Set Sail to Seek the Moon

Qingchi looked angrily at Junior Brother Qinghe who asked him to have some face.

Wang Li silently glanced at the old monk who said, "This son is destined to me."

These words sounded so familiar that they made people's hearts beat faster for no reason.

It has that flavor.

Qingchi saw that the seven monks were motionless, so he directly took Wang Li's arm and left silently.

At this time, Master Qingzheng, the abbot, appeared again.

"Junior brother."

With just a soft call, Qingchi had to stop and responded obediently: "Senior brother, what are your orders?"

"Follow me." Abbot Qingzheng said and turned around.

The others smiled and looked at Qingchi, who stared back one by one, and then reluctantly led Wang Li to follow the abbot's footsteps.

Wang Li knew that he couldn't escape at this time, so he didn't bother to say anything, and just thought about it while walking.

Not long after, a group of people came to the Zen room deep in Bailong Temple.

The blue bricks and green tiles cannot conceal their age.

Seven eminent monks sat in a row, Qingchi grabbed Wang Li and refused to let go.

"Brother Abbot, if you have anything to say, please tell me as soon as possible. Junior brother still has something to do, and the Buddhist Scripture Pavilion cannot be left unattended for a long time."

As soon as these words came out, the other monks couldn't help but laugh.

Although Monk Qinghe is Qingchi's junior brother, he is the one who dares to say the most and is the best to say: "Senior brother, please let go of the child quickly. This is a temple. Don't let people think you are kidnapping the child."

"Nonsense!" he retorted, and Qingchi still let go of Wang Li.

Immediately afterwards, he said: "Now that the matter has come to an end, brothers and sisters, don't hide it. The poor monk said it bluntly first. Each of you has a disciple, but the poor monk has not yet accepted a disciple. Therefore, the poor monk has not accepted any disciples."

I sincerely ask all fellow disciples to give up this disciple to this poor monk!" As he spoke, he bowed deeply to the old monks who were sitting cross-legged.

Seeing this, Monk Qinghe, although he yelled at him several times, had no choice but to stand up and move away.

No matter what, Qingchi is his senior brother after all.

However, what was unexpected was that Qingchi seemed to have identified his direction and turned to face him again.

Qinghe could only keep walking quickly to avoid it. When he came to the door like a trot, he finally couldn't help shouting: "Senior brother, don't bully others too much!"

Qingchi raised his head with a joking expression on his face: "Junior brother, why did you say this?"

Wang Li watched from the side, shattering his previous judgment about Qingchi.

First impressions can indeed be deceiving. This is no sweeping monk, he is clearly a rogue monk!

"Junior brother, it makes no sense to say whether to give in or not. It is up to him to decide who to join." The person who spoke was none other than the old monk who had just said, "This person is destined to me."

Qingchi turned around instantly: "Brother Qingjiang, you have the most disciples in the temple, why bother fighting with the poor monks?"

The Qingjiang monk's smile did not diminish and he shook his head slightly, "When will the poor monk fight for it? It's just a matter of fairness."

"alright."

The abbot spoke again.

Qinghe then sat back down again.

Abbot: "Qingchi, come and sit too."

"yes."

The eight old monks sat down.

The abbot finally looked at Wang Li and said kindly: "Son, are you willing to join my Buddhist sect?"

Hearing this, Qingchi suddenly became anxious. He was on good terms with Jingyuan and knew that Wang Li did not want to become a monk, so he tried to recruit disciples directly while the iron was hot, but was disturbed by several brothers. Wang Li may have woken up now, and the abbot

If senior brother asks this question again, won't he be in trouble again?

The eight eminent monks looked at Wang Li at the same time.

Finally someone is willing to ask my opinion!

Wang Li couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

From the time he walked out of the Sutra Pavilion until now, these old monks had only allowed him to say one sentence.

However, Wang Li did not dare to be disrespectful to the old and kind abbot in front of him.

Bailong Temple is a place of spiritual practice. Although there are few disciples and cannot compare with those large sects, it is also an extraordinary temple. As the abbot of Bailong Temple, Master Qingzheng is by no means an ordinary person. What's more, Master Qingzheng's squinting eyes

His appearance would always remind Wang Li of a certain sentence from his previous life.

He did not rush to answer, but pretended to be thinking.

Seeing this, Abbot Qingzheng was not in a hurry. Instead, he turned to look at the junior brothers on both sides and talked about another thing.

"Junior brothers, do you know what are the prerequisites for understanding the Dharma from the sutras?"

Hearing this, several monks had a clear understanding in their hearts. They looked away from Wang Li and responded one after another.

And Wang Li also got the answer from their communication.

From the Buddhist scriptures, it is never empty talk to understand the method of practice.

However, what Monk Jingyuan said was not that complete, and he even missed the point at all.

First of all, what Wang Li has discovered: not all scriptures can be used to understand the true method.

Behind those scriptures without Buddhist chants, the person who copied them may be a newly ordained novice monk, or he may be a lay believer. Although there are no errors or omissions in the text of such scriptures, the real teachings are not simply hidden in horizontal folds.

Or between the lines.

