Chapter 163 Blood Axe

After the hunters waited for a long time, they finally arrived.

Looking from the darkness, it was a jagged team, like thieves in the night.

The two teams of armed greenskins emerged from the shell of a bombed-out bunker, like cautious herbivores, near a watering hole frequented by apex predators, moving quickly among the burning wreckage.

.

Soshyan stuck a finger into the trigger of his bolter.

Then he let go again.

These are just scouts, used to explore burning ruins.

The master who sent them must have hoped that these miscellaneous soldiers would expose themselves to any potential ambushers, but Soshyan had already given orders - no one was allowed to fire without his order.

None of the soldiers opened fire, although each of them was eager to destroy the aliens.

But if you want to tighten the trap and catch the prey completely, you have to wait for the opponent to put his head completely into the noose first.

Soshyan is very patient, he has been waiting for a week.

He stared at the enemy army, and he noticed that the enemy's armor had changed its paint. It was red at first, and now it was a mixture of burnt black and bone white.

There is no doubt that their prey is a cunning creature and even knows how to disguise its location and presence by changing its paint job.

Under the protection of his helmet, Soshyan smiled contemptuously.

This little trick can only be hidden from mortals.

Soon, these green-skinned vanguard troops advanced to the vicinity of another intact bunker, still moving cautiously and keeping a watchful eye on the sky and the invisible enemy.

Under the cover of the smoke of the battlefield, they disappeared from sight and were obscured by the smoke column.

Soshyan uses his heartbeat to time and calculate the distance the opponent has moved.

He occasionally wonders if he has made a mistake.

Maybe the greenskins dispersed into small groups and dispersed long ago.

Beside him, Armin was checking again and again, still staring into the distance.

Then, the big prize finally came.

A group of well-equipped greenskins emerged from the bunker of the maintenance facility and moved as cautiously as possible. They were neatly dressed in equipment and used equipment stolen from the Astra Militarum. They were led by a man dressed as a politician.

He looks like a scapegoat, but there is no dignity at all, just a funny green-skinned leader.

And it is Soshyan's target, the green-skinned war leader on the Foren-5 satellite, a Blood Ax boss.

It was its command and defense deployment that caused the Astra Militarum to suffer a great loss. This was a threat that must be eliminated.

According to the data, this type of green-skinned leader likes to imitate human tactics, including behavioral styles, so Soshyang boldly guessed that like human commanders, it would deploy its command post slightly behind the front.

But this alone was not enough. They used radio signals to continuously search, and it took a whole week to completely determine the location of the green leader's command post.

However, the first strike failed. They used armor-piercing rockets to destroy the command post, but they did not expect that the main part of the command post was actually underground.

After missing a hit, he tried to behead him again, but the opponent frantically called for artillery fire to cover his position. Soshyan could only retreat with his team first.

Now that he had alerted the enemy, Soshiyang simply chose to wait and see.

He was sure that the other party would definitely transfer the headquarters - but only after making sure that it was safe outside.

After waiting for a whole week, the other party's patience finally ran out.

The more important reason is that the Astra Militarum is launching a new round of attack, and even the Astral Knights' auxiliary army is joining in. There is even a whole battalion of heavy armored troops participating in this offensive.

Faced with a fierce armored offensive, the Blood Ax boss had to take the risk of leaving the destroyed command post and go to a place where he was needed more to command operations, otherwise the defense line would likely be shaken.

Using the locking ability of the helmet, Soshyan calculated that the number of Greenskins leaving the bunker reached six hundred, but they were all infantry - no support vehicles, no Dreadnoughts, just a few light cannons.

Apparently nothing could make him stop or reconsider his strategy.

What surprised him was that this seemingly small bunker could actually hold 600 greenskins, which meant that the underground area was quite large.

Nonetheless, he was convinced that the ambush would be successful, not least because the enemy lacked heavy firepower.

Soshyan saw the exaggerated caution in the enemy's movements, and he realized that the greenskins were still in a state of panic.

They seemed to know what was targeting them.

As the greenskins moved, Soshyan waited until he was sure that no more living creatures emerged from the cover.

So he stood up and reached back.

Ustad took out a flag, which he set up on the edge of the ruins where they were ambushing, then pulled out his bolter and held it close to his shoulder.

"For the Emperor!"

Soshyan shouted, and then the twenty-five warriors of the Astral Knights stood up together.

The next second, the violent wind caused by explosive bombs violently washed away the ruins around the bunker. Before the greenskins realized that they were under attack, the terrifying volleys killed a large number of enemies.

The subsequent second round of volleys killed and maimed hundreds of greenskins.

However, these green skins are indeed the most human-like green skins. After a brief period of confusion, they quickly entered the nearest bunker, lowered their heads and raised their guns to fight back.

Instead of advancing, the Astral Knights held their ground and opened fire on the enemy ranks.

Soshyan plays a keen-eyed shooter this time. He is very calm and chooses his targets carefully.

He looks for valuable targets in the greenskin team. This greenskin is different from other greenskins. The armor is decorated with many level symbols, which makes his task easy.

In addition to markings, his targets are also those guys with the most serious damage on their shoulder armor or helmets, including those with the most serious scars. These are all the elites among the greenskins.

He raised his gun and fired a bolt through the helmet of a green leather man who had many human bone pendants hanging on his breastplate.

Then he killed another one. This guy had a yellow star symbol engraved on his helmet. He was obviously from this green-skinned officer class.

There was also a greenskin holding a long chainsaw and power claws crackling. As he ran between two broken pillars, he was suddenly shot in the chest, and then died because his internal organs exploded.

Anyone who saw these kills would admire Soshyan's marksmanship.

Melee combat is certainly a part of the Astartes' daily training, but it would be fatal folly to ignore that they are all sharpshooters.

Soon Soshyan emptied the magazine, so he ejected the empty magazine and easily replaced it with a new one.

boom----!

Suddenly, a series of explosions unfolded along the battle line deployed by the Astral Knights, knocking down about three warriors.

Soshyan recognized the explosion of a light field artillery shell. It was obviously a recycled Imperial Army weapon. This was probably the best stubbornness of the greenskins.

But what made the greenskins despair was that all the knocked down warriors quickly stood up, dusted themselves off and continued shooting.

No one stops the killing.1603425758
