Chapter 23 Destruction

On the battle barge of the Ultramarines, senior officials from all the chapters participating in this battle gathered. They were all on the bridge, curiously looking at the "new recruit" who was dragged out of the subspace.

On the side, the think tank of the Ultramarines was panting heavily, his face as pale as paper.

Dragging Soshyan out that small distance almost killed him, but Soshyan's ability to come out alive surprised him even more, because he understood the dangers of the subspace better than any Space Marine present.

Even if he is protected by power armor and travels through the subspace with his body, this suicide stick makes no difference.

But he survived, and there didn't seem to be any big problems. The think tank secretly remembered Soshyan's name, and he needed to report this matter to the director of the think tank after returning to Macragge.

"It's not too late!"

After Soshyan got up from the ground, his first action was to yell at Venetilius.

"We can fight right away!"

"We might be able to."

Venetius nodded expressionlessly.

"But we won't do that."

"There are a full 771 Space Marines up there!"

"Yes."

"Those are my blood relatives! My brothers! My commanders! Our whole battle group is up there! And you just stood by while we fought bloody battles!"

Soshiyang's words immediately rose to the level of questioning and were directed at all the senior leaders of the war group here, so some people immediately expressed their dissatisfaction.

"You better watch your words, soldier!"

The leader of the Aurora Chapter stood up, pointing his right arm at Soshyan's head, with an imposing manner.

"It would be great if you could show such majesty in the battle with the aliens."

Soshyan pushed back the opponent's words without fear, and the irritated Honor Guards of the Aurora Chapter immediately drew their swords out of their sheaths, showing a fierce fighting attitude.

When the situation became tense, Venetilius raised his arm, and upon seeing this, the Chapter Master of the Aurora Chapter also signaled the Honor Guard to put away their weapons.

"If you really cared about the lives of those soldiers, you wouldn't have made such a crazy plan when everyone was discussing the situation."

"You think we've made you lose face?"

Soshyan's words still carry a gun and a stick. No matter how well-trained Venetius is, veins can't help but pop out on his forehead, and his hand holding the hilt of the sword is gradually tightening.

Seeing that the situation was getting worse, the Chapter Master of the Invaders Chapter stepped out. Not only did he think that both Chapters were from the Imperial Fists lineage, he also had some friendship with Amurad.

"Soshyan."

He said in a calm tone:

"Getting angry at the Seventh Company Commander will not change the situation."

Soshyan turned his body covered in blood and battle scars and approached the opponent.

"Sir, those are 771 Space Marines! Our entire battle group, except for the new recruits who stayed behind at Obsidian, are all on it!"

"But we cannot continue to consume the lives of more soldiers just because of a certain possibility... The world engine must be terminated immediately. If it recovers, the blood you have paid will be completely wasted."

Hearing these words, Suo Shiyang was furious. He pulled off his helmet and revealed his blood-stained face.

"Just get closer, send out some Thunderhawks, and save some lives."

"The World Engine is not completely dead. It is still a dangerous thing. We cannot risk the fleet."

"This is it, this is your style."

Soshiyang gritted his teeth and sneered.

"You would rather run away with your butt stuck out than take a little risk to save the people who ended this disaster, so this is not the first time you have done this, right? Just like you want to give up on the Vader Galaxy

.”

The following words were obviously spoken by Soshyan to Venetilius, but the other party just looked at him indifferently without saying a word.

Suddenly, Soshyan raised his bolter, and at that moment, everyone took out their weapons and pointed them at him.

Soshyan targeted Venetilius.

"Hold your fire!"

The think tank who dragged Soshyan out of the subspace quickly raised his hands and said loudly:

"Don't be stupid! Enough blood has been shed today!"

Everyone else slowly lowered their weapons, but Soshyan was still aiming at Venetilius.

"Don't think this can scare me! My war group is about to perish! My brothers have all died in battle! There is nothing to scare me!"

His hands were trembling slightly, but the think tank was using his mental power to try to suppress the muzzle of his gun, and wrestling with this force made Soshyan's angry expression even more ferocious.

Venetius suddenly sighed and said calmly:

"We won't get close, Soshyan, I can't do this. You definitely know what's going on above me better than I do. If there is even the slightest chance of saving your battle group, I will be the first to go up there.

Even if we destroy all our battleships and everyone...but the battle is over, my think tank can feel very little life energy, and the same goes for the think tanks of other battle groups, including the think tank director."

The think tanks nodded one after another, confirming Venetilius's statement.

"At least you can try! Even if one -"

Soshyan is still making his final struggle.

"Although we are far more powerful than mortals."

Venetius walked to Soshyan and said softly:

"But we...are not gods."

The cruel reality is the most powerful argument. The bridge began to tremble, and the entire battleship began to tremble, but the resonance was caused by all weapons attacking at the same time - the fleet began to project destructive firepower towards the world engine.

Soshyan looked forward, his eyes distracted, then turned and left Venitilius without saying another word.

Under the gaze of everyone, the last survivor of the battle group shuffled to the thick porthole, his blood-stained hands pressed against the reinforced glass.

The huge flashing cube in the distance suddenly erupted with a violent flash of light, like a broken glass product. It was shattered in an instant, and a large amount of fragments were sprayed into the endless void...

The world engine is destroyed.

His battle group was also destroyed.

Soshyan closed his eyes in pain and hit his forehead heavily on the glass, as if this could relieve the stinging pain in his heart.

The heavy impact caused blood to pour out of his forehead, dripping down his cheeks and dripping from his chin to the floor, mixed with tears rolling down from the corners of his eyes - mortals always think that the Astartes are angels without blood and tears.

However, it is not.

There are few things that can make super warriors like them feel pain, but witnessing the destruction of their own chapter and the fall of their blood brothers is not among them. Soshyan is very unfortunate to be one of the "few people" who experience this pain.

Accompanied by a dull thumping sound, everyone on the bridge lowered their heads silently and paid silent tribute to the 771 warriors who died in the battle.