Only those sutras that are uniquely miraculous, or are written by monks who have been practicing hard for many years and read with heart, or are blessed by great virtuous monks with profound Buddhist teachings, or even those who have attained the realm of attainment and are infused with Buddhist charm, can they have kings.

The carps "hear" different visions, big or small.

This step has already excluded many monks.

Because such scriptures are very rare and have always been passed down in an orderly manner, they are inaccessible to outsiders and rarely seen by monks.

Secondly, even if one or two Buddhist scriptures accidentally spread to the world, it would be difficult to easily detect the abnormality. Just like the fifth volume of "Miaofa Lotus Sutra" currently held by Wang Li, even if it is not found in Bailong Temple,

Is it that it has never been taken seriously and has just been placed with six other ordinary scriptures for many years?

Finally, even if someone discovers the uniqueness and rarity of this volume of scripture, it is not possible to understand the secret by studying it day and night.

Thousands of Buddhist gates stand in the world and have been passed down for countless years.

Such scriptures are rarely handed down, but many temples have inherited them to a greater or lesser extent.

And under such conditions, over the years, I have never heard of anyone in Buddhism understanding the method of practice from Buddhist scriptures.

Those monks who have practiced for many years and have achieved success can spend time slowly extracting the Dharma from it, but such actions are no longer in the category of "enlightening the Dharma from the sutras".

In other words, what is said in the sutra about enlightenment is not false, and the wonderful teachings of Buddhism are indeed real.

However, for the vast majority of Buddhist monks and monks, the reality is still extremely clear -

The sutra is the sutra, and the Dharma is the Dharma!

Otherwise, there is no need to divide this huge Sutra Pavilion into different floors, place different scriptures, books, sutras, and Dharma in different areas, and restrict access to certain floors.

After some exchanges, the eyes of the monks gathered on Wang Li again.

Abbot Qingzheng said slowly: "To understand the Dharma from the sutra, you first need to comprehend the original meaning of the sutra, and then focus on the emptiness and harmonize with the sutra's rhyme. If you are a mortal, you will naturally follow the steps. If you are successful in practice, you must return to nature and study with the heart of a mortal.

Enlightenment. Speaking of it, ordinary people have an advantage over practitioners. But the rhyme of the sutras is obscured by itself. Since ordinary people cannot detect it, how can they understand it?"

This is the biggest reason why so few people have been able to realize the Dharma in the sutras since ancient times.

"However, there are exceptions to everything. Thousands of years ago, Patriarch Xuan Xin only entered the Buddhist teachings for three days to realize the true Buddhist teachings from the Diamond Sutra. At that time, the sound of Brahma fell from the sky and the Vajra appeared, which lasted for several days."

Patriarch Xuanxin, a figure who lived more than a thousand years ago, is also the most recent legendary Patriarch of Bailong Temple. When mentioning this Patriarch, all the monks showed reverence on their faces.

Wang Li also chanted Amitabha softly.

Abbot Qingzheng: "Wang Li."

"The disciple is here."

"There are thousands of Buddhist temples in the world. Since ancient times, people who can understand the Dharma from the sutras have been called 'born Buddhists'. Once such people appear, they will be trained by the entire temple after entry, and they can even enter Western Buddhism in the future.

The holy land of Leiyin Temple is inherited by our great religion, promotes Buddhism, saves the world with compassion, and achieves heavenly merits, which can achieve fruition.

Are you willing to enter my Buddhist door?"

This inquiry is obviously different from the last time.

Although Abbot Qingzheng's tone remained unchanged, he logically spread the benefits to Wang Li. Although it was not implemented in practice, it was because of this that it made people even more imaginative.

Let me ask you, as a mortal, you suddenly learn that you are a "born Buddhist". Not only can you be cultivated by the entire Bailong Temple, but you can also enter Leiyin Temple, the holy land of Buddhism in the future. How can the encounter here not make your heart tremble?

However.

Wang Li thought more. Since he could get so much preferential treatment from Buddhism after entering the Buddhist sect, the term of being a lay disciple could be eliminated. Moreover, if he thought about returning to lay life in the future, it would be like a dream.

You can't just put on your pants and turn around and leave after eating and wiping down, and others will send you out with a smile, right?

I'm afraid I will send you directly to the West.

Therefore, Abbot Qingzheng's subtle reminder only strengthened Wang Li's pursuit.

Still the same sentence: It is impossible to become a monk!

The Guangli Bodhisattva in the temple always reminded him of Journey to the West.

The Buddhism in Journey to the West, whether it is the original work or the derivative work, is not really serious. There is also the story of "The Legend of the Gods" that cannot be erased from his mind, which makes him stay away from Buddhism. How can he become a monk and send himself to Xitian Lei in the future?

Want to go to Yin Temple? Even though Bailong Temple gave him a good feeling, the only monk he really knew from Bailong Temple was Master Jingyuan, and at most Qingchi.

What happens to others is yet to be known.

Even if you take another 10,000 steps back.

He ended his life hastily before getting married. Finally, he has another chance, but you let me become a monk?

No one can stop me from marrying my wife.

Neither did Shakyamuni.
